Episode 12,128 - EJ is at the pub, pleasantly signing the last document that puts him officially in control of DiMera Enterprises. He does so under legal eagle Justin’s watchful eye. EJ wonders about Victor and Adrienne’s reaction. Justin admits he is unaware of Victor’s view and steers clear of the topic of Adrienne. EJ regrets the recent tension between Samantha and Adrienne. Justin would rather change the subject. EJ notes he does not like to mix personal matters with his legal career. Justin is smartly evasive in his usual lawyer manner. EJ now wonders whether he would consider accepting a permanent position and sips his drink. The title would be chief consul overseeing his entire legal team. Justin notes it is quite an offer. EJ explains that he trusts him. Justin explains he happens to be a Kiriakis. EJ, however, has already made up his mind. He calls Justin a man of integrity and excellent judgment, one he has great faith in. Justin thanks him. EJ tries to sell him on it and remarks father will try to make a comeback so he could use a good man like him on his team. He gathers it could cause friction at home, which is one of the reasons the offer is so lucrative. He passes him the contract over the table and Justin smoothly agrees to consider. EJ thanks him again and elegantly departs. Justin cannot help but feel flattered. - At the mansion, Adrienne wants Sami to explain herself about Detective Bernardi! Sami quips why should she. Adrienne brings up his widow and family. Sami coolly states she already told the grand jury everything. This conversation is over. Adrienne disagrees. Sami snaps she has been patient out of respect for Will and Sonny and suggests she withdraw. Adrienne gets upset, believing she is making Sonny do something he should not. Sami gets sarcastic that if Sonny has been turned against her, she and she alone is to blame! Adrienne insists her son has been dragged into a mess. She rages about Justin’s respectable reputation also being ruined by his dubious DiMera association. Sami points out Justin was well paid when he represented both herself and EJ. Adrienne wonders whether anyone on the jury wondered why a decorated officer wanted to kill Rafe. Sami starts to leave. Adrienne yells the family deserves answers! Sami sticks out her chin. Bernardi was a dirty cop! Adrienne laments she dragged her son and husband into the dirt. Sami denies it and claims she never even knew Bernardi. She advises Adrienne to leave. Adrienne declares this is not over. Sami warns her not to try and come between Will and Sonny. Adrienne hisses she will do anything to protect her son from HER and storms out. Sami explodes and sends the flowers flying off the desk with one sweep of the hand. - Will walks into the coffee house and Sonny is thrilled to see him, as he texted him right over. He is also thrilled to share that the liquor license just came in, according to Chad. This hot spot will be hopping at night too! Sonny is proud that he and Chad accomplished this on their own. Will notes the place will also be open later too, longer hours. Sonny does not deny it and goes to put something in the safe. Enter Brent and within seconds he has let Will know that Sonny called him to tell him about the license! He thinks Will looks surprised he knew. He sits down and boasts Sonny told him right away. Sonny comes out and greets Brent with a hug. He explains he and Chad need his help to change the place. Will forces a grin, though it is more exasperated than happy. - At the rectory, Nicole informs Eric that the caterers need the final order by next morning. She will take care of it so the pooped priest can sleep in. She now asks what Dr. Dan revealed. Eric flashes back to the news that he may have been purposely poisoned and stares. The tests were not important. Nicole implies he is not telling her the truth. Did Dan identify which toxin made him fall ill? Negative and his last attack was brief. He suggests they focus on the new school. The bishop coming is a big thing. Nicole presses. She doubts Dan would have come on down to show him the results in person if there was not something. Eric hesitates. Nicole insists he share. Eric finally admits the doc suspects he was purposely poisoned! - Kristen has her tablet open on the bench, as she admires the video of her and Eric’s passionate encounter. The time has come to make Marlena pay! She gets interrupted by a call from father phoenix. "I need to see you now!" he growls. They meet at the park and he reminds her he was stabbed in the back by EJ. He looks her squarely in the eye and asks if EJ did indeed fool them both! She insists she knew nothing about the deception and wants to know what EJ is up to. Does he know what he is planning? Stefano observes her with suspicion. Of course he does not believe she is guilty, nor is Chad. However, that pig Justin Kiriakis did the legal. That other pig Shin betrayed him! Kristen wonders if he blames her and will punish her for not keeping the family together. He chuckles he will not. She would like to know why the clandestine meeting then. Does he want her help against EJ ...? - John Black is in black. Brady has summoned him to the house. The suave former spy wonders what he wants. The truth! John gives him a hawkish look. No problem. The truth about what exactly? About Kristen DiMera! John drawls there is not much more to say. Brady believes there is and seeks enlightenment. John admits he was out to seduce Kristen that fateful night so his son would see her for what she was - and she was playing the same kind of game, to turn Marlena against him. That was how it was! He starts to leave and Brady asks him to stay if he really cares. John’s eyes narrow. Brady asks for the whole story. John agrees to give it to him. - Sonny gushes that he and Chad were both impressed by Brent’s design website. Will offers to help too. Sonny explains Brent is the one with loads of experience and the stuff he has on his site is unique. Brent gets his tablet to show him more. Will sits down and forces another smile. Sami calls Will as Sonny and Brent sit at a cozy booth, pouring over the tablet together. Will watches them as Sami warns. Adrienne seems to be on the warpath. Will thanks her and continues to observe Sonny and Brent, who are laughing together now. - Nicole is flabbergasted that a master poisoner has targeted Eric. She immediately suggests they check out Kate! The appearance of Maggie ends that conversation. She coos she has the last necessary donation to keep the new school on schedule. A Kiriakis donation of ten grand. Nicole will get the sparkling cider to celebrate. The priest gushes she made his year. The redhead whispers she has something else to share too. Victor promised he would not be rude to Nicole tomorrow. Eric is relieved. He wishes nice Nicole would never have to hear negative things. She should believe more in herself. She has sooo much to offer! Maggie marvels he sees the good in people. His eyes shining, Eric passionately praises Nicole’s fighting spirit, recalls her tough past, and hopes things will get easier. Maggie marvels how kind he is to protect her. Nicole stands outside the door, having overheard, and slips away for a moment to regain control, so overcome with emotion is she. - Adrienne storms into the pub and complains to lawyer Justin about her confrontation with Sami at the mansion. Justin wishes she would give it a rest. They promised not to interfere in Sonny’s life. He must step away to take a call. Adrienne takes the contract from the table and glares at it. Justin gets off the phone, Adrienne rages he cannot be serious! She insists he cannot consider this deal with the devil, but he lets her know that is exactly what he is doing! - Meanwhile, EJ returns to the mansion, where Sami’s dismay quickly turns to desire ...
