John holds her back from attacking him. Stefano warns if they do not cooperate, something will happen to Marlena. His man already gave her that pretty flower so they know how verrrry close he is. Hope now holds John back. The phoenix reminds them he wants the piece of art Gina and the Pawn stole. John wants a promise they will be granted their free will and freedom to go home. Stefano taunts they loved Bo and Marlena, but they also loved each other as Princess Gina and his pawn! He smirks. John drawls that they ended up with Marlena and Bo despite his attempts to keep them apart in the past. It simply demonstrates how powerful that love always was. Stefano claims not to care. John wants his assurance he will let them become themselves again after they have done his bidding as Gina and the Pawn. Stefano purrs they will have to trust him. John scoffs. Hope stares with worry. Stefano soon summons a famous hypnotist. John hopes he is not Rolf's brother! Stefano does not want names mentioned. He explains he will put them in another state of consciousness with a certain gas, which will open their minds to being Gina and the Pawn. The man with the Euro-accent adds the key to their success will be dependent on how willing they are. Everything is stored in their subconscious and remains there, given how long they lived as their alter egos. Stefano now proudly produces a memento to trigger their memory - a silver engraved compact belonging to Princess Gina. Eerie music is heard. Hope does not want her damn contact! They just want their freedom! Stefano warns them they must play. The hypnotist prepares ... - Marlena laughs at the absurdity of Kate thinking anything is going on between her and sinister Stefano cos she despises him! She knows he is responsible for John being stuck in Alamania, not to mention Bo's attack. Besides, she and Kate used to be friends. Kate laments she now knows he is still obsessed with his Queen of the Night. Her eyes are filled with torment. She complains Stefano even refers to her as the Queen of the Night in their home and he also said Sami is her mother's daughter, in a complimentary way. Marlena is surprised she would think that makes her a threat to her marriage. What is really going on? Kate shakes her pretty head as she remembers the file he had on Marlena. She now regains her composure and pretends she was overreacting. She is certain of her husband's love. Marlena wants to know where Stefano is and when he shall return. She knows he is keeping John from her! She suddenly realizes Kate has no idea. She argues that Bo needs Hope at his side. What has her monster of a husband done this time! Kate defends him. Marlena calls her cold for not caring ... - At DiMera mansion, EJ demands to know why Billie is rummaging through his father's files. She pretends she assumed they were Kate's Countess W files. EJ grins then she should look at the offices if what she says is even true! She gets sarcastic with Mr. Mayor. He states he is sorry if he seemed rather harsh, though he is looking out for his father's interests. She informs him she is looking out for her mother's interests. EJ acknowledges they do have that one thing in common. They were almost involved once upon a time. She quips she dodged a bullet. He suggests she go to her Countess W office and look for files. She smiles she will once she is settled. She is moving in! She elaborates. EJ appears preoccupied. He wonders where her mother is. He actually needs to discuss something with her. Kate waltzes in and assumes it is about Sami! - At the pub, Sami screams at Rafe for sleeping with Nicole. Rafe denies it and warns Sami she is making a fool of herself. Sami thinks she is right and calls him a damn hypocrite. Carrie listens intently. Rafe insists it is not true. Sami insists it is. And he paraded Nicole around too. She thinks it is all because of her mistake. Rafe retorts what she did was more than a mistake. Sami accuses him of twisting the knife by running around with Carrie and Nicole. He can have the loft for all she cares! She accuses him of dirty revenge sex. And Carrie has insinuated herself in the middle of their marriage. Rafe wants her to leave Carrie out of it. She snaps she witnessed their deep tonsil dive already. Rafe insists he did not sleep with Nicole. Sami demands to know why he was half naked in her hotel room. Carrie gives him a look. He pleads innocence. Sami still wants to know why he had no shirt on and was in the bedroom with her.What else could it be but sex! He suspects this was the doing of EJ, twisting things around. Sami is not sure what to believe, but she is convinced Rafe is not the man she once thought he was. Carrie cannot believe she now listens to EJ . Sami insists EJ is smart and knows what he saw. Rafe and Nicole are having an affair! - EJ asks for some privacy. Kate thinks Billie should stay but Billie would rather oblige and excuses herself. EJ brings up Kate's foolish vendetta against the mother of his children. He orders her to drop her custody attempt for Samantha is a good mother. Kate cannot believe that he is defending the woman who ruined his marriage. EJ clarifies his position and issues her a not so subtle warning ... - The gas is administered. John and Hope are still themselves, albeit groggy. Stefano orders his man to administer more gas. The hypnotist warns that increasing the dosage would be dangerous. The phoenix frowns impatiently.
