- Jen wistfully touches the plaque of Tom and Alice Horton and sits down with a sigh. She misses them terribly! She asks the late Alice why things are so very wrong in her world. Daughter Abigail is at the square as well and perceives the upset on her mother’s face. Jen confesses she misses gran and grandpa. Abigail suspects she is really unhappy because she misses a certain medicine man! They sit on a bench and Abigail asks why the time apart from Dan. Jen explains her need to concentrate on her brother, who is not exactly mature. Abigail makes a snide remark about his shoplifting. Jen now confides that he believes Dan cannot stand him, though the opposite is true. She tries to be hopeful about the future. Abigail reminds her she has a life too. Jen decides to get back to the office. When Abigail mutters about her assistant Theresa, Jen wonders what she has done now! Abigail flashes back to her promise not to tell
Jen the girl was high, so she would not assume the same of JJ. She does not share, of course. Jen goes on to complain the vixen is not getting her work done and she even found her with JJ at the house once! Apparently she prefers older wealthy men anyway and had the gall to try and give
her advice on love! Abigail cannot believe it and hopes she will quit. So does Jen. The harassed Horton marches off to her job, but drops a card
in the process. Abigail picks it up and thinks better of giving it to her now. She could use an excuse to get to the hospital herself.
- Dan is preoccupied with writing Jen the perfect note. He misses her. Theresa returns to the office and introduces herself with a devious smile. Dan finishes writing his personal note and states he is Dr. Jonas to the new assistant. She poses on the desk as he answers a text from an intern. He wishes the girl luck with the new job. She offers to give her boss lady a message. He drawls the note is self-explanatory and exits. Theresa now gets a call and puts her feet up on Jen’s desk as she enjoys her chair. Tis Jade, her bff from L.A. She complains about stuffy Salem , the job, and her boss. However, things are looking up. She just met a cute doctor
and alludes to her past conquests, including married men. Pause. Theresa stares in horror when she realizes Kayla is standing in the doorway,
glaring at her in disapproval. She lectures the chit for misbehaving and having her feet on Jen’s desk. She advises her niece to concentrate on
her career, but then must get back to her chief of staff duties. Theresa admires the article about Dan and purrs she will concentrate on this!
- Gabi and Will are at the hospital with baby Ari. Subdued Will thanks Kayla for her concern about Sami, whose bail hearing is today. Kayla wonders whether the baby will meet Rafe now. Gabi confirms, smiling it is high time too! Back in Rafe’s room, the Salem patient is aghast that Sami actually killed a cop who was a good friend of his. Kate does not want him to be upset. Rafe exclaims he will get more upset unless she tells him what is happening! She sits and explains the doctor did not want him to suffer any more stress. Rafe gasps he knows Sami did not shoot him but why did she shoot his friend? He demands the truth ...! Gabi appears with baby Ari and smiling Will. Time for Ari to meet her uncle! Rafe's demeanor softens. He gazes and gushes she is gorgeous as Gabi proudly shows him the pink bundle. He notes she is as stunning as her name. He also greets Will, who grins. Will quietly asks Kate if things will be okay. Rafe does not seem quite himself yet. She insists he will be fine. Rafe teases Will and Nick must be competing to spoil the baby. They all stare. Rafe wants to know why the silence. Gabi calmly explains she and Nick are no longer together. The gang tell Rafe the story of Jensen the wacko and Nick. Rafe hopes Will is okay now. Will grins he is fine. He has a battle scar but is doing good. Rafe remains confused. Will informs him that Jensen mistook him for Nick, as he too was at the muffin place. Gabi blames herself. Rafe is just relieved the outcome was not worse. Once he learns that Gabi and baby are now living with Sonny and Will,
he lets out a chuckle.
- At the house of Kiriakis, Kristen has broken a glass. Brady hopes she
is alright. Eric wonders why she is even here. She forces a smile. Brady points out they are on a date, slowly but surely deciding if they might reconcile. Eric expresses his shock. Kristen apologizes for the broken glass. Brady assures her his holy brother understands. He quips he does not and starts to leave but the she devil begs him to please stay!
She regrets he had to find out this way. Eric now learns they had breakfast
together and spoke so far. He apologizes but he is having a tough time understanding. Kristen pretends to believe he means his recent problem and asks about the person he has investigating. Eric uncomfortably looks down. He would rather not talk about his illness. She presses regardless and notes it is a good thing he has Daniel on the case. Brady boasts the investigator is also a forensics expert. Eric tells him to stop already. Kristen discreetly decides to depart. At the door, she suggests she and Brady wait with their big announcement to the rest of his family. He agrees, given the negative reactions, kisses her, and closes the door. Outside, Kristen becomes a nervous wreck as she considers her next move. Inside, love struck Brady returns to Eric, who snaps his brother
has lost his mind!
