At the Kiriakis mansion, Brady moans about all the unqualified nanny candidates. Theresa insists on using her long list of questions. Brady the busy billionaire heir has work waiting. Theresa coos the next candidate comes later and smugly steps out to the hospital, she says. Maggie enters and suspects the girl is deliberately slowing down the process to spend more time with Brady. She thinks he should do something he CAN do. Once alone, Brady gets on the phone ... Aiden has summoned bearded Ben to his office. The attorney announces the assistant states attorney is asking questions. Ben assures him the only thing he did was refer high rollers to the casino. Aiden notes he also used an alias. Ben reminds him he had said he did not want his father to find him. Aiden lets him go, makes light of it, but looks intense after he exits ... Will is somewhat surprised that Ari's honorary Uncle Chad is not there to speak with Sonny but to speak with him. Chad is happy to hold Arianna and admits to missing his late daughter Grace, whom he never had the chance to know. Will remembers. After Chad admires the girl in pink, Will puts her to bed. He comes back and Chad gets straight to the point. He is not one to beat around the bush. The DiMera declares he did hurt Abigail to keep her at bay but has decided to go after the girl he loves. Even Marlena advised him to do it, though he did not admit that girl was Abigail Devereaux. Will wonders what he can do. Chad begs him to set up some face time with the female who always had his heart. Will agrees but these are his terms. Chad must wait to hear from him whether or not Abigail is willing to see him. That is his final offer ... Clyde is on the phone with his flunky. He reminds him to do as ordered with the lab technician tonight ... Kayla bears news for working girl Abigail, who is in her office. She is now eight weeks along so the paternity test can be taken! Abi gets glum. Kayla gets she is under duress due to the fact that her baby could be a DiMera. Kayla assures her her family will love any baby that is hers. Would she be happier if Ben were the father? Abigail remains glum and does not answer. When Kayla expresses her concern that she might abort, Abi insists she is having this baby no matter who the daddy is ... At his apartment, Eric has a heartfelt moment with Nicole. He will always love her but the Lord gave him his answer, which was to let her live the life she wants. Therefore, no one needs to know what almost happened between them. He promises Serena will not pose a problem for she has no proof of anything. Nicole is grateful and he gives her a kiss on the cheek at the door. Caroline stands there and is surprised. Eric explains he was congratulating her on her engagement to Dan ... Dan has opened his door to Serena. He is hostile, having assumed she is here about Nicole again. She calmly claims this is about Eric so he reluctantly lets her in. Once inside, she starts to say she intends to do him a favor, then spies Nicole's jacket. Dan snaps she lives there and they are engaged. Serena slyly suggests she wait for her as well ... Kayla now informs Abigail how secretive her paternity test is going to be. She will use Chad's DNA from his file and make sure no names are on any samples, including hers. Abigail is extremely anxious. The will know by the morning ... Ben calls Clyde to update him on Aiden's questions. Clyde's eyes narrow and he praises his boy for sticking to his story ... Dan snaps at Serena for trying to trash Nicole when she tells him his fiancee was frisky with Eric and did not own up to that fact. She presses play and he hears Eric's emotional confession about loving Nicole, who loved him, how they started to make love that fateful night they almost died. Dan's eyes darken ... At the park Madame Milbauer wants Theresa the terrible to meet the perfect nanny. Megan is as crass as they come but willing to do as told, to promote Theresa at the mansion as marriage material for the billionaire heir she loves. Never mind that the nanny litters and chomps gum ... Clyde pays attorney Aiden an unexpected visit at his office, asking the name of who was questioning him about Ben. Aiden evades the question and claims confidentiality prevents him from discussing his son's case with the father. Clyde acts cordial, but grimaces outside the door. He smells a rat ... Kayla tries to put Abigail's worries to rest by telling her how trustworthy the lab head, Martin Hines, is ... Until the morning then! ... Will makes Chad wait elsewhere while he pleads his case to Abigail, to convince her to converse with him. Abigail gets the text from Will to come over so she does ...Chad decides to wait in the dark park ... Caroline sighs about her grandson's sad loveless state. She wants him to find love again. He grins he is happy with family and friends. He is feeling good about doing the right thing for the woman he loves though he keeps that to himself. The matriarch and her grandson share an embrace ... At the nurse's station Dr. Kayla greets lab head Martin and mentions the test he runs tonight while alone at the lab is going to be off the record. In the background Clyde's bearded flunky listens ... Abigail arrives at the apartment with a puzzle for Arianna. Will explains the sitter took her for tonight. She teases him about his plans with Sonny. Will wonders whether she has any news. Not yet but soon. He states he wanted to speak about Chad ... Clyde gets a phone update from his flunky, who has been ordered to tail the technician. He also calls another flunky that it is a go ... Dan thunders he heard enough and kicks Serena out. She smugly states at least she admits to her misdeeds, unlike Nicole the liar and cheater. Dan slams the door shut after her and fights back the tears ... Theresa takes Megan back to the mansion and tells her to wait outside a while. Then she sweetly enters, only to find Brady seated across from an engaging lady, whom he introduces as the perfect nanny! Theresa's face falls ... Aiden stares at his computer and tells the person at the other end of his phone he wants everything they can find on Clyde Weston. Someone has entered unannounced, however. Aiden looks up with a start ... Chad's phone rings in the dark park. He answers, asking Will whether he has the word from her yet. But it is not Will, it is Zoe, hoping for a date. Chad blows her off. He must keep his line open for an important call he is expecting. Chad now realizes Ben was standing within earshot. Big Ben glares at his enemy ... Abigail gets angrier with Will by the minute. First he lured her here for Chad, who was so hurtful, now he seems to be on his side. She refuses to give him another chance and starts to storm off but Will stops her with seven sincere words ... Will's 7 Words! Martin is on the move in the dark park. Clyde blocks his path. Martin peers and asks if they are acquainted. Clyde coos not yet but he hopes they soon will be ... At the square, Caroline has suggested Eric still find love. He smiles he is doing fine, then spies Serena standing there, focused on him. The smile fades fast from the former father's face ... Dan is at the apartment trying to choke back the tears. Maggie has called asking for a possible engagement party date. The medicine man woefully writes down a few. After the call, Nicole enters in all her glory, gushing about what a beautiful night it would be for a walk. Dan is decidedly distant. She gasps what is wrong? He gives her a sanctimonious stare ...
