Hope reads the Clyde story again on her tablet at the pub. Rafe catches her... Kate sits at a club booth, believing Clyde awaits. Surprise! Tis Stefano, who sent the summons from Clyde's phone. Diva Kate declares she would rather see him in prison. Stefano is even more amused. Kate calls the cops to come and get their phoenix fugitive. Stefano's eyes twinkle in DiMera delight ... Commissioner Roman is on a call with John from the hospital. John and Abe are on their way ... Roman wants a word with Serena. He is after the full story ... Victor approaches Zander with his two goons. He growls the time has come to pay the price ... Eric obsesses over his near death kiss with Nicole. Enter the Marlena clad in a bright red sweater. She hopes he is alright. In another room, Nicole obsesses over her near death kiss with Eric. She realizes something is wrong ... Hope insists to Rafe she is on the right track cos Clyde is dirtier than dirt. Rafe reasons he poses a clear and present danger. Ciara needs her mother. Hope wonders whether he is doing anything. Only having Gabi and Arianna watched as a precaution. Victor believed it was best to back off so he would rather believe him and avoid any collateral damage. Besides anyone who crosses a Kiriakis eventually pays the price ... Zander is visibly upset. Victor snaps to weep for the last time ... Serena will not say any details but urges Roman to stop Zander before anyone else gets hurt ...Nicole wants to see Eric. Eric wants to see Nicole ... Rafe does not want anything to happen to Hope and says so with sincere emotion in his voice ... Roman senses Serena is not saying everything. John and Abe arrive. John is busy on the phone. Abe cannot help but notice how nervous trembling Serena looks as he solemnly states they need to speak about what happened ... Marlena stops Eric from leaving his bed. Roman walks in and hopes to help. He seeks to understand what exactly happened. Eric exclaims Zander wanted to KILL them ... Victor the Greek knows everything. He rages at Zander for going rogue and disobeying his order to leave Nicole alone. He does not take defiance lightly from anyone, not even a family member ... Nicole admits to Dan that she was trapped alone with Eric awhile. He is shocked that Serena was mixed up in smuggling blood diamonds with Zander and even more shocked when Nicole reveals Zanimal's murderous past, his early prison release that was facilitated by Dan's godfather ... Hope gets the call about the DiMera fugitive sighting and takes off to arrest him at long last ... Stefano muses the coffee is as good as in Europa and makes small talk with Kate. She wants him in prison so she does not have to see him at all and waltzes out when Hope arrives with an officer. She reads Stefano his rights and he laughs his head off ... Cool John joins Marlena and Roman in their son's room. He suggests Roman let him do the questioning since he is not related. Roman knows police protocol and exits. Marlena insists on staying. John appears pleased and proceeds to question Eric, who becomes tense. Marlena takes her brief leave to fetch some more ice for his overheated face. John gently tells the Salem patient he can speak now that Marlena is out of the room. He realized he wanted to spare her of the sordid details ... Dan and John have soon both been updated on the Serena/Zander story ... Victor slams Zander for daring to defy him and planning to flee. He found the stash he was running with as well. Zander lies he was about to tell him when his two men took him down. Lies all lies! Zander gets cocky about the cops having not a shred of evidence against him. The Greek kingpin growls this is not a matter for the cops, this is the kind of thing that gets dealt with on the inside. He takes a seat, adding he did not know his place. Zander snaps he did his dirty work no one else would and all he got in return was being treated like one who was unworthy, unlike Daniel, who can do no wrong. He is not even his own flesh and blood ... Dan must depart to give his own statement. He kisses Nicole, sorry for what she went through. Nicole gasps she has got to tell him something. Roman enters, asking her all about what went down while she and Eric were trapped together. Meanwhile John asks Eric if anything else happened while he and Nicole were trapped together ... Neither Eric nor Nicole make any mention of the moment they shared down in that sizzling space ... Stefano smugly suggests Hope check with the station. She does and is dismayed to discover the charges against him were suspiciously dropped. Stefano smiles he paid the taxes owed to solve the misunderstanding. Hope gives him the evil eye ... Victor does not deny respecting Dan. So this is what it was all about! Zander denies it and declares he was protecting Victor and his business dealings as Nicole was digging for dirt. He vows he would give his own life for Victor or take the life of anyone who posed a threat to their family ... Marlena sees Serena at the hospital and confronts her for not coming clean in order to save Eric. She warns her to stay away from him and storms off ... Kate runs into Rafe at the square and boasts about bringing Stefano down. He is being arrested as they speak. Rafe enlightens her. Stefano managed to cut a deal so all charges against him were dropped ... John is grateful for Eric's cooperation and wishes him well. When he steps out he spies Marlena and asks doc how she is doing. She is alright. He promises the police will get the Zanimal who attacked Eric. She knows and believes Eric is going to be alright. John now wonders about them. Marlena lets him know where things stand and he does the same for her ... John and Marlena are not over ...! Nicole is all alone in her hospital room remembering ... The Greek tycoon tells his nasty nephew how appalled he is by his behavior. He regrets getting him released from prison and lectures him for his ingratitude. He has one last question to ask. Would he really sacrifice his own life for him? Zander assures him he would. Victor coldly turns away. "So be it!" Dangerous drums play ... Abe is asking Serena questions she does not seem to want to answer. Dan appears and updates Abe on the blood diamonds tag team of Serena and Zander... Rafe suspiciously questions the timing of Stefano's deal. Something must be going down ... Abe advises Serena to start talking. She demands a lawyer first ... Victor's goons get Zander down on his knees execution style ...Marlena and John have finally made progress ... Nicole stares up at Eric and he weakly wanders into her room. Their eyes lock in longing ... THE END |
