Episode 12,120 - At apartment 14, Abigail gushes at sweet angel Ari, who is fast asleep. Gabi only slept four hours but will catch up during the day. She teasingly wonders whether her bff got any sleep last night. Abigail marvels she had a great time with Chad. When Gabi mentions seeing Cam, she gasps in horror. She hopes she did not let it slip that she was with Chad! Negative. Abigail breathes a sigh of relief. She goes on to say that Chad has been a very no pressure kinda guy, whereas Cam is less patient. Gabi thinks he might like her more. Abigail is confused. Gabi suggests she join her and Will and Sonny and Ari at the lake. It will be fun and if she keeps her and Ari company, it will give Sonny and Will a chance to have some quality time together. She too could use a diversion for she has been too busy remembering what almost was. Abigail is sorry, she had forgotten about her Nick situation. She is sympathetic when Gabi confirms the marriage is over. They are getting an annulment. Abigail asks if she still loves him. Gabi sadly confesses she knows not. However, sometimes she misses him. She too is confused by what is in her heart. Her eyes cloud over with sadness. Meanwhile shirtless Cam and Chad are at the lake playing ball with little Theo. Clueless T arrives and mentions Abigail. - At the coffee house, Sonny is excited about the picnic at the lake. He hopes the fireworks will not spook Ari. Will remarks they can leave if they do. He stares into space and remembers overhearing worldly Brent inviting Sonny to the rave. Sonny notices he looks rather intense. Will now suggests perhaps Sonny should not join them today! Sonny’s face falls. He does not understand. Will thinks he might rather do something fun. Sonny teases it is not torture going to a lake picnic with him and Arianna and the family. He explains to Will there is no place he would rather be and kisses him. - Shirtless JJ is on his bed, feeling sorry for himself, remembering his clash with his mom. Downstairs Jen is ready for July 4 in her striped summer dress, She picks up a jacket and sighs, remembering happier times with Dan and Parker. Once upon a time she used to have everything she wanted. Adrienne arrives wearing pink and red and a cheerful grin, pumped about the picnic. Jen laments she and JJ will not be attending the picnic this year. What is the matter? She whispers everything! She feels it would be best not to let her defiant son go out. Adrienne now confides that things have been strained with Sonny but she has been trying. She presses Jen to come with her family, as being together with good food and the beach is what they could all use. She hugs her reassuringly. JJ appears downstairs, now fully dressed. Adrienne greets him. Jen informs him of Adrienne’s suggestion. Either he can attend the picnic with her and Abigail or stay here. He decides the picnic sounds cool and goes upstairs to get his stuff. Jen is pleased, believing he wants to spend time with her and his sister. Adrienne thinks the outing is just what the doc ordered and now asks after Dan. Jen explains he is not coming with her as they have issues. She needs to fix things with her son. - Gabi is looking forward to the picnic. Sonny and Will enter, all smiles. Abigail hopes they have room for one more! Meanwhile at the lake, T informs the guys he reserved the court but they need one more person. Is Abigail coming? Cam stares. Chad drinks his water. Nearby Adrienne, Justin, Gabi, Abigail, Will and Sonny soon arrive and proceed to set up. The baby is admired. Adrienne marvels to Justin how cute Sonny was as a little one too. Justin agrees the time passes fast. They set down their yellow blanket. Gabi and Abigail lay down their blue blanket. Sonny fusses over the baby in the bassinet and Gabi joins him. Abigail quietly tells Will she heard the good news about his non indictment. He is most grateful she agreed to keep the video a secret and steps away to help get the fire started. Meanwhile, Sonny makes sure Arianna does not get the hot sunlight on her cherub face and admires her smile. Gabi gushes she loves him and how could she not! Sonny confesses he is hooked on her. Gabi had noticed and calls what they have special. Jen and JJ join the gang and as Jen goes to see the baby, her teen son removes his shirt and sits down. Abigail stands by him and he drawls she is blocking his sun. Abigail grumbles he is lucky cos he was supposed to be grounded! Nearby, T gives excited Theo the nickname stretch. He wants Cam and Chad to commit to their team. He steps away and Theo asks to play pickle in the middle. Cam, Chad, and the lad gather round. Gabi is holding Arianna as Jen and JJ watch. Gabi hands the bundle of joy to JJ, who grins she is cute. Jen is pleased and gets back to Adrienne. She was right cos this is just what her family needed! JJ, she notes, has not smiled like that in a while. Adrienne believes deep down he is a good boy. Jen now gets an unexpected call from work. She must depart to deal with rumors of a hospital coverup that led to Sami’s non indictment. She advises JJ to stick close to the family while she is gone. Exit Jen. JJ smirks. He later realizes Adrienne has dozed off and gingerly takes his bag. She stirs and tells him he reminded her of Jack with the baby. It used to be only Jack who could comfort baby JJ with his funny faces, voices. JJ looks down. Adrienne assures him his father loved him. She imagines he misses him a great deal. He sniffles he does and so must she. She does and it breaks her heart, especially for him. A boy needs his father. She goes on to say papa Jack would have wanted him to live a good and happy life, as well as his sister and mother. He would not have wanted Jen to be alone. JJ wipes away his tears and excuses himself to get his clothes back on, as he just went for a swim. Abigail notices when he walks away. T is now holding little Ari, who grabs his finger. Will and Sonny sit together and enjoy the scene. Gabi is happy. Brent shows up and the introductions are made. Brent muses Will’s life must feel ... different with a baby He uses the M word. Mature! He adds it would be too much responsibility for him. Will smiles at his pink and white daughter. Sonny praises Will as a great dad and puts his arm around him, boasting that he and Ari are lucky to have him. T talks volleyball. They are up for it! T also wants to win the hotdog eating contest. Gabi takes Ari and ushers the guys off to have fun. Sonny promises they will watch the baby later so then Gabi can have fun. When Brent steps away, she calls him cute. Sonny lets her know he plays for the other team. T teases that never stopped her before, gives Will a mini slap and runs off. Will laughs and goes after him. Abigail and her wild mane go searching for JJ. Instead, Theo finds her and she soon realizes she is standing between shirtless Cam and Chad. So many shirtless hunks, so little time! Theo asks if she will be on Chad or Cam’s team to play. She suggests Theo’s team and walks away with him. The two hopeful suitors sigh and follow. JJ appears once they are gone and makes a call to his seedy buddy. It is his independence day and he is a free man! - PR Jen gets to the hospital and works the phone, defending Sami not being indicted. Along comes her nemesis Anne, the sarcastic HR bitch, who hisses she must talk to her about something that happens to be personal! - JJ leaves the picnic looking for trouble.
