John Black is chilling with new son Paul at the hospital. They both love the new addition to the family - Tate. They also talk about Paul's job offer. John hopes he accepts cos he wants him to stick around. Paul smiles. He spies Brady and gingerly approaches with his peace offering. He apologizes for the way he acted when they first met. All is forgotten by Brady. He praises Paul his blood brother for his pitching career, how he came out which helped others. Paul still regrets not doing it sooner cos he was not brave enough. Brady insists his new brother is brave. Paul has a gift bag he gives Brady for Tate. Brady tells him he is a good uncle and welcomes him to the family. They agree to get a beer soon and talk. John, having returned from his admiration of his grandson, gets a tear in his eye when he sees how well they get along. He proudly pats Paul on the back after Brady gets going ... In the DiMera rose garden, Chad acts like an awful cad, to keep Abi at bay and protect her from Stefano. He sneers she must have another excuse to see him cos she wants more. Abigail claims that is not the case ... Dan has hit a dead end. He unwittingly texts Zander, since he is the one with Eric's phone. Zander texts back he is headed to the hotel but Dan knows better. Serena has followed him. Dan demands she explain what is going on cos that text he just got was NOT from Eric. Serena is in a state and hyperventilates ... Off the boiling boiler room, the half-nekid hostages are hot and sweaty. Nicole gasps she wants water. Eric gasps too. They are running out of time. He urges her to hang on and holds her close ... Ben enters the club and boasts to Sonny how happy he is that Abi has agreed to move in with him. Somewhat surprised, Sonny says "great." Ben recounts his first meeting with the girl of his dreams. He knew right away she was the one ... Sonny's mind wanders back to his first moments with Paul, how they both felt so right. It ends with a flashback kiss and Sonny blinks back to reality. Ben asks how it felt when he met Will. Sonny pauses and points out Will was with Gabi and they were friends. He smoothly changes the subject but Ben fails to notice ... Serena stammers Zander might have gotten to Eric and Nicole and he is more than just a little bit dangerous! Dan demands more, like a motive. She gasps Nicole got too close when she started digging ... Eric tenderly dabs away some of the sweat from fatigued Nicole. He then turns to their blocked escape and attacks with fury. It is no use. His hands are now hurt ... Ben and his happiness head out the door. He gets suspicious when the app indicates the fair Abigail is at the DiMera mansion. He frowns and heads in that direction ... Chad is rude and vulgar. Abigail angrily denies wanting him again ... Zander advises Navidad to keep her distance. He has a Chicago alibi as he has contacts. Zander gets going on his way, smug it will be set up to look like an accident when Eric and Nicole are finally found ... Dan leaves Victor a voice mail, thundering he thinks Zander is up to something with Eric and Nicole and if he does not help then HE will kill that bastard with his own hands ... Eric and Nicole are like romantic rag dolls. She gasps she gets it, this is the end. Eric is sorry he was unable to stop Zander. She begs him to hold her close so he is the one she sees in her last moments. She closes her tired eyes in his strong arms ... Ben slips past a DiMera security man and hides beside the rose garden. Chad and Abigail are arguing. Chad bellows she begged him to make love to her again and again the other night. Ben hears and is horrified ... But Abigail makes it a little better when she announces she loves only Ben, who is the better man. Chad wonders why she came to tell him. Because she is moving in with Ben. She alludes to Chad revealing anything ruining what she shares with Ben, who deserves better. Chad is sarcastic. She refers to EJ enlightening her on the importance of a DiMera man's word and urges Chad to give her his word. Chad does just that. He will keep their night together a secret ...Brady heads to the house of Kiriakis. Victor is nowhere to be found. He takes a call from Daniel, who is driving back to Salem, worried that Zander is holding Eric and Nicole against their will. Brady morphs into mighty soap hero mode, grabs his jacket, and is on his way to save the day ... Paul smiles at Sonny as he walks into the club and wants a word. They sit at a table and he gushes how great it will be getting to know his new family. He admits the real reason he has decided to stay in Salem is to be with the great family he has found and accept the great job offer. Sonny is positive about Paul's possibilities in Salem ... Dan, Brady and Serena meet up at Nicole's office. Dan decides the boiler room should be searched since it is strangely hot. Brady calls the cops. The Mod Squad go down to the basement and split up ... Nicole and Eric are slowly and silently slipping away ... John and Abraham are having a chat about family when they both get the call about Nicole and Eric. They sprint out of the pub, ready for action ... Dan finds the panel first. He tries to push and pull what blocks the escape route. Brady and Serena follow and help ... Paul points out he has even more to say to Sonny. He still believes in his heart that they belong together. Sonny states he is married. Paul replies of course if he works things out with Will, he will accept it. If not, he is here. Before he goes, he gives Sonny something else to think about. Something intense Paul's candid confession ...! Chad is alone again and explodes into the night. He rages he hopes father is happy but the show is over and so are he and the fair Abigail. Ben slips into the night unseen and gets home first ...Sad Chad gets a call from Zoe and invites her over, trying to forget the one he felt he had to push away ... Ben is ready to blow at his apartment. Abigail enters and senses something is not right ...John and Abe arrive at Nicole's office. They notice the heat ... Zander is certain he has gotten away with murder. He pauses in the dark park, only to be shot in the back by an unseen assassin. He slumps to the ground in a split second, now not moving ... Dr. Dan gets into the hot space and sees Eric. Brady assures him his brother is alive. Dan is already at Nicole's side. Serena wonders whether she is ... Dan exclaims she has NO PULSE. The pressure is on! THE END Ahead on Days: Eric and Nicole are driven to the hospital. Serena gets interrogated. Ben wants Abigail to admit her affair. Chad tries to forget with a new female. |
