Jump Street JJ is on the job from Horton house. He calls Kyle, that he has something from his brother. Kyle claims to be busy tonight. JJ updates Agent Watts, who feels it is probably best nothing happen before JJ begins his training tomorrow. He departs and Jen enters. She would like to know what was going on. JJ updates her and she shares her fears about his risks. JJ, however, cannot let this go. He claims he will be careful and is sorry for the stress he is causing his mother. They hug and he heads out with the cash for Kyle ... Sonny is surprised to see Derek at the club. Derek assumes they were meeting up here. Sonny smiles it was the new club, the Edge, and suggests they go together. Derek hopes he looks alright. Sonny wonders why so worried. Derek wonders whether this is just 4 guys hanging out or a double date ...At the dark park, Will prevents Ben from calling Abigail now. He pretends she said something about working late. Ben has no cause to question that ... Abigail is curt with Chad at the Wilson apartment. She is only hearing him out as a favor to Will. Chad emotionally explains how Marlena gave him advice - to tell the girl he loves how he feels. He assures her he did not mention her by name. The young DiMera dramatically declares I AM IN LOVE WITH YOU, ABIGAIL DEVEREAUX ... Nicole assumes the worst from Dan's silence and starts to leave. He grabs her arm to stop her and refuses to let her walk away ... Kyle is getting to know pretty Paige at their town square table. He smoothly suggests a bar but she does not do dives. He suggests the Edge. Paige spies Eve and the smile fades from her face. She points and sighs to perplexed Kyle that is her estranged mother. Kyle perceives she is stressed and steps up to get rid of her ... Abigail cries no one ever treated her as badly as Chad. He sighs he is sorry ... Sonny states the status of Derek and Paul is not his business but Derek senses Paul still has lingering feelings for Sonny. However, for now he would be okay being just pals with Paul ... Ben gets an unexpected call from Rafe. His bartender for tonight crashed his car and is running late. Ben agrees to cover for him. Will grins that is where he et al are headed ... Exasperated Abigail exclaims EJ and Sami were vindictive and cruel but Chad was the same when he spoke his cruel words to her that day in the garden, How he degraded and humiliated her! He points out that was after he heard her on her phone telling Ben she loved him. She screams he was jealous and kicks him out. However, Chad is not going anywhere ... Nicole insists she was in denial about the importance of telling Dan what almost happened between her and Eric but regrets it. Dan decides that is all he needs to know and wants her to still be his forever girl. They cry and kiss in each others' arms ... Bartending Ben tries to text Abigail about her whereabouts, then apologizes to the boss. Rafe really appreciates that he came ...Will arrives at the Edge with a hearty greeting for Paul, who is pleased about tonight ...Sonny and Derek arrive and the gang get a table together. Will spies his copy editor and sighs he will have to speak with her. Sonny will get the drinks. Paul offers to help and they step away all smiles. Will gives Derek a knowing look ... Kyle stands up and strides over to Eve, who is caught off guard when he introduces himself as a friend of Paige. He politely points out Paige needs time until she is ready to talk to her though he sincerely feels mother and daughter will eventually find their way back together. Eve is pleased Paige has such a polite young man, who introduces himself as Kyle, and heads to the club for a coffee ... Abigail gasps if Chad is not leaving then she is but he shuts the door she has started to open and gazes down at her. He intends to finish telling her about his feelings ... Dan and Nicole make love on the couch and cuddle in the afterglow until they remember Parker is on his way home. Then they hop up and get dressed in a hurry ... The double date gang are getting along, having a lot of laughs. Uncle Rafe approaches to let Will know he has something for Arianna. He is cordial when introduced to Derek. Derek praises Will and Sonny for their commitment, their happy little family, and admits he is not ready yet for such a commitment. Will asks Paul how things are going as spokesperson for Mad World. Paul points out Kate agreed Will's idea - Norita by Mad World - was better than hers. They chuckle and Paul tells new pal Will to be sure to get royalties for his idea. He adds he would be honored if Derek purchased the product with his name attached ... Abigail cries to finish it! Chad gets choked up about how amazing everything was for him that night. She accuses him of not telling her the whole truth. He admits Stefano came back and changed everything but does not elaborate ...Rafe is on a call with Tim, impatient that there is nothing new in FBI files on Clyde ... Ben excuses himself as the regular bartender has arrived. Rafe thanks him, then gets back to his phone call. He wishes Tim could get something on that prisoner who was killed in the slammer. No luck there either. Rafe realizes he needs a new idea ... When the gang ask Derek about his family, he tells the unhappy tale of how a year ago, his parents turned their backs on him for coming out. They are sorry. Paul puts his hand on his and tells him he does have a family now. Sonny seems stressed ... Two male patrons are watching in the distance ... Eve has her beverage at the club when Jen comes in. Eve boasts that Paige has a nice polite new suitor called Kyle. Jen hisses she probably knows nothing about him, only that he is not JJ. She accuses Eve of not putting her child before herself and departs. Eve grumbles she is going to find a way to get her. She always does ... Kyle tries to convince Paige to come to the new club with him and holds her hand. Jump Street JJ arrives at the square and soap stares ... Chad laments after the loss of EJ and Kristen he tried not to get drawn into the dangerous DiMera legacy but he knew deep down that Ben was a better man, a safer bet, and drove her away on purpose, to protect her. Abigail cries he broke her heart. Chad cries too ... Dan has big plans for Parker, himself, and Nicole in the morning but first must get his little man to bed. He feels like the luckiest dad in the whole world. Nicole just loves her new-found family ... JJ watches from the shadows as Paige smiles she should head back to the dorm. Kyle gallantly offers to walk her home. She smiles sweetly she would rather walk alone, gives him a peck on the cheek and leaves happy Kyle. JJ grabs a newspaper and wraps in the envelope with the cash from the stash. He then pretends to happen by and run into him. Kyle wonders whether he saw him with his ex. JJ scoffs the high maintenance girl is not his problem and gives him the newspaper, alluding to what is in it. Kyle accepts it, adds there could be more tomorrow, and slinks off into the night ... Ben stands by the town gate and attempts to reach Abigail on his phone again. No luck. Ben is getting fed up. He finds out her whereabouts from his tracking app and takes off ... Abigail asks Chad what has changed since he purposely pushed her away ... Chad's heartfelt confession! Back at the blue club, Sonny sighs Will has so many coworkers in one place. Derek departs to find him. That leaves Sonny at the table with Paul. Paul grins Derek sure is a great guy. Sonny wants to know whether they are friends or what ... Will and Derek talk in the hall. Will thinks Derek did well and tonight could be his lucky night. Derek thanks him for the story about his parents. It had the desired effect ... The two guys who were gawking approach the table and call superstar Paul and his pals names. Sonny looks ready to explode ... Chad is standing again. He refers to Ben as a good guy. However, he believes what he and Abigail have is deeper. It is time to end the denial. He caresses her face and she looks up at him with doe eyes. They stare mesmerized and he gets closer to kiss her ... But Ben is lurking outside the window, wondering what Abigail is doing here ... THE END! Ahead on Days: An awful fight! |
