Ben dreams of being in bed with Abigail, whom he loves. She gushes she loves him as well but calls him Chad. Shirtless Ben wakes up with a start. Abigail has the coffee ready and wonders about his nightmare. He lies he forgot what it was about. Abigail now informs him that Theo requested he come to the picnic at the lake with her and him and ... Chad. Ben agrees, given it is for Theo. She gushes and he adds Clyde is coming by to pick up some signed papers. He will see her at the picnic. She smiles she should shower before swinging by Sonny's club for the picnic basket. Ben notices she has not eaten any breakfast ... At the square, Hope admires Rafe and Ciara discussing her umpiring. Rafe teases Hope that her determined daughter is a chip off the old block. Diva Kate comes by and questions why a cop who had been booted from the force would be so close to a current cop. Rafe and Hope get sarcastic. Ciara boasts they are picnic bound. Kate talks fifth wheel. Ciara wonders what that means. Hope gets a call from Aiden that Chase is under the weather so they cannot attend as promised. Ciara really hopes Rafe will come to help her umpire. Rafe cannot say no. Kate and her catty comments have gone ... Victor is surprised to find Stefano waiting for him at the house earlier than planned. The phoenix gets straight to the point. What the hell is going on with him and Clyde? He updates the glib Greek on what the hillbilly told him. Victor warns him the hillbilly does not play by their rules. Stefano scowls ... Clyde gets a coffee and informs Sonny his son says it is the best in Salem. Sonny smiles, but cannot conceal his surprise when Clyde claims Ben and Abigail could be getting hitched soon. Sonny notes but they just moved in together. Clyde snaps getting marred ain't just for Sonny's KIND. Sonny stares him down and wants clarification. What does he mean by HIS kind ... Paul has no shoes on when he opens his door to Will, assuming he was someone else. Someone he had been looking forward to seeing. Will gets straight to the point ... Chad cannot concentrate at DiMera mansion. He obsesses over Abigail, even more so when he sees a pink rose. He puts the rose in the trash but his feelings remain ... Paul tries unsuccessfully to convince Will NOT to come in. Will muses he has made no real home for himself here in Salem, just this hotel room, and announces he is here to "BEG" him to stay away from Sonny so they have a chance ... Chad summons editor Zoe to the mansion. He sent for her not to discuss work but to invite her to today's lake picnic ... Clyde calls Sonny touchy. Sonny gives him a very Kiriakis look. TOUCHY????! Clyde stammers he is of another generation and it is not easy getting used to the idea of gay marriage. Sonny gets sarcastic. Clyde starts to sweat and says he is sorry. Sonny hopes he enjoys the coffee and gets busy behind the counter. Clyde pauses at the door and remembers once upon a time when Victor warned him Sonny was family and off limits. Creepy Clyde now mutters next time maybe that knife will stab Sonny in the heart ... Paul sighs they have already had this discussion. Will is sorry for how he was with his mother and the blackmail, but now he is trying to be a better person, more direct like Sonny. He wants to change. Paul notes he (Paul) cannot change the way Sonny feels. Will begs to differ. It was Paul who made Sonny question whether Will was even ready for marriage. Paul explains he now understands, he did the same as Will. It was easier to cling to Sonny than deal with the drama of coming out. They both did it. Will thinks it is not same in his situation, for he and Sonny and Arianna are a family. Paul has put his running shoes on. Will lets Paul know he will not let him ruin his happy little family and opens the door. There stands Derek of hot bellboy fame. Will grins. Derek is holding a tennis ball for their game. Will departs with a spring in his step ... Clyde comes by for the signed papers from his boy Ben. Upon hearing Chad will be at the picnic as well, he suggests they do something one of these days to get rid of that DiMera PERMANENTLY. Ben is not sure what to make of it ... Seductive Zoe will take what she can get with Chad and agrees to the picnic. She had been hoping for something more intimate after their hot kiss. He suggests a bikini. She has dressed for a board meeting so Chad decides to buy her the bikini of his dreams ... At the club, Sonny hands Abigail the picnic basket packed with delicious food for the festive day. However, he warns her that Chad is still sweet on her despite what he says. Abigail dismisses the notion but blushes slightly ... Stylish Kate sweeps into her office, dismayed that Justin has made himself at home at her desk. He complains he needed more from her for his upcoming Chicago trip. She takes out her folder of facts and figures she put together and snaps to stick it where the sun doesn't shine. Justin is amused and apologizes. So does she. She agrees to keep his secret that he is getting a divorce from Adrienne until the sons know. Kate is doubly disappointed, since this means Lucas and Adrienne might last after all ... Paul and Derek tease each other about who is best at tennis and get going for their match. It could be the perfect match ... Stefano solemnly deduces Victor's hit on Clyde failed and the hillbilly went after Sonny, having him stabbed ... Chad leaves Zoe outside an expensive store at the square. She can buy her bikini and anything else her heart desires on his account. He will see her after he makes a call. As it turns out Shin is not in so the call he makes by the town gate is brief. Abigail, who spotted him at the square, approaches and is about to ask him about his feelings when femme fatale Zoe appears in her skimpy outfit. Chad approves and she is all over him. Abigail realizes they will be attending the picnic together and appears even more anxious. She makes herself scarce and stammers to herself about Sonny being mistaken ... Will surprises busy Sonny at the club with Arianna. Sonny is happy to see them. Will assures him he made their appointment with the next therapist as promised and suggests their family take some time out to play. He already talked to T to cover. Sonny smiles and goes out back to get changed into the clothes Will brought. But Will leads them not to the usual picnic spot by the lake, but another secluded space. Sonny wonders why here. He has no idea Will wants him to witness how Paul is moving on ... Elsewhere Hope and Rafe have a great time with Ciara the umpire-in-training. After the little girl goes to her friends, Hope lets Rafe know how sorry she is he misses being a cop. He admits he assumed the job with Victor would be different but things have changed ...Victor notes Clyde has safeguards in place, in case of an attack. That threat of retaliation must be removed and then... In full view of Will and Sonny, Paul and Derek emerge from the water, laughing about Paul pushing him in. They dry off and Sonny bites his lip. Will is smug ... Clyde visits Kate at her office ... Ben has arrived at the lake. He wonders where oh where Abigail could be ... Stefano wants to know the plan. Victor tells it like it is ... Clyde's Fate! Chad flirts up a storm with Zoe. Zoe has something to say. Abigail doubles back for the sunglasses she dropped. And so Abigail accidentally overhears Zoe teasing Chad about inviting her just to make Abi jealous. Oooooooo... THE END! Ahead on Days: Paul and Will argue.
