Rafe has arrived at the park for a friendly game of basketball but he is the first. He calls Sonny at the club. Sonny is coming soon, Will went ahead. He wonders why he is taking so long to arrive ... Will stops Paul from walking away from him. He explains he has been speaking to his grandmother. Paul assumes he is referring to Kate, who is clearly no supporter of his. Will clarifies he meant Marlena, who seems to like Paul now that he is John's son. Paul patiently waits for him to get to the point ... Adrienne is surprised by the sight of Lucas at the Wilson apartment. He pulled a quad and will not be able to attend the guys basketball game so he wanted to watch Arianna instead. He asks anxious Adrienne what is the matter. She gasps they signed the divorce papers. Lucas gets a sinking feeling that she would go back and change the past if she could. Adrienne does not deny it and suspects he would do the same with Sami. Lucas sighs he would since they share kids ... Kate complains about Paul the spokesperson but Justin is not really listening in his lavish Kiriakis office. He stands and turns away to hide the tears he hastily wipes from his face. The divorce papers are on the desk. Kate talks business ... Ben is less than thrilled when Chad approaches him about Abigail, asking how she is. Ben snaps she is fine so Chad leaves ... At the apartment, Abigail blinks up at Clyde, assuring him she is alright. Hope steps to her side and states it is a family thing. Clyde claims that as she is living with his boy Ben, that makes HIM family. Creepy Clyde wants to help ... Still at the club, Sonny is dismayed by a call with T, who has cancelled participating in the basketball game on account of a girl. Chad enters the club. Voila. Sonny now has his substitute ... Will has been discussing the situation with Marlena. Paul repeats not to worry, he will stay away from him and Sonny ... As he waits, Rafe gets a call from a law enforcement buddy about local gangs being used in Salem's growing drug trade. He is expecting an email about it ... Ben arrives on scene. He is aglow as Abigail the girl of his dreams is living with him. He tells curious ex-cop Rafe how great things are ... Clyde is told that Ben is not present. He is also told there is no real problem but politely pushes his way into the apartment to fix the kitchen sink. Abigail lowers her voice and lets Hope know she does not want anyone to know of her state just yet and that includes Jen. Abigail now explains to Clyde she needs to shower for work. He drawls he will go get a valve and exits. Hope gives the nervous new mom-to-be one last sympathetic hug before leaving. Abigail had assured her she was not going to get an abortion ... Kate perceives Justin's pain and continues to babble about company business to help him heal. She pouts she wants it on record that she opposed the hiring of Paul. Justin quips she is already a broken record and advises her to make it work or ... Kate muses he means leave. She insists they deal with this drama right here right now ... Sonny arrives at the park with Chad as T's substitute. Ben grimaces ... Will arrives and pleasantly tells Sonny his father was injured. He then presents Paul as the new player on T's team. Paul is all smiles ... Kate boasts to Justin about her latest coup ... She caused trouble for Countess W's almost contract with Howard's. Justin now comes clean about the freshly signed divorce papers. Kate sees he is sad and suggests he fight to save his marriage ... Rafe, Will, and Ben prepare to play an unseen game of basketball against Team Sonny, Chad, and Paul. Sonny is pleased about Paul being invited by Will and assumes Will is being sincere ... Clyde comes around corner after Hope has left the building. He sneaks into the apartment as Abigail showers and checks her texts. Nothing out of the ordinary. He then spies a pink prescription sticking out of her handbag and takes a picture of the drug name he does not recognize ... The first friendly game of basketball is underway ... Justin suspects Kate of crushing competition Lucas in an attempt to cause trouble for her son and Adrienne. Kate proposes they conspire to keep them apart ... Lucas wonders about Adrienne's living arrangements. She sighs she is staying a wee longer at Victor's mansion, thanks to Justin. Lucas tenderly takes her by the hand and blurts out he is here for her if she needs to talk. He wishes she would have dinner with him soon. Adrienne agrees ... After the first game the guys are sweating, some more than others. They joke except for Ben. He is livid he lost to Chad. Will sees the tension and flashes back to Abi's baby daddy dilemma ... Chad lets Will know he knows better than the others - Will invited Paul cos he is keeping his friends close, his enemies closer. He can relate ... Justin is not interested in games. He is to blame for the destruction of his marriage. Kate gives him a pep talk about moving forward, focusing on work to forget the emptiness. She will have some files for him soon. Before the corporate diva departs, grateful Justin warns her to be careful with Clyde. His eyes mirror his dread about the man she is dating ... It is post game time. Shirtless Ben is disappointed he lost against Chad. Rafe asks him if he needs more nightclub shifts. Ben informs him new improved Clyde has been helping him and goes on his way. Rafe watches with worry ... Chad remains to reply to his emails. Will enlists Paul's help in carrying things back to the club. Sonny approves ... Lucas later arrives at the park with Ari, only to get a call from work about the Howard's deal being almost dead. Lucas has a few minutes left to call and save the deal. Chad offers to look after Ari. Lucas hesitates. Chad insists he call Sonny to let him know he will be with her. Lucas does just that. Chad ends up happily holding Arianna, the cutest girl in Salem who seems to love her sunglasses. He fusses over her and makes sure she is protected from the sun ... Adrienne comes to the club and sadly asks Will for Sonny ... Meanwhile in his back office, Sonny is with Paul, who has put down his load. He wonders how it came to pass that Will brought him to the game. Paul is pleased and updates him on the invitation. Sonny likes how it all sounds good, normal, healthy ... Will appears and announces he wants them all to get along. He now updates Sonny on his mother needing him. Once they are alone, Paul apologizes to Will for assuming something else when he spoke to him. He regrets he was rather harsh ... Partners-in-solving-crime Rafe and Hope quietly confer outside the club. He is solemn about the increase in Salem's drug trade. Clyde must be the culprit given the timing coincides with his coming to town ... At the square, Clyde is ready to search online for deets on the drug prescription Abigail had in her handbag. Kate joins his table, happy to have a bite to eat together. He blows her off about being busy with business and walks away. Kate is not amused ... Abigail is ready for work and ready to fill the prescription from Kayla. She realizes that Ben forgot his watch and decides to take it to him when she has the chance. She tries to calm herself that in two weeks she will know who the father of her baby is. Just two more weeks ... Will assures Paul there is no need to apologize. He adds he knows Paul and Derek are just friends but they should all get together sometime - Sonny, Will, Paul and Derek. Paul is pleasant. When he steps out of the office, he cannot help but notice Sonny's long face. Adrienne has left. Sonny gasps his parents are getting a divorce for real. Paul longs to console him but waits for Will to come out. He informs him his husband needs him and gives them space. Will embraces Sonny, who finds it hard to handle his parents' divorce ... Hope gasps and asks Rafe what he knows about Ben. Rafe drawls he does know Clyde has been paying his tuition ... Ben greets seated Kate at the square. She complains Clyde cancelled lunch. Ben assures her his father is smitten with her. Kate advises him never to take a woman for granted. She suggests men who do so are in for an unpleasant surprise and slinks away ... Clyde sits on a bench all alone, muttering about the medication he does not recognize on Abigail's pink prescription. An internet search gets him results and those results are extremely revealing ... Clyde now knows her secret! Abigail comes up behind Chad and Arianna playing in the park. He lets the little girl know her middle name Grace comes from the little girl he lost. She was beautiful just like her. Arianna coos as he tenderly talks to her. Abigail looks ready to pass out ... THE END! Ahead on Days: Dan wants to M-A-R-R-Y Nicole! Eric wants Serena out of his world. Abigail drops a bombshell on Will. Will and Sonny have a heart-to-heart. |
