Aiden gets anxious about Clyde keeping tabs on his schedule. Clyde smoothly states his secretary said he had to pick up his son and adds he knows where the worry is coming from. Aiden eyes him with apprehension ... Arianna is having a wonderful time at her birthday party. The pink two-year-old loves the attention. Marlena and Will admire her while waiting for Adrienne and Justin to arrive. Lucas is believed to be out of town ... Adrienne arrives outside and gushes when Lucas also appears, having returned from his business trip early just to be here. Adrienne goes in ahead of him ... Just as Adrienne enters. Kate loudly lets it slip that Lucas and Adrienne are having an affair before Sonny can stop her. The guests all gasp. Lucas follows and tells off Kate for trying to destroy him again ... At the town gate, Chad snaps so Ben saw him with Abigail. He has nothing to hide! Ben doubts it ... Suited Justin is on the go at the Salem park when he spies fit Paul taking a jog. They converse and Justin wonders whether he could help him out with some contracts concerning business in Osaka. Paul offers to help him now so they head back to the Kiriakis house. Paul helps correct the Japanese translation mistakes, then looks around the grand place where Will and Sonny were wed. He wishes it had been him and Sonny. Justin gives him a pep talk about a beautiful wedding not being as important as a marriage ... Lovable Lucas announces to all he is crazy for Adrienne and yes they are involved. The guests get back to the party. Will holds the pink birthday girl as she blows out the two colorful candles. Sonny stands by them with a smile. Marlena lets Adrienne know how well Lucas handled it and smiles. Lucas confronts Kate for trying to ruin his life again ... Will proposes a toast to Arianna and adds how grateful he is Sonny got well after his attack last winter. Hope does the math in her head and confers with Rafe about the crime. He admits he was asked by Victor to drop his Clyde digging after Sonny was stabbed. Hope is convinced Clyde was responsible. Rafe gets worried and wants her to drop it.But Hope is not one to back down when she is in detective mode ...At the square, Clyde slyly states he thinks Hope made Aiden anxious about the safety of the kids as her daughter was kidnapped a few years back. Kate told him all about it ... Kate complains to Will about the truth getting her in trouble. He can completely relate and adds he sent her a link of Clyde's article but don't show anyone cos he could get fired for sharing before it gets published. Naturally when Kate later meets Clyde at the pub, she tells him to get his tablet out to read said article ... Abigail has her affair with Chad on her mind even more and decides to go to Ben .... Ben boasts he knows there is nothing between Abigail and Chad cos she explained they were talking about his sister when he saw them speaking. He is sorry for his loss. Chad gets sarcastic. Abigail appears ... Back at the party, Rafe checks with Will and Sonny about seeing Gabi with Arianna tomorrow. Will tells him he wanted to take her there with Sonny today. Rafe is fine so long as he gets his tomorrow. Once he leaves, Sonny lectures Will for changing their birthday meetup with Gabi and Ari to today. Will innocently tells him because today is the actual birthday ... Lucas gives Adrienne a very public kiss and they agree to do damage control ... As Abigail stands at Ben's side, Chad sarcastically states her boyfriend thought there was something between them. Ben denies it and repeats he is sorry about his sister. Abigail believes Ben and they walk off together like a solid couple, though she is not smiling. Chad feels empty inside ... Rafe drops by the kids' ball practice with a peewee umpire mask he promised Ciara. He slyly asks Aiden to hand it to her and then adds to be careful with Clyde the criminal. Aiden overreacts and assumes he is speaking for Hope as well. He storms away and Hope emerges, having overheard ... Clyde cackles this article will give Stefano no ammo on him. Kate thinks he is nothing like evil Stefano. Clyde questions her about Hope once he hears she was at the birthday party ... In the DiMera study, Lucas shows boss Chad the numbers and notes he will manage to get back their business from mommy dearest by the next quarter. He now admits on a personal level he is involved with Adrienne Kiriakis but no worries, there is no conflict of interest. Chad accepts that but becomes strangely silent when Lucas asks him to look at a pretty picture of Arianna with Abigail on his phone. The theme of the day seems to be staying true to one's heart ... Ben walks Abigail home to Horton house and wants a kiss. He uses the L word but not Abigail. She hesitates and stammers up an excuse about needing to stay home for stressed JJ. Ben appears to accept the excuse until he gets outside. Then he grimaces ... Abigail cannot forget how it felt to make love to Chad all night long ... Kate lets it slip to Clyde that Hope was curious when Will went to Poplar Bluff before she goes. Clyde's eyes darken dangerously ... Will is holding Ari in his arms as he and Sonny walk through the square. He asks Sonny to go back for Gabi's gift. Once alone with his daughter, he catches sight of Paul, who greets the birthday girl. Will sarcastically tells her this is the man who wants to break up their happy home. Paul denies that is his intention. Will scoffs. The birthday girl appears bewildered ... Adrienne arrives home to update Justin on what Kate did. Justin takes it all in stride and this is his reply ...What Justin said ... Will warns Paul they need no drama or distractions on their way to her mother. Paul pauses. Sonny returns ...Clyde makes a dangerous call to find out what Detective Hope is doing and he wants the results by the end of the day ... Paul glumly goes. Sonny says nothing and walks with Will and Ari ...Rafe apologizes to Hope, who assures him she can handle it. But Rafe remains worried. Once alone, Hope makes a call. She needs to see someone ... Ben joins Clyde at the pub, ready to explode. His dangerous daddy wonders what is the matter ... Chad returns to the DiMera study, somewhat startled. "FATHER!" That means Stefano ... THE END!
