Lexie shows up and sheepishly explains she was the one who posted his bail. The cop discreetly steps away to finish the paperwork. Abe profusely thanks her. She would have had the right to turn her back on him, given what happened. She softly admits she did not want Theo's daddy to spend another day in jail. Abe misses them both. He sighs he lost his focus during the campaign. Being home with his family means more than any win. Lexie misses that too and has decided she owes him an apology. She should never have turned her back on him and for that she is sorry. He understands, as he did cheat on the debate. Lexie knows that he is a good man who made a mistake. She whispers she is sorry she was on her high horse and hopes he will forgive her. He emotionally tells her there is nothing to forgive and tenderly touches her face. "I love you. I always will!" She smiles. Reunited and it feels so good ... - Billie joins Kate at the Coffee House. Kate notices she is pale. She has been at the hospital too long talking to comatose Bo. Kate makes a snide remark but Billie wishes she would be more sympathetic. Kate suggests a scone. Billie laments she is worried as no one has been able to reach Hope and John. Something is amiss. Kate talks scone calories. Billie wants her to share what she must know. What is hubby Stefano up to this time! Kate frowns. She informs her daughter she crossed a line by mentioning Stefano's name without respect. He is away on business that is totally unrelated to John or Hope. Billie quips but it has everything to do with Marlena. She suspects he is still obsessed with the blonde. Kate denies it. Billie argues that he took steps to keep John miles away from her. This is déjà vu all over again! Kate blinks. She repeats that Stefano has nothing to do with John and Hope. Who knows what those two are doing anyway! She is miffed her daughter has insulted her marriage. Billie realizes she truly loves the phoenix and sighs she is in big trouble! Kate has heard quite enough and gets up from the table in an elegant huff. - Marlena walks outside, leaving another message for John, whom she has not heard from. She loves and misses him. Will approaches as she sits on a bench. He would like them to talk. She agrees that would be a good idea. Will now claims he might have given her the wrong impression for he does not really believe he is gay! He merely overreacted, like his father did when he saw him horsing around with Sonny. He asks Marlena to forget what he said. She patiently points out she cannot and notes he is upset at the thought of his family believing he is gay. It troubles her. She stands up and reminds him she loves him and always will, no matter what! He sighs she thinks he is gay. Marlena smiles she loves him, the whole package, whether gay or straight. However, he is selling papa Lucas short by assuming he is old fashioned. Will still feels both his parents would be disappointed in him. Marlena acknowledges they might need time, but she is more concerned about him. He will have a hard life if he does not accept who he is. "I won't be gay. I just won't!" pouts the young man. - Nicole is reposing on the town square sofa when Rafe appears. She perceives he is preoccupied and suspects it is about Carrie. He should be happy by now. What gives? Rafe complains he went to tell her how he feels, but then overheard her deciding to work things out with Austin. He would rater not elaborate and asks after her. How is she? Nicole smiles her appetite is back thanks to the cheeseburger he took her out for. She thanks him for keeping her pregnancy a secret. She is sorry she dragged him into her mess. EJ suddenly saunters up and quips Salem's lovers out for a stroll are nauseatingly romantic! He sarcastically wants to know how they hooked up. As he recalls, she used to call Rafe names, including a jerk. Nicole snaps that the only jerk present is EJ! She wants a moment alone with him and assures her new BFF she will be fine. Rafe urges her to call if she needs anything and walks off. EJ bitterly refers to Rafe as Samantha's leavings. He assumed she had higher standards! Nicole states who she is with is not his business. EJ accuses her of embarrassing him publicly. She points out he has done a good job of that all by himself. He reminds her she is his still wife. Nicole now drops a bombshell. She has already filed those old divorce papers he once signed, so soon the divorce will be final! She turns away in a huff. EJ turns and unhappily stares after her. He is dismayed she would want to hurt him. She gasps she will never ever take him back. EJ sadly admits it truly kills him that he succeeded in pushing her away. She is the only girl he has ever loved! She looks at him with woeful eyes. - Sami is at the pub working the phone, trying to find a place to live, but not every landlord wants a tenant with kids. Enter Carrie, who wants to clear the air. Sami declares there is no way she will forgive her! Carrie sits down and urges her to give peace a chance. Sami reminds her she stole her husband, who has even asked her for a divorce. Carrie's mouth falls open. "What? I didn't know." Sami flies at her for chasing after her husband. Carrie calmly reminds her that she was the one who cheated with EJ. Sami accuses her of making a play for Rafe before that. Carrie suggests she for once take responsibility for what she did. Sami admits she is a screwup but at least she is not a husband stealing hypocrite! Carrie claims she has done nothing wrong and suggests that Sami is the hypocrite. Sami recalls how Carrie was heard confessing she was falling in love with Austin, who also cheated. Sami is now stunned to hear that Abigail's tale was a lie. She wonders if that will change anything. Carrie does not know what she will do about Austin. Sami comments about her wanting two men fighting over her. Meanwhile, she is alone again and Carrie comes out smelling like a rose. It is not fair and she hates her for it! Sami storms out and slams the door behind herself. - Marlena wants to know if Will thinks there is something wrong with being gay. He explains Sonny is great, but he wants a family. Marlena assures him gay people do that. One should take what one is given in life. Will admits he feels he fits in with Sonny and his friends. He muses his grandma is his BFF. Marlena giggles and hugs him tight. She praises him for getting stronger every day. He is becoming one hell of a man! She cries she is so proud of him and they hug again. - EJ does not want to let Nicole leave. She grabs back her purse and refuses to be drawn back into his world of lies and deceit. When they are divorced, nothing will remain that bonds them together. She wistfully bids him goodbye, hopes he will have a lousy life, and takes her leave.
