Eric appears behind her and wonders whether he can help, altruistic holy man that he is. Kristen freezes and hastily puts her dark sunglasses back on. The clerk notes the lady is fine, just high strung. Eric wonders what her name is. If she opens up to him she will feel better, he thinks. She whispers she is fine, her back to him. Eric suddenly asks if he knows her. He adds her voice is familiar. She says to leave her alone in an exaggerated French accent and waltzes off. Eric informs the clerk he needs to call his sister in Salem but had cell phone issues. The clerk graciously takes him to the back, where there is a phone he can use. Kristen is still lurking in the lobby. When a new clerk shows up, so does Kristen. She easily bribes the girl to give her the room she wants! - Kate has summoned employee Nick to the pub. It concerns his anti-ageing cream formula. The boss lady glares at him and removes her glasses. She finds it utterly astonishing that the so-called genius was so idiotic! Nick is puzzled. When he learns his formula was stolen, he insists he had security safeguards in place. She explains Sami and EJ managed to get it anyway and are launching a line like theirs, 2 months sooner. It is a disaster! Nick stammers he is not sure what to say. Kate muses at least something good came out of this. She presents him with 2 weeks severance. "You're fired!" Nick quips she cannot fire him, given he has an iron clad contract. She snaps there was confirmation from IT that their security was not breached so he and he alone is responsible for the formula ending up at the competition. He argues what about Gabi? Kate purrs she will ensure Gabi and baby are well taken of and concludes they will be better off without him. Nick calls her a spiteful bitch. He knows this is really about what he did to Will. Kate leers she is indeed a spiteful bitch and he should remember that the next time he tries to screw with her family! Exit triumphant Kate. Nick stares. - Maggie is holding happy Parker at Dan’s apartment, as she will have him for the night. The medicine man has to work tonight. Maggie asks about the fair Jen. He would rather not discuss. The redhead is sorry to hear things are not good between them and deduces it is due to the arrival of her teen son. Dan sits and shares his story, his view of the teen. JJ refuses to accept him in his life and mama Jen is in denial. He mutters things have been happening and there is a connection that cannot be denied. Maggie realizes he is alluding to the attack on his car. He grumbles there is more. Maggie thinks he could be right for that day she did see JJ in the hospital parking lot. Dan sighs. Jen continues to defend him. Maggie smiles that is because the vulnerable boy is her baby. He only lost his father a year ago. Dan feels for them all but is not sure how long he can look away. Maggie advises him to get to the truth and deal with it with Jen. As soon as possible! - JJ laughs the painkillers are a good score. Keys are heard at the front door. The stoner boys scramble to hide the stash in Rory’s backpack as Jen returns. She senses their nervousness and wonders what she missed. There is a close call with a box left on the floor. Jen does not notice. JJ claims they were playing a video game instead of studying. Jen asks Rory to wait outside. She now wants to know why JJ never introduced them before. He stammers he is just a casual buddy from school. Jen demands the truth. The video controllers are not even out so what is he hiding from her! JJ lies he did not want to upset her with their conversation. It was about Abigail. When he ran into her earlier at Cam’s office, she was freaked out. Jen recalls her daughter did leave her a nervous message, followed by one claiming she was okay. JJ assumes Cam helped her solve the problem, whatever it was. Jen appreciates his brotherly concern. JJ pouts and adds the three of them need no one else. Jen appears disappointed. He assures her he went to apologize to Dan. She knows. He is curious how things are between them. They are working on it. He hopes she will get in touch with Abigail, to check on her and asks her to let him know how his sister is too. Jen suggests he text his sister himself. She must go somewhere. He wonders with who. She has a friend to check up on, someone she has neglected who needs her. - Lovers Brady and Nicole stir in bed. His return of her gold bracelet led them to this hotel room. He suddenly imagines Nicole morphs into Kristen and wakes up with a start. He sighs in relief when he spies Nicole in his bed, not the loon who loved him. Nicole wonders what is the matter. Shirtless Brady calls it a bad dream. Nicole is curious, He gasps he does not recall. She is hungry and wants room service. She glances at the menu in their nice hotel room. Brady blurts out he thinks they should leave Salem and gives her a hopeful look. Nicole is stunned. Brady elaborates. He means for a few days, to get away from Salem and his dad for a little while. She suspects he wants to avoid Kristen. He denies it. Where to then? Anywhere her heart desires. He is ready to order the Titan jet fueled until she stops him, reminding him he had promised Eric he would be there for Sami while he is away. Brady is persistent. He hopes she is not worried about Eric. She quips he is just fine on his own. She is IN! They now decide they are officially friends with benefits. No pressure. Now, about the trip. She talks islands, then Monaco. They can both parler le francais! Nicole is excited about shopping. Will she need island wear or casino beach wear? Brady grins both. She teases he can choose the destination, provided there is a beach with umbrella drinks. He agrees and smiles as she gets out of bed, desperate to be happy, to forget. - Eric has finished his phone call home and reminds the clerk he has a meeting in the capital. Therefore, he would like to have a peaceful night. The clerk promises it will be a peaceful night! Meanwhile Kristen sneaks into his holy room via the adjoining door and takes out her blue vial. Poor Eric. She is hell bent on make him pay for the sins of his mother ... - Nick is now sitting alone at the pub. He opens his severance check and scoffs, shaking his head.
