Episode 12,045 - At the apartment, Chloe has just received an envelope and Nancy is curious. Chloe calls it the key to Dan’s heart. Nancy wonders why she keeps pursuing the man who only wants Jen the twit. Cos she looooves the father of her child. Nancy snaps she is not thinking clearly and lists the recent madness. Chloe claims to have damage control. Nancy gets sarcastic. Chloe opens the envelope and complains this is not what she wanted. Parker’s new birth certificate, with Phillip removed as the father and replaced with Dan’s name but alas the father’s name was left blank! She needs it right now, especially after how terrible last night was. Nancy admits even her bag of tricks is empty ... - Abigail in her updo bids Jen a good morning at the cozy Horton house. Jen is anxiously trying to putter about. It makes Abigail wonder what happened with Dan and Chloe this time. Jen keeps busy with the china and flashes back to Chloe acting like she and Daniel had had a affair. Abigail wants to know what Chloe has done. Jen sadly states it is between her and Dan, never mind Chloe. She suggests her daughter go have herself some fun. Pretty Abigail flounces off with a purpose, her eyes shining. - Shirtless Cam gets a call while in bed. “What do you want now?” he sighs. “Yes, I have it. I know I was late but ... fine ... just try not to be obvious.” He ends the call, shakes his head, and gets a safety deposit box from under his bed. It contains a stash of cash. He proceeds to count. - Marlena still wants to know about John’s plan to ruin Kristen is but he would rather not discuss. She suddenly worries he might have started to fall for Kristen’s lovey dovey routine with his son. John sighs he owes her no explanation. She points out they will not survive as a couple if he does not open up to her. He mutters she was the one person he always counted on. The blonde emotionally tells him how much she loves him and how much they survived. However, this could tear them apart! Enter Roman, sorry for the interruption. John sarcastically says hello again. Marlena asks for a moment so Roman discreetly steps away to the counter. Marlena insists she needs the truth from John about Kristen. He growls maybe if she had been honest from the start, he would have known sooner ... He stops and Marlena concludes he does not trust Kristen and has a plan. He refuses to say more and storms out, slamming the door. Roman turns around with his coffee. He saunters over to let Marlena know how sorry he is. He wishes he could do something. Perhaps he can. She alludes to him keeping his distance, given how fragile her marriage is at present. He will do that and reminds her he is always a phone call away. Meanwhile, at the park, Brady solemnly shares his view with Kristen that papa John still wants her, given all the chances he is now letting her have. He does not like it! Kristen’s eyes widen. She looks ready to jump for joy when Brady suggests his father is going nuts with jealousy right now. Kristen wonders if he is sure. Indeed. Kristen asks when he thinks John lied - when he claimed she was out to get him, or now? Brady stares. He notes she had warned him his dad would say anything to come between them. She suggests he wants his son back. Brady hopes he is being sincere but if not, he will not be able to keep them apart! Kristen hugs him and boldly shares an idea, a way to test John. They should get married! Brady reminds her they already discussed this. It appears his answer is still no. She thinks they should at least pretend. Brady would rather not lie to his pop. He will take one day at a time. She is thankful they have each other and feels badly for Jen, given the rough patch she and Dan have come to. Perhaps she should go see her. Brady thinks that would be a good idea. Kristen acts overwhelmed and sniffles that at least Jen accepts she is not the woman she once was. Brady frowns. He knows she was hurt when his dad broke her heart and promises no one will ever hurt her like that again. Meanwhile, John is in black as he confirms his reservations for tonight on the phone. His face is a tense mask. He clutches the plaque from Isabella’s gondola and vows not to let Kristen hurt their son ever! Marlena arrives, once more demanding answers. How can he not reach out to his wife, the woman he loves and yet reach out to evil Kristen? John considers. He is about to say too much, however, far too much ... - At the hospital, Maggie wishes Dan a good morning. She brings up the not so merry widow. The doc is down and would rather not discuss Jen. In fact, he does not even want to hear her name! He gets himself coffee