At the swanky restaurant Dan awaits Nicole's answer ... Hope is at the square, leaving Abigail a message to get back to her so they may discuss ... Aiden appears with a bouquet of flowers ... Doug and Julie are cozily seated on one side of a pub booth,John and Marlena on the other side. They have returned from yet another cruise but more importantly Julie has heard reconciliation rumors. Dapper Doug asks whether they are back together. John and Marlena grin and blush. The beautiful people ... Paul has been invited to the Kiriakis mansion by new brother Brady. Maggie gushes and gives him Tate to hold. Brady admits there is no feeling in the world like fatherhood. Paul smiles at his new nephew ... Jumpstreet JJ meets with DEA dude and Commissioner Roman. JJ confirms he is already undercover getting close to Kyle. Roman warns him not to go rogue but the DEA boss believes he was right to jump in ... Kyle updates Clyde the boss on the phone that the new fellow will be able to help him. The big boss says to use his head and ends the call, getting rid of all traces of their communication ... At Eric's apartment Serena suspiciously asks what really happened when he and Nicole were locked alone together. He leers they almost lost their lives in a slow painful way because of Zander ... JJ does not share when Roman wonders what changed his mind about going undercover but he remembers Paige ...At the club, Paige considers getting together with Kyle to sock it to JJ. Daphne warns her against going near a suspected drug dealer and adds she seems obsessed with JJ still. Paige sighs she is right ... Serena informs enraged Eric that Nicole said something to her and her tone of voice was telling ... Nicole is overwhelmed and gives Dan the answer to his decent proposal. YES. The medicine man is much moved ...John and Marlena smile knowingly. Julie waits for an on or off or on and off? They laugh. John drawls he and doc are indeed finding their way back. Super soap couple Doug and Julie believe their life together is truly blessed and wish the same for those they care about. John and Marlena are at the top of their list. John gets choked up. Marlena smiles she feels blessed for all the time they have together and the wonderful family and friends who root for their romance. Julie the hopeless romantic requests a photo of the pair plus a kiss. John is only happy to oblige and gives the blonde a brief kiss, She kisses him back. Julie and Doug are delighted ... DEA dude is serious of this undercover work being a secret. JJ has one condition - that he can tell his long suffering mom - or no deal ... At the hospital Jen sighs her woes to Maxine about Paige turning down a clerk position she was perfect for at the hospital as well as other positions, probably because of how she hurt her. Maxine knows not the details ... Dan slips the sparkling ring on Nicole's finger and talks trust. Nicole flashes back to her near death hot kiss with Eric and suggests it might to too soon to wear his ring. He insists she wear it from now on. When Parker comes home from his mother's, he will explain everything to the little lad. Nicole now gets caught up in the excitement ... Eric wishes Serena would mind her own business. His overreaction does not go unnoticed. Moments later someone knocks on the door. Tis Brady, who demands to know what she is doing in Salem. She alludes to a new project at the hospital and departs but not before Brady bellows to stay away ... Hope and Aiden stroll happily through the square. Woman in red Kayla greets them. She apologizes for wrongly rushing to judgment about him before and invites them over for dinner. Sunday. Hope and Aiden happily accept ... John has to get going and gives Marlena a kiss. He breathes he will call her later. She smiles to say hi to the kids. Once he has left the pub, Julie admits it worries them he is so busy now with the new job, new son, new grandson that he might not have enough time for his soul mate. Marlena assures them she too knows Paul and the new grandson. She is involved in John's new life ... Maxine is perplexed about what Jen did to Paige. Jen sighs something she wishes she could change ... His DEA boss agrees to let JJ tell Jen about his undercover work but no one else and she can tell no one. It would be too dangerous ... Eric is a mess but not prepared to pour his heart out to anyone. Brady believes he needs help ... Nicole notes she always messes up so Dan might want to change his mind. He doubts it and insists she wear his ring. The engaged couple kiss ... John joins Paul, who is having a wonderful time with his new nephew in his arms. John believes both Paul and Tate are miracles. He lets his son know he hopes he too will enjoy the miracle of fatherhood one day ... Jumpstreet JJ is at the park with Kyle. He is ready to do business but Kyle is no fool and frisks him first. If only JJ knew the dangerous drug dealer was packing heat! JJ plays along and hopes there is no problem. Kyle checks his phone. There is much for them to talk about today. Paige arrives and spies them through the trees ... Aiden kisses Hope before heading to court. Hope asks Kayla what she has been up to lately ...Marlena has high praise for Paul and suggests the sports star seemed destined to find his father in Salem ... Paul admits to papa John he would love to have kids one day if he found the right someone. John asks what is new. Paul is upbeat about being able to handle Kate and how he ended up playing basketball with Will and Sonny. They are becoming friends. John pauses and then points out his someone new could be right here in Salem ... Brady is baffled about what has his brother so bothered ... Dan wants a wedding date set soon. Nicole is caught up in the planning fun and heads home to make lists ... Eric makes light of his mood. Brady agrees to stop pressing him and departs. Eric stands next to the cross on his wall and scowls. He takes off in a hurry ... JJ wonders what made Kyle have such misgivings and acts mad as he was the one who had approached him, not the other way around. Kyle claims he has doubts now due to Paige ... Paige has left the park and runs into Jen at the town gate. Jen is very worried about her but Paige tells Jen to worry about the creepy drug dealing company her son is keeping and walks away ... At the hospital Brady updates on duty Dr. Dan that he saw Serena at Eric's place. She seemed to think she had a new project at the hospital ... At Dan's apartment Nicole is giddy about getting engaged. Eric drops by and she decides she has something to tell him ... Dan suspiciously wonders what Serena was doing at Eric's place, then gets a call so he steps away. Serena approaches Brady, having overheard ... Eric bears news for Nicole. Serena knows about THEM ... Clyde gets off a phone call promising a hefty hospital donation. He tells himself chief-of-staff Kayla will probably do Abigail's paternity test. He will see the results first, whether it is Ben's baby or another DiMera bastard. Clyde is feeling mighty clever ... Kyle has his hand on his concealed gun and demands the truth from JJ on his Paige about-face. He has a bad feeling he cannot trust him ... Kayla excitedly admits to Hope she has been working on a big project ... Huge Day in Salem! THE END! |
