A blue shadow is cast over sad Chad in the DiMera garden. He remembers making magical love to the fair Abigail. Enter Zoe the seductive editor. The woman in red is pleased he invited her over. Champagne awaits. But she senses Chad is feeling down. He declares the DiMera stock is down and his mood reflects this ...Abigail senses Ben's rage and wonders what is the matter. He suggests she tell him, then covers he had not completely cleaned the place. He smiles an insincere smile... Dan attends to Nicole in the passageway. She is perspiring and burning up with no response. Brady attends to Eric, who has an extreme response when he realizes Serena is in the room. He rages to get away ... The tranquilizer renders Zander unconscious for a moment. He is quietly carried away, as per the orders ... Dan presses on Nicole's slowly beating heart. Brady goes for water. Nicole eventually comes to for a moment and gasps Eric's name ... Chad assures the ambitious editor he has asked Stefano to allow her to do more stories. She wishes this meeting was not about work ... Ben wonders whether Abigail has announced she is moving in to mama Jen. Not yet. What is stopping her? She states she has to speak with him about something if she is to move in. Ben waits for her to come clean about her affair... Dan manages to prop Nicole up. Eric gasps he must see her, then spies Serena and has another angry outburst. Serena does not seem to be deterred ... Nicole opens her eyes for a second and weakly asks ERIC? Dan explains it is Dan. Her eyes close and her mind is muddled with memories of moments with Dan and then Eric, but what was a dream and what was real ...? John, Abe, and a couple of cops arrive at the scene of the crime. Dan curses the ambulance is not coming and calls Kayla to update her on the two patients that are to be transferred to the hospital with heatstroke - Nicole as well as Eric. Kayla is aghast and assures the medicine man she will make sure they are ready for them ... Abe departs to direct the ambulance. Eric is still raging at Serena in his semi-delirious state ... Back at boyfriend Ben's apartment Abigail gulps. She hopes Ben will not get mad but ... she uhhhhhh wants to pay half the rent. Ben blinks ...Zoe sips her champagne in the DiMera garden and continues to flirt ... The gang finally get to the hospital and the patients are placed in intensive care. Brady blurts out he knows who did this! Abe is all ears. Serena's eyes widen with worry ... Ben questions the timing of independent Abigail's announcement ... Chad gets defensive when Zoe digs into what had him down and snaps he pays her to edit not analyze him. She starts to leave in a huff but he stops her ... Eric sweats in his hospital bed. Dr. Kayla is at his side with water. He begs her to tell him about Nicole. Nicole is in bed. In fact Dan is soap staring at the sleeping heroine. He is so sorry for ever doubting her. Brady enters and asks for an update. The patient is not out of danger just yet. There could be brain damage. The two men worry together ... Woman in red Zoe wants to know what Chad wants. He regrets taking out his miserable mood on her. She sighs she should not have flirted. He sighs he thought she was doing it for her career. Zoe threatens to resign. But Chad begs her to stay ... Back at his place Ben bitterly accuses Abigail of only agreeing to live with him out of pity. She protests and points out he is the only one who loves her and she loves him too. He demands she prove it and pulls her into a passionate kiss ... Back at the hospital John gives out of town Marlena an update on Eric over the phone. Brady, Abe, and Serena step in. Brady explains how they came to discover Eric and Nicole, whom they feared were in grave danger. Serena gets even more quiet by the minute ... The Salem P.D. are searching for suspect Zander. Abe gets a call and discusses the Kiriakis mansion and his hotel room as possible hiding places ... Meanwhile Zander has been bound to the column of a warehouse. He is gagged and unconscious ... Eric sends Kayla to see how fares Nicole. Serena walks in, so sorry for everything. She came to town for all the wrong reasons but falling for him all over again was so right. And she did warn Nicole that Zander was a danger. However, this is how things end for Eric and Serena ... Eric's final response to Serena ...! Chad apologizes and Zoe coos he was right about her desire ... John and Abe lament to Brady that the criminal covered his tracks. John has heard from the hospital and Eric and Nicole are now out of the woods. They should be able to shed more light ... Nicole believed she was dreaming. Dan emotionally praises her and she opens her eyes, saying his name ... Eric is relieved after Kayla reveals Nicole is awake and responding ... Nicole and Dan exchange an emotional I love you. She sighs it was always him. But once she is alone, images of Eric come flooding back. Nicole is confused ... Back in the garden, Zoe informs Chad it does not bother her that he is not over Abigail. He grabs her in a kiss to prove her wrong ... Abi and Ben have made love in his big bed. He agrees to let the independent woman pay half the rent as requested after she marvels how amazing he was. He gets out of bed for a beer. Ben downs his ale and assures himself this girl is his. The hot head son of Clyde has no idea she is really remembering waking up to Chad once upon a romantic morning ... Zander starts to stir. The gagged one groans at the figure walking ominously toward him ... Meanwhile Eric obsesses over Nicole, who obsesses over what may or may not have been a dream when they were near death... THE END Ahead on Days: Eric and Nicole are torn. Dan has no clue! Victor decides Zander must die! John and Marlena are stronger. Stefano corners Kate. |
