Marlena smiles the nice weather reminded them of their fun trip to New York. They now want to recreate that happy time and are sorry they missed her Paris celebration. John jokes they were busy pretending to be dead. He immediately regrets his choice of words and apologizes profusely, but Lexie feels no apology is necessary. She feels truly blessed. Abe agrees. Marlena and Lexie sit with their New York food and Marlena asks about her fainting spells. She senses she is putting on a brave face for family. However, whenever she is ready to share her feelings, she is here for her. Lexie gets teary-eyed. She only wants to enjoy her time remaining, though she does wish she knew how much that time was. She wants to make sure she says her proper goodbyes. Then again, perhaps it is better not knowing. She will never be able to really say goodbye. She is also sorry for what her father has done but Marlena insists she has nothing to do with his wrongdoings. Lexie thinks she has amazing friends. Marlena whispers they are the lucky ones. Lexie proposes they make a pact. To have no regrets and enjoy every precious moment they have left. Marlena gasps she can make that deal. They emotionally embrace and exchange I love yous. - Austin and Carrie are in Dr. Dan's office. Realizing they are anxious, the medicine man will put a rush on those pregnancy test results. Enter Rafe and Nicole. Nicole says an uncomfortable hello, unaware they were there. Austin explains they just dropped by to check if Carrie really is pregnant. Rafe exclaims they said she was earlier. Austin explains they just want confirmation. He must now leave with Dan to go over some insurance forms. Rafe would like a moment alone with Carrie, who stares woefully at him. Nicole agrees to wait outside the door. Once there, she appears anxious, and informs Dan that Rafe is one guy who cannot get a break. Dan thinks she ought to be more concerned about herself. They now talk paternity test. Nicole laments she has nothing. Dan disagrees. She has everything. Nicole emotionally declares she will protect her child from EJ no matter what! Meanwhile inside, Rafe realizes this is why Carrie was trying to reach him. He is a tad bitter she slept with Austin, then realizes she believed he was sleeping with Nicole. He is sorry. So is she. He sighs she is pregnant but she was about to leave her husband. "Now what?" She cries she does not know. Rafe is curious why she told Austin. He just found out and there was no stopping him. Carrie adds that if the test comes back negative, she plans to tell him she is leaving him! Rafe wonders what she intends to do if it is positive ... Outside, Austin returns. Nicole covers and claims Rafe is not inside with his wife. He is filling out paperwork. She goes in to tell Carrie to come out and warns the pair Austin is back and does not know Rafe is in here. Carrie murmurs she will see Austin later and departs. Nicole wonders if seeing each other again is such a good idea. Rafe should stay far away from Carrie until they find out the test results from Daniel. Rafe mutters that will be in about an hour. Nicole perceives he is worried she will not leave Austin if she is pregnant. Rafe does not deny it and appears vulnerable. - EJ is at the town square café, pleasantly giving Will his latest errands related to his mayoral position. Will jokes he is taking the power seriously. He had assumed he had an agenda. EJ does not deny it, yet claims he only wishes to fulfill his promises to the electorate. That is his agenda. Will's phone rings and he turns it off. EJ wonders who it was. His mom. EJ gives him a look. He would like to know what is going on with his motha. Will grumbles he already knows. EJ calls it immaterial that he knows, for Sami told him. He states there is no need for embarrassment. His motha spoke to him because she regretted how she handled the situation. He encouraged her to reach out to him. Will complains it did not work, for she was all about her and got mad about whom he had told before her. EJ points out Sami is now trying to reach out for forgiveness. But Will does not think he can do that. EJ reasons she might change this time - for her son. Will stands up and shares his view that if he is on his mother's side, then he is certainly not on his side! EJ takes it all in stride. He calmly orders William to sit down. He insists he has always had his best interest at heart. Will quips "Whatever." He becomes sarcastic about Stefano helping nab the arms dealer and appears surprised EJ was not involved. He notes he does not seem happy about it. EJ drawls he is not. This is not the first time fatha has kept him in the dark about his schemes. Little does he know that William is minutes away from sharing one that will shock him to the core ...! - From her table at the pub, Sami leaves her latest message for Will to please answer her. Kate approaches and notes he is a smart boy! "Go away," sighs Sami. Kate sits and insists on discussing Will. She is very concerned about her grandson and wonders why he and his mother are having problems. If she does not spill, then she will go to Lucas or Will. Sami admits her son informed her that he is gay at long last. Kate is surprised she had no idea. Sami wonders how she knew. Sami had just assumed he was bothered about her sleeping with EJ, nothing else. Kate snaps it was not about her. The poor lad was crying out for help! She becomes sympathetic, remarking they are family nevertheless. Sami prays Will still loves her. Kate knows he does. She also has some sincere advice to offer ... - Nicole is with Dan when Carrie and Austin return for the test results. It will be soon. Nicole offers to give her some pregnancy tips. Dan suggests he and Austin step out for some coffee. They do just that. Nicole realizes Carrie is torn. "Just take it one step at a time." And she knows what she is talking about! Carrie is aware that she did not want anyone to know about her baby being EJ's. Nicole implores her not to ever share that secret with anyone ...