as the redhead urges him not to let go of true love. He laments the problem was not him! He now explains he is replacing a colleague at a medical conference in San Francisco and hopes she will help out with Parker. Maggie feels now is not the time for him to leave town. She loves both him and Jen and warns that Jen cannot take another loss. She faces him with her glittery jewelry and whispers if he loves not Jen like she loves him, it is best to walk away. But if he does love her that much, why mope? Exit the glamorous redhead. Dan groans and ponders. He looks down at his phone. He now calls Chloe and announces he must come over and see her. She excitedly gushes she will be here and pretties herself up for the occasion. - Kristen drops by to visit stressed Jen, and wonders why the long face. Jen updates her on finding Dan in bed with Chloe in his room, Chloe’s strange claim that nothing happened. Kristen tells her to fight for her man and not let the twit triumph! If she loves him, she owes it to them both to fight for their love. She must try again! Meanwhile Chloe is a vision in her partially sheer black outfit. She is thrilled but worried about Dan knowing what she did. How can she explain being in his room when Jen arrived and he was fast asleep in bed? Nancy has no new idea. Knock knock! Dan looks intense. Chloe does not seem to notice. She sweetly asks Nancy for some privacy. Dan thinks that is not necessary and updates them on the conference he must attend. Nancy exclaims she had wanted to take Parker to visit hunky hubby Craig and daughter Joy in New York. She can do it now. Chloe appears confused. Nancy goes to attend to Parker. Dan notes her mom seems homesick. Perhaps they should get another nanny. Chloe wonders what Jen told him this time cos she already said she was sorry. Dr. Love does not understand. Sorry for what? Oh oh! Chloe stammers sorry for what she did. Dan assumes he means sorry she kissed him. Before he can continue, Nancy appears with Parker, ready for an outing with his da. He gets excited and takes off with his son. Chloe insists to her mother that things are going her way. “Something amazing just happened!” Nancy looks worried. Chloe clarifies. Dan has not spoken to Jen and has no clue what happened. Nancy would rather not be negative, but what about when Jen talks to him and he does get a clue! She has a bad feeling. - At the hospital, Cam asks the nurse if anyone has come looking for him. Negative. Until now. He is pleased to see trendy Abigail, who has to drop off a psych assignment. He flirts and they decide to go have coffee. When they come back, she notes he seems tired, maybe from all the double shifts. He claims he will be fine. She suggests a dominos tournament. She always played with her dad. They will probably talk and laugh a lot. Cam would love to but he is busy. Another double shift? He pretends yes and asks for a rain check. Abigail believes him. But she shouldn’t. - Brady runs into Maggie at the coffee house and she updates him on Daniel’s love life woes. Brady is sympathetic. She dares to ask how he is finding the DiMera mansion. Great and now John is also trying to accept Kristen as part of the family. Maggie stares into space and primly shakes the sugar packet for her coffee. They sit and talk over their coffees the way Salemites do. Brady sips his and admits a part of him still believe his father has feelings for Kristen. Maggie emphatically states she was a witness to their illustrious history and she is sure he is not jealous of his son. However, he will certainly never forget that past! Brady becomes indignant that she too cannot overcome the past. Does she suspect John is lying about accepting Kristen? The redhead cannot say. Brady grumbles about his father playing him but Maggie stops him. John is putting a lot on the line for him. He owes him at least the benefit of the doubt. Brady sighs. Maggie reminds him how deeply his father loves him. - Once Abigail is gone and he is back at the nurse’s station, Cam excuses himself for more coffee. He walks off with a thug who is waiting. Abigail returns and innocently asks where he is. The nurse points her in the right direction. - Dan sits on a bench with Parker and apologizes for missing the first few years of his life. Parkers gushes he knows he loves him. Dan takes him on his lap and teases does he know how he will show him? “Big hug!” smiles Parker. Dan laughs and embraces his boy. Jen arrives and murmurs hi. He murmurs hi right back. She wonders if they could talk about Chloe and about them too. - The thug is in a room alone with Cam, ready to get down to business ...
