Episode 12,093 - Kristen has opened her hotel room door to roguish John. They soap stare. She asks why he came. He whispers she knows in a seductive voice. She ponders shutting the door but he stops the door with a strong hand and drawls she does not really wanna do that! She muses he wants to play and warns him that hotel security consists of former football players. She could have him thrown out in a phone call. He hands her the phone and dares her to just do it! Pause. She sighs this is twisted, turns away, and he walks in, closing the door. Time to make things right. She reminds him she weds tomorrow. He murmurs tonight can be about what she wants and they should be honest. What if she is not sure herself? She stares at the wedding dress on the bed. He asks her to turn around. She cries she cannot and suddenly snaps to get out. He comes up behind her and drawls that is better. Kristen acts indignant. How dare he try to seduce her the night before her wedding to someone who actually loves her! Does his behavior not bother him! She cries she is not like him and is not capable of feeling nothing. John raises an eyebrow and claims he knows not what they should be feeling. He points out she did not ask him to leave, then takes a look at the necklace she is supposed to wear, the little blue one. She grabs it back. He wonders who her right man is and presents her with the pearls she almost wore to their wedding, for the right man. He seductively places them around her neck and whispers he could not stop thinking about her in the necklace. He turns her around and she diverts her gaze. He calls her perfect, then confesses that in his mind, when he imagined it, she was wearing the pearls and nothing else! - At the rectory, handsome Father Eric slams down the phone. Nervous Nicole asks if it was cos of Rafe or Will. No news on that front. He refuses to shares what irked him and she accuses him of being mad at her. He appears perplexed and wonders where that came from. The blonde in the bangs is overly sensitive tonight. The priest admits he is stressing over minor things and he should not. It makes him question his calling. Nicole notes he signed up for life. He sighs being a priest is rather political. The bishop is coming to town to consecrate the new building and he has had to prepare with zoning and things that are out of his control. There was red tape, he got permits, then an agency called and said he had been out of his jurisdiction. Alas, the necessary building permits are all in limbo! Now the bishop will not have a finished building to bless! Nicole the secretary is sympathetic. Eric assumes the bishop will think he is not the right man to be a priest. She gives him a pep talk. He is working hard to ensure the school is ready. Tis a noble cause. Eric is exasperated he is busy pushing papers, nothing more. She thinks he is being hard on himself and notes he is too good for his own good. She stands in front of a picture of Jesus and muses the fact that he is too good makes him the perfect priest. She smiles and excuses herself to run some errands, her face flushed, though Eric seems to want her to stay. Once she is gone, he looks like a lost soul. #thornbirds - At the pub, Johnny tells Marlena he took something. What did he steal? Johnny flashes back to sneaking the picture. He states it was Ciara’s. Marlena wants him to show her. He stares at his blue bag on the table. He wants chocolate milk first. No deal. Abe now enters and greets Johnny, who calls him uncle. Marlena suggests Johnny play his game at the next table. Abe sits down to join Marlena and whispers he realizes the little DiMera does not know about Will. He is relieved to learn Will will be alright, then asks about her. He spoke with John the other day. Marlena laments everyone must know by now. - Brady decides he will go off to surprise his almost bride. Jen tries to stop him but he is not a superstitious type, he is merely a man in love. Dan and Jen go after him and he stops. Jen explains Kristen was not in form for guests tonight but lover boy believes that will make his surprise appearance even better. Dan urges him to listen to Jen, who claims Kristen needs the room right now. She needs to be alooooone. Brady folds his arms and a frown creases his brow. What is she not telling him? He demands to know what is bothering his beloved. - JJ and his scruffy new friend are walking around the park as high as kites, laughing at nothing. For a while anyway. JJ wants to find some fun in Salem. He ends up spying on Jen and Dan talking to Brady at the town square, as Jen repeats Kristen wants to be alone. Jen remarks Kristen is overwhelmed, by the marriage, and the possibility of adopting a baby. What a gift! Brady grins. Jen thinks she was not expecting to fall in love with him. Brady gushes he feels the same way. Jen now convinces him to give his bride her space. JJ stares from a distance at Dan holding Jen, kissing her on the head. He is angry and high and bored in Salem. Not the best combination. His stoner pal wants to go but JJ keeps watching. Jen invites Brady to join her and Dan, for she needs to speak with Eric at the church. Brady declines, given that Eric chose not to attend his wedding tomorrow. However, he remains upbeat and asks Jen to give his best to JJ. Brady the almost groom happily steps away. Dan drapes his arm around Jen and decides to kiss her by the Horton plaque. JJ glares daggers. Meanwhile blissful Brady returns to the outdoor café and glances at his watch. - Kristen quips the pearls John has placed around her neck are heavy. Too heavy! She has never worn them before as they were saved for the wedding that never was. He too remembers and claims he is sorry. Kristen drinks her wine and flies at him for abandoning her, leaving her in a heap. He is sorry. He assumed they could start over. Is she not ready for a new beginning? They should at least finish what they started. She gets emotional. John declares they must make things right. Things will not be right until he picks her up off the floor. Is that not why she came back, is that not what they both need? He moves in for a kiss and she swoons. It is all part of her plan, too ...! Read Part 2 of Friday plus Spoilers ...! |
