Ian praises Kate for the genius new campaign as they work late at the office. A courier enters with an envelope. Kate signs for it, sighs, and opens it. Tis her divorce papers. Ian wants to have a look. He suggests she also have a look at what else it contains. Something bad! Stefano is going for the jugular. Hers! Kate angrily states this cannot be right. Ian explains that due to a non-compete clause Stefano is now enforcing, she will no longer be able to work for the competition, including Mad World. Kate slams the paper down and calls him a son of a bitch. She agrees he will not get away with this. Ian wonders what she shall do. She shall fight Stefano's fire with DYNAMITE! Ian feels they should plan their next move together. Kate, however, claims she wants to take a walk in the rain to clear her head. He promises to be at the office when she returns. Kate is ready to explode. Marlena is racing through the town square with the gun in her bag. Sami stops her. It is about Will. Marlena drops her bag, then picks it up and, proceeds on her way, explaining she is busy. Sami had assumed Will was more important to her. Marlena now gets testy. There is nothing more important to her than family and she should not ever dare to suggest otherwise! Sami backs off. At the coffee house, Lucas pulls Will aside and demands answers. What is he doing with a gun! Will stammers it is not really how it appears. He pretends it belongs to EJ but Lucas knows he no longer works for him. Will insists he was going to give it back to him and suggests he ask EJ. Lucas offers to give it back to EJ himself. Will talks paperwork but Lucas wants to have the gun. Will gets miffed he does not seem to trust him, snaps he can keep the gun, and takes off in the storm. John has a gun in his hand and as he stares at pictures of his loved ones on the mantelpiece. Bo has just finished his visit with his unseen mother and checks his gun at the pub. He has an incoming call from Roman, which he ignores. Hope sits alone at home and starts to reach for the gun before her. She pauses and picks up a drawing made by her little daughter of their happy family, then grabs the gun, a strange look in her eye. At DiMera mansion, EJ has just pulled a gun on Stefano, who shakes his head. "Elvis, if you hate me that much, do it!" EJ warns he will. The phoenix tells him to do it or get the hell out forever. EJ frowns. He is going to kill him. Stefano does not seem to think he has it in him, then advises him again to just do it. EJ wonders if he is not afraid. No. His only fear is about what is happening to his daughter. EJ growls it is his fault she will die. Stefano sighs that and that alone is what is killing him by breaking his heart. He bids him goodnight and turns around, finishing his drink. EJ steels himself and breathes heavily. It would be fitting to shoot him in the back as he already stabbed him in the back. Stefano does not care. EJ suddenly shoots the vase beside him twice. Stefano muses he must feel better. EJ storms out. Abe now emerges from the shadows and raises his own gun. There is a first time for everything! Stefano notes Elvis lost his nerve and now here he is to kill him. Abe rages at him for the imminent death of his wife and aims the gun when he tries to walk away. He must face what he has done! He demands the son of a bitch listen. Stefano stops and admits he will never forgive himself. Abe announces he has hurt those he loves for the last time, but he is no killer. He slowly puts the gun down next to the chess set. Stefano solemnly assumes he knows the way out. Abe mutters he was planning to kill him the way he killed his beloved Lexie. He, however, happens to have a conscience, and would not be able to rob his confused son of his grandfather or Lexie of her corrupt father. Stefano insists that he loves Alexandra. Abe interrupts him. "You have no idea what love is!" He walks out. Moments later, John appears. Stefano pours himself some brandy and wonders what this one wants. JUSTICE. Stefano chuckles he wants justice with a gun in his pocket? John remarks he cannot keep anything from him. The former pawn lets the former master know he is here to make him pay for trying to kill his wife, his friends, and him. Stefano denies the charge. He wonders how John will sleep at night with the knowledge that he tried to kill an unarmed man. John scoffs at this comment. Considering who it is, he will sleep like a baby. Stefano growls to stop wasting his time and just do it! Hope is sitting alone in the dark. She suddenly jumps up, puts on her hooded cloak, gets the gun, glances at her tormented reflection in the mirror, and goes out into the storm. John soon exits the mansion and puts away his gun. Stefano is still standing and watches him leave. Lucas is soon at the apartment, where he updates Sami on the gun he caught Will with. It is now at the pub in a safe. Sami is a wreck. She starts to call EJ, to check it really is his gun. No answer. Sami calls it a crazy day. Lucas agrees. There is something in the air ... Will stands alone in an alley in the pouring rain. Stefano opens his door to Hope. "You too!" She follows him in and yells she wants to talk and he is going to listen! When she and Bo were in the safe house, she was thinking about their little daughter at her prom, her wedding, holding her first born, and she saw pain in her child's eyes, as her parents were murdered by HIM. Stefano denies trying to murder anyone and points out they all survived. Hope continues. She has realized she and her family will never be safe as long as he is around. He assumes she is there to make good on her threat. She whips out her gun and aims it at him. He wonders what she will do when she gets caught and warns her daughter will be disappointed. There is nothing worse on earth than seeing the look of disappointment in a child's eyes. He should know. Hope thinks her daughter will be proud. Stefano pours himself another drink and warns her to think again. When he turns back around, Hope has left. He sarcastically raises his glass in a toast. "Salut!" John returns home and curses. EJ solemnly enters the pub and glances out the window at the storm. Abe returns home, out of breath, shocked by what he almost did. But Lexie is nowhere to be seen ...
