LIAR LIAR!.
- At the town square, Abigail is desperately seeking Austin, like usual.
Mel wonders if she has lost her mind! She warns her to stop hounding Austin and Carrie. It was bad enough what she did on the trip. Abigail, however, remains delusional about herself and Austin belonging together. Mel thinks Austin will not share her enthusiasm - yet again! She warns
her friend that Austin is probably looking for Carrie in order to apologize. Abigail disagrees. She argues that Carrie betrayed Austin with Rafe and has treated him badly since they came back to Salem. Mel is unable to convince the girl that Austin does not want her, just as he keeps on saying!
- Meanwhile, Austin assumes Carrie is sleeping in their bed at the hotel and apologizes for cheating on her drunk. She gets up. Tis sister Billie
and she is not impressed that he cheated! Austin is glad to see her. She gets back to what he was saying when he thought she was Carrie. Austin proceeds to tell her the whole sordid story about getting drunk, Abigail,
the Green Mountain Lodge, and the woman-child's obsession.
- Rafe enters the office and finds Carrie crying alone in the dark. He consoles her with a hug and encourages her to tell him her story. And so she does. Rafe is shocked and disgusted by young Abigail chasing after
a happily married man. Carrie feels humiliated. She pours out her heart. Rafe wonders if their kiss was what led to it. Carrie remarks no one made Austin cheat. She never imagined he would betray her. Rafe continues to console her. Carrie laments they did not act on their feelings. They were loyal to their spouses and look where it got them. They even had to give up their business together!
- In the land of Alamania, cat burglars John and Hope have been busted - by Stefano! He taunts them and whips out their passports. John curses that he is a bastard. Hope blames him for what happened to Bo, but the phoenix denies any involvement. What happened to Bo was not his style. Nevertheless, he taunts her that now she will not be able to rush home to him. Hope glares at him. Is EJ being mayor not enough for the power hungry phoenix! John accuses him of orchestrating everything, down to the last detail. Hope implores him to let her go to her ailing husband. The police are heard approaching. Stefano claims it is too late now! And the Alamanian authorities are notoriously tough on lawbreakers. However,
his men will be able to lead the police on the wrong path so that they will have time to escape. If that is what they want. John becomes suspicious.
- Billie cannot believe that young Abi chased Austin. He is old enough
to be her father. She also does not believe that such a child is even aware of the meaning of the word love. She just thinks she is in love. Austin sighs he regrets getting drunk. Now the girl will not go away! Billie later gets an update on Bo. The Salem patient is doing alright, there has been no change. Austin is surprised to hear what happened to the experienced cop. Their discussion returns to his marriage. Billie wonders what he is going to do to make things right with Carrie. She advises him to show her that he is the same man she originally fell in love with. Austin hugs her. He is so grateful to have his sister in Salem!
- Abigail lets it slip to Mel that it will be purrfect the first time she and Austin make love. Mel is shocked. She finally extracts the truth from her
- that she never made love with Austin, he just wrongly assumed they did the night he got drunk. Mel is horrified the whole thing was a lie.
- Carrie and Rafe discuss the problems they have been having with their spouses. Carrie confesses she feels she cheated on Austin - in her heart.
- In the land of Alamania, Hope and John are back at the hotel. Stefano has informed them they are now indebted to him and he will eventually collect. He has a job for them. They will receive the instructions shortly. In the meantime, he will hang on to their passports. He assures Hope that Lexie is a capable doctor so Bo will be fine. Hope is frustrated and sends
a bag flying.
- Mel has heard quite enough. She insists that Abigail go to Austin and tell him the truth - that they never even had an affair!
- Carrie drops a bombshell on Rafe, who is not so sure he wants to hear
it. She announces Austin must have felt betrayed because of what he sensed, which she knows to be true. This whole time she has been falling in love - with RAFE!
