- PR Jen hands Maxine an article which includes Dr. Dan on a top ten list in Style magazine. Jen is all business. She wants her to get Dan to sign
off on the press release and must now explain to the curious coworker
that they are taking a break. JJ stares from the doorway. Jen does the intros. Maxine teases he is more handsome than his picture, then turns back to Jen and quips Dan might want to bring the signed PR release to her in person! Exit Maxine the matchmaker. JJ hands Jen some papers
she left at home. She gathers he already knew about her and Daniel. He smiles he feels way better about the whole world and even his teacher noticed. He assures her she can count on him too. Jen appreciates it and falls for his act. Theresa rushes in late and out of breath and JJ casually greets her. He exits as the girl nervously flashes back to their sordid conversation. Jen is incensed. This is not working for either herself or Theresa! She has not been doing her duties as instructed and has yet to
fill out her HR forms. It would be ever so easy to let her go! Theresa
uses the excuse of what has been happening to her family due to Sami. She is overwhelmed. Jen scoffs. She has heard from her family that she
is nowhere to be seen. Theresa gets testy. Jen snaps her family wants to give her a fresh start but it might be too late!
- Dan is sorry about Sami as he meets with Eric at the rectory. The
reason for his visit is that it dawned on him, after much thought, that he should be approaching the matter of Eric’s tests another way. He believes he knows how to find out who poisoned him and how. He wants him to go somewhere with him. Nicole appears in a stylish zebra dress, surprised Eric has not taken the day off. She offers to leave. He replies it is not necessary. Dan becomes uncomfortable. Eric explains they were on their way out. Dan goes ahead. Nicole wants to know what that was about. The priest sighs it matters not. "We need to talk about us!" Nicole nervously assures him she was rather overprotective of him, but it is
not what he thinks! She babbles about EJ being wrong about her having feelings for him, and even Johnny was wrong. Eric finally gets in a word edgewise. He explains it makes him uncomfortable that she is causing conflict concerning his sister. Perhaps the time has come to make some changes. She fears he is firing her. He is not, and they will continue this conversation later. Nicole gasps unhappily as he walks out.
- Devil with the blues dress Kristen has a new blue dress on! She opens the DiMera door to daffodil bearing Brady, who talks new beginnings.
She thanks him for the beautiful flowers, the sweet sentiment. Brady
spies a packed bag. She explains EJ wanted some things for Sami. He laments the attorneys say there is nothing more they can do. Kristen muses she is relieved she is not Justin. Love struck Brady gushes he is
just glad she is her! She whispers what next? He wants an update on what she has been doing in her life. She flashes back to her sordid steamy fling with his holy brother and pretends she has been busy, then changes the subject. Brady boldly decides they should go out in public together for breakfast.
- Gabi feeds Salem patient Rafe in his bed. He is lucid enough to believe Sami did not shoot him but sighs to Dr. Cam that on some level, it felt very real! Cam explains the distinction between his dreams and reality
will become clear soon. Rafe would like to know who put him in the hospital. Cam’s phone rings and he excuses himself to check on a patient. He advises Rafe not to let himself get stressed again and exits. Gabi is concerned he has eaten little. Rafe stares and wonders whether Kate has been there. Not since he woke up. Why not! He sends his sister away to summon his lady love. Moments later an orderly arrives to take his tray. Rafe does not recognize him. He informs him he is from another floor. Rafe requests a newspaper.
- Stunning Kate is all alone at the town square café, thinking of lover man Rafe. Ring ring! Tis Gabi, who announces he wishes to see her!
- In the high school hallway, Rory is on his phone by his locker, arranging to meet someone. JJ appears and insists he play this smart and not do any deals in broad daylight. Abe has the cops watching them and they have plenty of cash to tide them over for a while. Things are looking up. His mom is off his case and taking a break from Dan, who will no longer be able to tell her what a delinquent he is. Rory notes they did trash his car, though. The stoner girl with the crush on JJ appears. JJ announces to Rory that he is in need of a favor.
- Cam advises new mom Gabi to take good care of herself. Glam Kate arrives and agrees. Cam warns her that Rafe’s memories of the details of what happened remain fuzzy. Kate is just grateful and elated he asked for her. Meanwhile, in his room, Rafe takes a deep breath. He is still in some pain. Enter Kate. Their eyes lock. She muses he remembers. He breathes how could he forget! He reaches for her manicured hand and drawls he
is glad she is there. So is she! She wonders whether he really remembers. He suspects vengeful Stefano is responsible for this. Kate does not think
it was his doing. Rafe chuckles then Sami must have found out about them. Kate laughs too and smiles everyone in town knows about them now. Rafe sighs about that damn dream stuck in his head. It somehow feels so real, with the gunshot ringing in his ears. Kate’s doe eyes are
filled with sympathy.
- At the pub, Dan introduces Eric to Mason, a cool forensics detective who is also a college buddy of Dan’s with CSI experience. Dan praises him as the best of the best. He adds no one has been booked in the hotel room where Eric’s episode happened since he was there. Even though it has been cleaned, Mason thinks he can do something. Dan suspects the priest was poisoned in that room. Mason can check the security footage and then some. They just need the go ahead. Eric pauses uncertainly. He claims he is feeling better and hesitates. Dan warns him what happened was a serious matter. Eric suddenly has a flashback of the mysterious woman in the dark sunglasses and decides he should do it. Once they are alone, Dan explains Mason will be able collect samples and do an analysis too. Eric admits he is conflicted, as though a part of him does not want
to know the truth. However, he agrees that he has to face the fact that someone could be his enemy out there, someone who wants to cause his harm!
