She soon has a visitor at her door. Tis grinning Lucas, who wonders if she is gonna invite him in! Sami stares in disbelief. He comes in and she gasps he is in Hong Kong! He teases he took a wrong turn, then explains she said her life was imploding again and she was having trouble with son Will. Sami emotionally thanks him for coming halfway around the world for her and they embrace. Lucas makes himself at home and tells her to explain how she came to have sex with EJ. She will need to be able to explain it to Rafe. Sami asks why he used to drink. Cos he was scared and could not face his life the way it was. Sami notes he wanted to self-destruct. He agrees. She explains that was how she felt when she feared her son was dead. She wanted to forget the pain. He realizes that was when Will saw. Sami is very sorry about it. He must have taken the job with EJ for that very reason. Lucas thinks it was something else, since Will has admitted to her there is something going on. He intends to talk to him face to face, man-to-man, and is upbeat. Sami teases his optimism is annoying. He teases at least there is someone in town who does not hate her. That would be him! Sami cannot help but smile. She later laments she keeps making Rafe angry. Lucas thinks that is par for the course and urges her not to be a quitter. She needs to dig out of this big hole she dug herself into. Sami suddenly gets testy and accuses him of rubbing it in her face. He can just go back to Hong Kong for all she cares. Lucas gives her a knowing look ... - Austin and Carrie are unpacking for their romantic getaway at Green Mountain Lodge. She is touched as it is where they first made love. She loves all his flowers and attention but she is the one who screwed up, not him! Austin pauses. Meanwhile, obsessed Abigail is busy making her own arrangements at her computer and exclaims "YES!" - Austin informs Carrie that this is just about the two of them being on track. They embrace. He shuts his eyes. - Gabi signs for some flowers at the spa. They are from Chad with a cute note attached. She thinks they are for her, as the note is not addressed to anyone. Enter Chad. How does she like the flowers? Mel walks in, loudly assumes they are for her, and Chad charmingly confirms it. Mel thanks him with a kiss and he is elated. Gabi wonders what exactly they are.Mel gushes they are together. Gabi is curious if Abigail knows. Chad explains she does and she is cool with it. Gabi forces a smile. As soon as the happy couple have stepped away, she breaks the vase of flowers, then pretends it was only a mishap. No one suspects otherwise. Abigail excitedly comes in, to invite BFF Mel to the Green Mountain Lodge before they start modeling. It would be such a fun ski weekend! Chad can come too. Chad thinks that would be strange. Abigail insists she is happy for them. They will be so happy they came. The girls flounce off to look at the website. Gabi hopes Chad is not going. He is too smart for that! It would be stupid to go! Chad later informs Mel that he will not be joining the two friends, though he will be here for her when she gets back. They hug and giggle. The two friends soon depart. Chad thanks Gabi for making him realize he should let the two BFFs go without him. He owes her one. She gives him the eye and hopes he means it ... - Brady is at the pub. He sees a magazine article about Mad World and walks out, then considers, flashing back to happy, hotter times. Madison too has just seen the article in her room but does not care. She woefully sits down. She gets an unexpected text message and soon opens the door to Brady. She laments she wanted to go somewhere, for she cannot listen to his disappointment in her another time! She tries to close the door. He opens it and drawls that is not why he is there! She hurt him in a way no one could. He still has her ring. She shattered his faith in addition to hurting him. The reason he is here is to confess he loves her and that is why she hurt him so badly. He has been at a loss as all the love he feels is still there. And it would hurt him more to live without her. She reminds him how he pushed her away. He acknowledges he was angry but now wants to be with her. "I need you because I love you." She smiles and says she loves him too. They cry and hold each other tight, then kiss like a couple in love. She thought she had lost him, yet now he is here to stay. He announces she must get Ian out of her life. She admits it will not be as easy as he might believe. Brady stares darkly ... - Replay of Hope and John at the café as he reasons the past does not exist. The door opens. John turns and bark at Stefano. What the hell is he doing there! The phoenix enters with a smirk, a European scarf, and muses he could ask them the same question! He is pleased to see them, but notes the establishment is closed. John accuses him of playing games, but he claims he was out for a stroll. John insists he orchestrated his and Hope's so-called marriage. The phoenix innocently says he is on holiday. John asks where the wifey is, in that case. Stefano taunts them for not traveling with their own significant others. Hope mutters he is responsible for that. John declares this discussion is over. The phoenix airily states if they are waiting for someone, perhaps the person is just LATE. They are suspicious. He again plays innocent and adds he hopes they have a lawyer, for there are many strict laws in the land of Alamania, especially when it comes to outsiders. Hope frowns."What are you really after?" He smugly states he will not give away the ending when they are barely at the beginning, admits it is fun, and departs, wishing them a good evening. John becomes pensive. He knows Stefano believes he has the upper hand in this game. They must take it back and fast ...! - After they have finished with the slopes, Austin and Carrie kiss by the Green Mountain Lodge fireplace and she flirts she wants to stay in their room. They kiss as a song is heard. "I'll always be here, holding you near ... so remember tonight ..." Austin passionately kisses his wife. They are soon in bed and she is all smiles.
