He gives a mysterious order. Moments later, he is nowhere to be seen. Sami returns and she is out for blood! EJ stops dahling from storming upstairs to confront the phoenix. Sami gets miffed. He points out fatha did have the evidence stolen for William. She feels he really just wants to hold it over her and Will’s head so it was not altruistic. EJ warns her fatha does not take well to threats and makes her inhale. She does and he takes her to the couch by hand. He wants her to remember she is now family and he can protect her. He makes light of Stefano’s power. Sami exclaims he has got the goods on them both and she has had enough of living here with Darth Vader! Little Johnny appears and pouts to stop fighting. EJ picks up the lad and pleasantly states they were not fighting. Johnny now talks dessert. Sami talks fruit and waits with her son as EJ steps into the kitchen with a grin. Sami brings up living here and the picture he drew for school of Count Dracula. Johnny admits he was happier living with Rafe. EJ has returned with a tray and stops when he hears the admission. Sami proceeds to promote daddy. Johnny still misses Rafe and innocently suggests they move back in with both Rafe and daddy. EJ clears his throat and tenderly takes his boy the tray. He had this made especially for him. Johnny happily eats the sweet. Sami decides to take him upstairs to get ready for bed. - Nicole drops her gold handbag at the park. Father Eric helps her pick up the contents and suddenly grabs the woman in red in a passionate kiss. But that was just a dream. The passionate parish secretary gasps back to reality at the office and curses it is happening again, then sends files flying from her desk. She crouches down to retrieve the fallen papers and asks the Lord to please stop making her desire the priest. Said priest now arrives and gently takes her by the hand for real. He helps her pick up the files and apologizes for all the work. Mesmerized Nicole thanks him and then muses some things never change. Their eyes lock with longing. He wonders what she means. She quips she is still a mess and he is still wonderful. He is not so sure and confesses he made things worse with John. He shares her fear that things will go sour at the wedding. Nicole is sorry. He breathes he appreciates her telling him and also that she is still here with him. He holds her wrist. She gasps she is glad too! Nicole now catches herself and notes it is better to be here than on the streets. She appreciates his help. He is relieved she does not feel judged. Nicole sighs poor Brady must feel judged. Being in love clouds everything. Eric agrees. She thinks maybe she can help his family. Eric replies he will be sad to see her go but Nicole declares she is not going anywhere! She teases no one else would hire her. Eric is visibly relieved, but assures her she does not need to make any commitments. - At the trendy coffee house, Will laments to Sonny he hopes no one else finds out about Nick, cos Gabi does not need the stress. Sonny reassures him. Kate flounces in with an expensive pair of lilac lace baby booties. Will admires them. Sonny steps away to see about a delivery. Kate notices and wonders why Will seems to want to be alone. Will wonders why she ended her relationship with Rafe. Kate pauses. They sit and he presses cos he cares about them both. Stylish Kate quips he was originally right, it would not have worked out. Sonny comes back and remarks she seemed so happy. Will agrees. Why did she dump him! They just want her to be happy. Kate insists she has happiness from her wonderful job, the baby on the way, and also the fact that she is rid of her gargoyle ex-husband. Sonny and Will sit together, smiling, and Will speaks from experience when he sagely states when one is in love, it is more obvious than one thinks! Even Lucas noticed she seemed happy. Diva Kate thinks the guys are sweet. They point out her great advice helped get them on track. She calls them the happiest couple in Salem and takes her leave. Outside, she pauses and woefully looks down at her phone, as she considers getting in touch with Rafe ... - At the pub, boss lady Caroline suggests busy waitress Gabi go upstairs to rest. Gabi reminds her she no longer lives there. Caroline becomes frustrated about her fading memory, but notes she is luckier than most. She just loves the support of her friends and family. Gabi gushes Nick appreciates her support too. Caroline is curious where he has been lately. - Hope runs into Vargas at the town square. He mentions seeing Nick the other day and refers to him with a grin as one who turned his life around. Vargas credits good people with helping Nick, just as Hope helped him. He is grateful and gushes the job at the church has been great. Hope buys his reformed nice guy routine. She gets a call from the station, tells him to be in touch, and walks off. Vargas sighs impatiently. Nearby at the park, Rafe rages at Nick that he gave him the benefit of the doubt. Nick claims he stepped up for his sister. Rafe gives him an icy glare. He wishes his sister would leave the loon, never look back! He accuses him of deceiving his Gabi. He demands to know why he does not want to let Will near his own child. Nick denies it. Rafe claims he knows the whole truth. Nick starts to get worried. Rafe recounts how he became obsessed with Melanie and did anything to get what he wanted. Nick stammers he is not that guy anymore. Rafe realizes Hope is calling and threatens to expose her cousin to her. He answers the call as Nick stares. Hope wants to meet at the station to discuss a case. Before Rafe goes, Nick nervously implores him not to say anything to Gabi. Rafe decides she deserves to know as soon as he sees her what kind of man she is married too. Nick’s eyes get wild when Rafe growls he is telling her today! Rafe starts to walk away ... - Nick gets to the town square and speaks with Gabi on the phone. He promises he will see her soon. Vargas now calls and taunts he was talking to Hope about him. He reminds him about that job. Nick yells like a loon that he is on it and hangs up. He is coming undone. He storms into the coffee house, where Will and Sonny are standing together and demands to know what the hell Will told Rafe! Sonny does not want a scene. Will drawls he did not have to say anything for Rafe figured out the truth on his own, just as he suspects Gabi will. Nick demands to know what truth. Will snaps that he is nothing but a homophobic jerk. Nick argues he only said the F word as a mistake and has since apologized. Sonny explains this is about who he really is, as demonstrated through his actions. Nick scoffs and goes off to enlighten Gabi. Sonny turns to Will, who shakes his head in disbelief. - At the station, Rafe discusses an informant with Hope. Hard working Hope becomes upset she is late picking up Ciara, who wanted to stay at a friend's place instead of coming home. It is hard being both mommy and daddy. Rafe gives her a pep talk and suggests she lower her standards. Things will improve when Bo is back. She sighs, then brings up Rafe becoming an uncle. Rafe looks intense. She immediately perceives something is the matter and wonders what it is. He drawls it is nothing, he is just being an overprotective big brother. Hope muses the baby will be well looked after and, thanks to Kate, very well dressed. Rafe grins and agrees, then stands up. Stefano’s dirty cop now enters with an envelope for Hope. He is covering for a sick cop. He informs Rafe his package has arrived. It is the nifty new FBI jacket for FBI fan Johnny. He decides to call EJ about the jacket. EJ smoothly agrees to meet him in twenty minutes at the pub. He leaves a message for Sami that he has an errand and saunters out. In front of the mansion, he then calls someone about a mysterious job he wants done right away. - Eric and Nicole are happily chatting when Vargas enters with a pleasant greeting. Nicole becomes strained. Vargas talks stripping floors. Eric notes it is late but Vargas is anxious to get started. The priest remembers he has a prayer service, bids them goodnight, and exits. Vargas taunts Nicole that Eric must know she has the hots for him. She calls him a con. He boasts he will not be around much longer. She suspiciously wonders what he is up to ...
