Afterglow Aiden and Hope are awake in their lavish hotel room. She checks her messages and he distracts her with more kisses ... Justin snaps his briefcase shut and starts to leave the Kiriakis mansion. Adrienne stops him with tears in her tormented eyes to hand him the SIGNED divorce papers. Justin promptly cancels the meeting via text. He considers this far more important ... Paul pleasantly awaits Kate at the club. She is cold and distant, dismayed when she gets the text from Justin ... Will meets with Marlena his spiritual guru at the pub. He confesses he wanted to make certain Sonny saw Derek with Paul at the picnic but believes it was a pathetic thing to do. Marlena wonders why he is telling her this. Because new Will wants to own what he does, the good and the bad ... Clyde is positioned at the park with an earplug so he can listen in on the conversations at the DiMera mansion. The phoenix is focused on his chess game. Chad declares check mate. Father DiMera has a question to ask and hopes for an honest answer. Chad scoffs when he suggests he would be willing to answer Chad's questions honestly as well. Stefano starts. Is his son in love with Abigail Devereaux? Clyde listens with bated breath ... Abigail gets out of bed and tiptoes to the trash. Ben wakes up, teases her, and goes to shower. Abigail assumes the worst as the pregnancy test box has gone MIA and Ben believes she wants to tell him something ... Chad stares Stefano squarely in the eye and states he does love Abigail. But what is it really to his father? Stefano wants him to be happy with the woman he loves but there is another thing. The fair Abigail is the key to keeping the DiMera Dynasty in a position of POWER ... Marlena praises Will for making progress. However, he would do well to get to know Paul, who is staying in Salem for his father and his job and family. He is no threat to his relationship with Sonny. Will suspects Marlena is pro-Paul as he is John's son ... Kate proceeds without Justin. She dutifully hands Paul his PR schedule. He questions the cologne name cos Vanquish is kind of over the top in his book. He wonders who came up with it. Kate hisses it was HER idea and if he wanted to change it he would have to come up with something better within 24 hours. Paul feels her spite and backs down. At least he appears to ... Chad has his doubts about Abigail being the destiny of the whole DiMera dynasty ... Ben is buff and dripping wet when he emerges from the shower. He teases anxious Abigail about what she wants to tell him and she blanches ... Hope and Aiden the hopeless romantic are having breakfast in bed. He teases next time they can celebrate at an exotic location but gets interrupted by a call. He sounds impatient about being bothered on his cell. Hope gets in the shower. She has other matters on her mind ... Rafe is spending time with Arianna at Sonny and Will's apartment, somewhat surprised but grateful about Marlena taking Gabi her daughter for a visit. He asks how things fare for Will and Sonny ... Marlena giggles about John getting a talking to by Paul for assuming he had feelings for Derek just cos he was gay. Will gets miffed about Paul accusing him of not being able to tell the difference between gay friends and lovers cos he and Sonny have no gay friends around. Marlena is sympathetic and suggests Sonny and Will partake in Salem's gay community. Will suddenly gets insecure about Sonny meeting someone there too ... Paul smoothly suggests he get in touch with a contact he used to date at Enews upon hearing they were not interested in promoting the cologne campaign. Kate is impressed, then quips that was when he was playing straight. She leers about his lies and wonders what he is playing these days ... Justin and Adrienne are both a mess. She is weeping while he blurts out the remorse he feels for hurting someone he LOVES so much ... As Ben gets dressed Abigail panics about him knowing she is pregnant. Hope calls just in time and admits she took the box after the trash got kicked over. She assures the girl no one else saw it and is on her way ... Stefano enlightens Chad on what Abigail stands to inherit. A piece of land from an old lady who refuses to sell. Abigail is her sole heiress and will soon be the owner of said lucrative land in Ireland. Chad seems bored. Stefano explains he is interested in what can be exploited under the ground but does not give details. Chad has no interest in keeping the DiMera dynasty super rich and says so. Stefano waves his finger at him and shows him a file with the phoenix emblem on the dark cover. Tis a list of all the charities the DiMeras do good for. One day Chad will inherit it with the woman he loves at his side. Chad counters he could not get her back if he wanted, after the words he spoke to the waif. Stefano slyly suggests he could get her away from Ben before it is too late. All he would need is to explain why he wanted to push her away ... Clyde is still listening .... Sonny notes he and Will are working things out. Rafe can relate, cos EJ never got over Sami and did not hide how he wanted her back much like Paul. Sonny sighs Paul is not a problem. Rafe urges him to convince Will of that cos their little princess' world depends on it ... Marlena sympathetically suggests Will have faith in Sonny, that he believe in him ... Kate gets catty about Paul's lies. He gets catty right back about the bad advice she has probably been giving Will ... As Justin steps away to get rid of someone at the door, Adrienne flashes back to their young love, the obstacles they faced, the fact that she trusted him with all her heart and said so when they spoke their wedding vows. She finishes repeating those vows of trust as Justin returns. He reaches out to wipe the tears from her face and wonders whether they can ...Ben teases Abigail about what he knows - he heard from Hope that she called her grandfather about moving in with him. It makes Ben happy. Abigail is relieved and agrees. Hope arrives and Ben departs ... Justin holds himself responsible for the end of their marriage. Adrienne believes she played a part as well and points out Victor will want her to leave. Justin insists he can handle Victor and asks her to stay a while ... He is so sorry ... They admit they still love each other again and she takes off in tears. Justin sits numbly at his desk, staring into space. It is in such a state that Kate finds him. She proceeds to pout about Paul, then realizes something is wrong ... Ben approaches Clyde at the park. He is meeting some pals for a basketball game and shows him his tuition bill, grateful for his help. Clyde quietly asks how things are. Ben admits Abigail was in some kind of mood this morning, probably cos she is a woman. Clyde thinks she should not be trusted but Ben believes in his girl. When Clyde hears Chad dropped by with Ben's watch, he grimaces. Ben gets a text about the super not being able to fix the sink today and gets going for the game ... Clyde decides to take action ... Abigail appreciates Hope hiding her pregnancy box before Jen could see it. Hope discreetly asks about the result. Abigail has a meltdown. Hope consoles her as she admits Kayla confirmed she is pregnant ... Rafe is getting ready for the basketball game by running. He runs all the way to where Stefano is standing and grins when the phoenix threatens to have him permanently removed from his property. Rafe grins at the goon with the gun and ties his running shoe on a big rock, This rock, he explains, indicates the property line. Stefano accuses him of spying for Victor. Rafe drawls he does not work at the club during the day. Stefano taunts him for losing two women, having too much time on his hands. Rafe now issues him his own warning with a sarcastic smile before jogging off ... A sign of things to come! Chad DiMera is on the move. His suit is dark like a DiMera, his shirt blue to match his eyes. He walks up to Ben and announces they have to talk. Ben looks at him with hatred ... Will is near the club when he notices Sonny and Paul outside smiling as they part company. He sees red and storms after Paul ... Adrienne cannot stop crying and hopes Sonny is at home but someone else opens the door. She gasps what are you doing here ... Will calls after Paul, who pauses and patiently explains despite Will seeing him speaking with Sonny, he is simply not after him. He turns and Will tells him to stop right there ... Abigail swears Hope to secrecy while she processes her pregnancy. She needs time ... Ding dong! Abigail opens the door, assuming it is the super and is surprised by the sight of Clyde. He asks her what is the matter, his voice oozing suspicion. Hope turns around with a worried look on her face. Abigail forces a sweet smile ... THE END! |