It troubles him greatly, it does.
- Kristen and Brady enjoy their reconciliation breakfast in plain view at
the town square. She teases she has not visited Sami in jail as she does
not want her to be charged with yet another murder. Brady laughs. She is glad to see him smile. Nicole happens by, stops her in her tracks, and frowns in horror What the hell is this! Kristen sarcastically states it is a waffle. Brady stands up and just tells it like it is. He and Kristen are exploring the possibility of a reconciliation. Nicole is disgusted and thinks he has lost his mind again. Brady earnestly explains he learned from his father that Kristen rejected his advances as she loves only HIM. Nicole shakes her head and reminds him of the other sins. Brady reminds her
she was a babynapper herself. He has tried to forget Kristen but simply cannot, just like Nicole is unable to get Eric out of her system! Nicole snaps she will not be around to pick up the pieces for him the next time Kristen breaks his heart and walks away in a huff. Brady returns to the table. Kristen suspects Nicole still wants him. Brady explains that was not it. He now asks Kristen for sure if she was with no one else while they were apart. She insists that is the God’s honest truth. Brady acts like he believes her but seems to sense something. He points out she appears stressed out whenever he mentions it. Kristen feigns indignance, then admits she could use some kind of commitment from him before they continue. Brady takes her by the hand and leads her away, to prove the level of his commitment
.
- Pretty Gabi runs into Cam, who is enjoying his break at the park. She sits next to him on the bench and admires the beautiful surroundings. She is hoping to bring the baby to the park and is grateful Rafe is better so she will have him in her life. She is a lucky girl. Can looks at the pretty girl and drawls she sure is!
- Rory is briefly baffled that JJ wants him to get him coke. JJ smoothly states he is still grounded and therefore cannot make a move. Besides,
the stuff would not be for him. Rory laughs it is about that chick. He agrees to try tonight and goes on his way with the stoner girl.
- Jen lectures Theresa for not doing her work, Theresa points out Jen is not always around to answer her questions. Jen informs her that Kayla wants an evaluation and so far she has nothing good to say. She does not care if she does not want the job anymore but she must decide today!
- Kate heeds Cam’s earlier warning not to stress the patient and urges Rafe to relax, focus on the positive. He is mighty relieved she came back to him. She regrets she ever left him. He teases she could make it up to him with a chocolate milkshake. Kate giggles. He drawls she must have assumed he would say something else, a naughty glint in his eye. She admits she would do anything for him, whispers to get some rest, and glides out. Rafe admires the view. Meanwhile the obliging orderly has today’s newspaper in hand. The headline screams the commissioner’s daughter - Sami - was just arrested for murder. The orderly passes Kate as she exits and goes in with the paper. Rage groggily thanks him for it
and leans his head back, fatigued.
- Theresa angrily shoves files off her desk and tells herself that bitch can do her own filing. Anyplace would be better than here!
- Jen bumps into Nicole at the pub, who complains she could use a martini. So could Jen! Nicole asks if she read the book from the book club. Jen sighs she did not. Neither did Nicole, who thinks Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland might not have been a good choice. She is too surrounded with goodness and proceeds to complain about the old days when she was a hot reporter hounding people like PR Jen for the latest Salem scoop. She deduces Jen must be busy with Sami’s arrest. She now brings up Daniel, the fact that he seems to be tight lipped about their relationship these days.
- At the nurse’s station, Maxine shows Dan the press release requiring
his approval. He may leave it on Jen’s desk, though she has left. Maxine makes a snide remark about their break. Dan drawls the situation is complex. She doubts it and walks off.
- Brady ushers Kristen back to the house of Kiriakis, prepared to show everyone that they are getting back together. As it turns out, the house is empty and he calls Henderson, who confirms they are all out. He then starts to kiss Kristen. Ring ring! She must take the call as it is EJ. She promises she will be a mere two minutes and steps into the other room. Ding dong! Brother Father Eric calling! Brady cannot help but notice his frazzled demeanor. The priest sighs he has been up all night and he bears news. Daniel has an idea about how to find out what really happened and who is responsible for his strange symptoms!
- Rafe reads the newspaper front page and becomes extremely agitated. Kate returns with his milkshake. Rafe gasps why the hell would Sami kill Joe!
- Nicole assures Jen she just wants Dan to be happy. So does Jen. Nicole wishes she would stop pushing him away. She survived her and Chloe so she can survive anything! She warns one day she will push too hard and then Dan will not come back! The slinky blonde now makes for the bar.
- Dan leaves a note for Jen at her desk, then crumples it and starts to
write another. Theresa returns and feasts her eyes on the medicine man. Meanwhile, JJ leaves her a gushy message about getting her what she wants.
- Brady now learns from Eric that a CSI guy plans to secretly search his hotel room for evidence. If there is any, he is confident he will find it. CRASH! Bewildered Brady and Eric go into the other room, where Kristen is standing over the shattered glass she accidentally broke, her eyes filled with guilt and worry. It appears her glass house of deception has started to come crashing down ...