- Kristen shows up at the rectory to leave her hefty check for the school. The nun at Eric’s computer is having problems with her database. Kristen offers to help and the unsuspecting sister steps out to put away the check. As Jesus’ picture watches silently, Kristen hacks into Eric’s email. She seeks the name of that investigator. She suddenly looks up with a gasp. Tis the nun, asking about the status of the list she was trying to do. Kristen snaps it is almost ready. The nun lets her get back to it. Once alone, Kristen manages to find the name and address of Mason the forensics expert and hastily scribbles it down. The devil with the blue dress on pauses to thank Jesus and takes off.
- Abigail heads to the hospital, where she wants a word with Dan. The
girl in white urges him not to give up on her unhappy mom. Dan breathes he still loves her and is at a loss. In his view, even Cupid could not fix this! Only Jen can. Abigail considers. Meanwhile, PR Jen returns to her office, surprised to find Theresa hard at work, her tasks completed. Jen’s mouth drops open. Theresa assures her she will make his work. Jen now reads Dan’s note. It only says FINE, with his initials and that surprises her. It does not sound like the Dan she knows ...Theresa offer to contact him if she wants and muses the surgeon must be rich. Abigail arrives and she gives her a smug greeting. Abigail now gives Jen her fallen library card. Jen is most grateful. It was supposed to be in her wallet. Theresa exits with a smile to get some files to HR. Abigail cannot help but notice the about-face. Jen concedes she is doing a good job now and knows the software. She assumes her attention to her job will keep her away from JJ. It makes her feel better. Meanwhile Theresa is pouring herself a coffee, listening to JJ’s message that he will have what she wants later today. She starts to leave an optimistic voice mail for the teen until Dan walks by. She eyes the passing surgeon and informs JJ not to call her
until he has it. Furthermore, she anticipates being busy from now on!
- Rafe admires the bonita pink baby. The medical staff want to check on him and so the gang must take their leave. Rafe seductively suggests Kate come back as soon as the doctor is done! She agrees. Outside the room, Kate confesses to Will and Gabi that it will be hard for Rafe to start all over like a baby. Gabi thinks he will manage. Still, it worries the diva that the tough guy will be feeling weak and helpless. Meanwhile, Dr. Dan
gives buddy a pep talk. Rafe wonders how long his rehab will take. Dan explains they will start with the therapist's evaluation. Rafe drawls he already learned about what happened. Dan assures him there are good things too. They will discuss later. Rafe is blunt. What is he not saying? Dan will only say his top priority as his doctor is to do his job. He advises him not to force anything and exits as Kate enters. The medicine man suggests they both take it easy. Rafe thanks Kate for being the only one who is leveling with him. He assures her he can handle the truth. She explains the doctors feel he must get that truth in small doses. Rafe now poses a key question, one that weighs heavy on his investigative mind. "Why did Sami shoot Joe Bernardi?" He is expecting a simple answer to his simple question. Kate blurts out it was to save HIS life!
- Brady sits down with Eric and starts to pour his heart out. Papa John confirmed that Kristen halted her plan cos she loves only him. She has changed! Eric has his doubts. Brady admits when they are together it is... "Moth to the flame," sighs Eric. He gathers she is charming and generous. However, there is no telling what that one is capable of! He warns his brother to proceed with caution. Brady agrees and then asks him not to interfere. This time his eyes are wide open. He will not be duped again. Exasperated Eric refuses to get into an argument and decides to leave. Brady requests his silence on seeing them together until he is sure about the reconciliation. Eric asks who exactly knows. So far just Jen and Nicole. They were not planning on keeping this a secret, but it seems
best for now. Eric does not approve of them getting back together but
will abide by his wishes. Sami's bail hearing is today. The last thing mama Marlena needs is more stress about that woman who has been out to get her for decades!
- Kristen is back at the mansion, obsessing over the expert who will be digging into what happened. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Time for a disguise but which one? Not the French raven haired creature again. Perhaps ... No! Maybe yes! She remembers a time when she faced Stefano with glasses and fake teeth and now blinks at her reflection in the mirror. She could not possibly pretend to be Susan again. Or could she!
- Back at apartment 14, Will admires the baby as Gabi tucks her in the bassinet. They discuss Rafe. Gabi knows it will be hard and wishes Kate would not worry. Will now brings up the fact that Gabi told Rafe she had decided things were okay with Nick. Gabi explains they did not work out and Nick was trying to be someone he was not. Now, thanks to Will and Sonny, she is happy again! She would take the happy with her baby over anything and it is wonderful living with two guys who love each other. Will gets it. But he wonders if she would want to go back and change anything. Gabi gushes she has no regrets and would not change a thing
for now they have Arianna.
- Abigail admits to her mother that she actually came to the hospital to speak with Daniel. Like others, she is exasperated that Jen is pushing him away and might lose him! If she is waiting for JJ to change, it could take forever ...
- Eric points out to Brady that they feel closer than blood brothers. He prays Kristen will never come between them.
- Back at the mansion, Kristen rummages through an old box and finds
the freaky false Susan teeth. Would it work again? She muses it might be her only option and proceeds to try them on ... (see pic above)
