Up in the afternoon of November 28 WILL YOU STILL LOVE ME ... - Replay of John returning Kristen’s call while she is with Brady and he is with Marlena. Marlena flashes back to their altercation. Kristen sweetly thanks John for calling as he needs to know something. He sighs what now. Brady stares at Kristen stares into the phone. Pause. John thinks he already knows what this is about. Kristen claims she meant to say that Brady apologized for being a mean jerk to her. She thanks him in case he had anything to do with it. John drawls he had nothing to do with it but hopes they will all co-exist peacefully. Kristen is grateful and ends the call. John now updates Marlena and muses Kristen has not lost her touch. He wonders if Brady’s apology was what initially upset doc. - At his apartment, shirtless Dan gets a call from Jen, who just got off the phone with the famed Dr. Lewis, who has agreed to let Daniel take part in his trial. Dan wonders when he can see him. Today. Jen assures him that even by tonight those pesky tremors could be ancient history! He walks around his pad getting dressed as she informs him there is also a release form to sign concerning the risks involved. The doc hesitates. She hopes it is not happening too fast. He nervously states it is still worth the risk. - At the rectory, Father Eric would like to balance the holy books. Sister Margaret has the quarterly financial papers of the parish. It is quite a pile and Eric is exasperated there is no spreadsheet. He wonders whether they have found a suitable secretary. Er, no new applicants so far. Exit Sister Margaret. Enter Nicole bearing coffee for her priestly pal. She thanks Eric for letting her hang out here. He enjoys her company and says so, Nicole still has Jen on her mind but Eric has a great idea and invites her to work for him! Nicole bursts out laughing at the idea of her working at a church! Eric blinks. He offers her water. She laughs about wearing a habit. Eric explains the parish needs a secretary not a nun. Her typing and shorthand are admittedly lousy but he is still interested and points out they would pay for her room and board. At the convent. Nicole cannot believe he wants her to live among nuns and continues to cackle. He argues they would be able to see each other often as he would be nearby. Nicole, however, is on a roll. She cannot stop cracking jokes and decides to pass on the chance. Father Eric reasons she will eventually run out of money and has no other opportunities in Salem. She claims she has plenty of savings in part thanks to EJ. He urges her to at least think it over. He wears her down. She will consider. He now reminds her that to make things right with her life, she will still have to apologize to Daniel Jonas, as she did to Jen. Nicole gets serious. - Hope is working at the pub. Kayla and Roman arrive with an offer to cover. Hope claims there is no need. Help is already here, though she is at times bossy … Lo and behold there stands Caroline! Family hug! Kayla wipes away a tear. Roman cannot believe she is home! Caroline gushes she was such a good student that she and Bo were able to convince the doctor that she could come back. She admits she still experiences the occasional memory lapse. Roman asks where Bo is. Hope explains he is with Ciara. She hugs Caroline and gushes they are all back home where they belong! - At cozy Horton house, pushy little Jen gets off the phone with Daniel. Abigail remarks he seems to mean much to her mom. Jen talks friendship. Abigail thinks he is lucky to have her as a friend then and they embrace. - Dan tries to eat his cereal with an unsteady hand when Maggie shows up, urging him to read her online research. There are dire side effects of the treatment Jen suggested. They can make the tremors permanent! The medicine man is already aware of it. Nevertheless, he plans to meet with Dr, Lewis to have his injection in an hour. Maggie warns him not to but he insists he has made up his mind. Maggie now heads to Jen’s house and exclaims to her that this could be the last treatment Daniel is able to have if it does not work. Jen knows and so does he. Maggie suspects Jen was unable to tell Dan she loved him too and that is why she is trying to give him back his other love – surgery. She demands she talk him out of this insanity before it is too late! Jen loudly disagrees for she feels Dr. Dan is doing the right thing. Maggie calls her dangerously naïve. If she does not stop him, then she shall! She still loves her niece but wishes she would stay out of her son’s life! - John asks Marlena whether she was upset cos Brady told Kristen he was sorry. She airily claims that is it.He assures her this is no war but she wants Kristen to keep her distance - from both her and those she loves. John flashes back to Kristen throwing her arms around him and agrees! “Yup.” - Kristen reminds Brady she had said she wanted only to make peace. Brady drawls he owes her one for not exposing Marlena. She powders her nose and points out he saved her from the muggers so they seem to be even now. He did his damage control so why is he still here anyway? She teases he acted scary earlier. Brady now suggests they try and get along, as they are both on the church board. Kristen is all for it and starts to turn the doorknob, but winces when her wrist hurts. Brady wants to take a look. She blinks at him as he gazes into her eyes, mesmerized. She stammers she is sure it will be better by tomorrow and walks out, then turns back for her handbag, They end up inches apart. feeling the heat. Kristen suddenly steps away. Brady stares after her. - Nicole insists she cannot face Daniel. Eric suspects she still loves him. She admits he made her feel she was not worthless. What if he does not forgive her? Eric the spiritual advisor does not believe she will be able to move forward until she tries. There is no time like the present! Nicole eventually agrees and hopes he will wish her luck. He does and she goes on her way. - John and Marlena walk and talk with their coffees. He wonders why she cancelled her lunch date with Eric. Things got busy … she will go and apologize. Before they part company, she implores John not to let this thing with Kristen come between them. He emotionally whispers he will not let it and holds her tight. - Nicole is at Dan’s door. He is surprised to see her. She makes a joke about selling vacuums, then gets serious and explains she wants to talk. She sits on the leather sofa and sighs she is sorry, then laments it sounds so inadequate. “I am so sorry for accusing Jennifer of killing my baby.” She was desperate and grieving but there is no excuse … Dan politely states there is no need to apologize but she thinks there is. He was always good to her and yet she used lies and deceit to hold onto him. He would certainly be within his rights to loathe her. She cries she hopes one day he will be able to forgive her. Dan considers. - Marlena surprises working Father Eric at the rectory with his favorite cookies. He offers her one and she giggles she is starved! He reminds her she missed their lunch and hopes everything is well. She admits things are spinning out of control and she keeps making it worse! - Brady is leaning against a table at the town square café, staring into space. Papa John approaches and notes he looks intense. He heard what happened with Kristen. Brady stammers he must mean him letting her off the hook. Indeed. Brady notes she is a tough cookie to read. “That’s a fact” drawls John. Brady now realizes he has a missed call from Eric and goes to explain why he was racing put of the pub when they last met. John’s eyes narrow as he saunters off. He senses something ... - Back at the rectory, Eric fully understands why Marlena has her doubts about Kristen. Marlena is relieved … that is, until Kristen herself arrives unannounced, supposedly to discuss church business. She offers to leave but Marlena is the one to go and asks Eric to come over for supper soon. Kristen now complains to the priest that his mother does not trust her.
