Episode 12,012 - Gabi and Nick are at a pub table, making eyes at each other, as she anxiously awaits …. Rafe arrives and she throws her arms around him, hoping he will be in attendance when they wed at City Hall today. Rafe suddenly suggests they cancel the ceremony! Nick’s face falls. They sit and Rafe explains he just thinks they should wait a while, not necessarily cancel forever. Nick drones they love each other and their baby. Gabi wants to hear her brother out. Rafe points out they almost started their marriage with a scandalous lie. They need to let the dust settle and not just react to the fallout. Nick snaps they are in love. Rafe suggests they need time to make sure it all feels right. Gabi blinks. Nick regains his composure and notes they will need time to talk it over. Rafe reminds his sis he loves her, drawls Nick’s idea seems fair, and walks out. Gabi asks what Nick thinks. He sternly replies she already knows what he thinks. - At the town square, Will asks about Kate’s stressed state but she is more worried about Will. If Nick and Gabi wish to shut him out, she can arrange for Nick’s parole to be revoked! Will disagrees as Nick is not trying to keep him from anyone. He explains he went along as he thought it was best for the baby he not be involved. Kate insists he would be a fantastic father. Will grins he is now going to try. After seeing his little daughter and feeling her kick, it was so incredible and a definite game changer. Kate is mighty pleased to hear it is a girl. “Oh my God!” she emotionally gushes. “I’m so happy for you, sweetie!” Will notes it was a real life changing moment seeing her on the monitor. He naively adds he and Gabi and Nick seem to be on the same page. Kate now agrees not to get Nick’s parole revoked and assures him she just wants her kids and grandkids to feel loved and secure. Will senses something has happened. Kate gets teary-eyed as she laments that she and Billie exchanged words, though she is certain they will work things out. They always do. Meanwhile Billie is on her phone at the coffee house, eagerly accepting a new job that starts right away! - Hope meets Marlena in her cop office, sympathetic that John has left town. They belong together! Marlena woefully states his trust is gone as she tried to best Kristen. Hope blames herself for the wiretap but Marlena insists they both know who is to blame for all. Her worst fear was John would end up in Kristen’s bed. Her lack of faith in him was what drove him away. Hope suggests they head out but Marlena is in too much pain and departs after a hug. Hope considers. - Kristen heads into the bathroom to wash her hands. Nicole is concealed behind a door. Brady lets out a shout when he spies the secret Titan files on the open notebook computer. "How the hell did they get on here!" Kristen returns to have a look at what all the commotion is about. She has no idea why those top secret Titan files are on her computer, nor does she appear fussed about it. Brady growls one of those deals is still in the negotiations stage and he is the only one with access. He is suspicious and asks Kristen if he should be. Kristen gets offended and starts to leave. He demands to know why these are on her computer and she storms out. Brady goes after her. Nicole now emerges and triumphantly tells herself her work is all done here! - Brady follows Kristen through the town gate and insists they will get to the bottom of this! She snaps the whole scenario is too idiotic and thinks she was set up by Nicole when she came by with the resignation papers. Brady deduces that was after she came by the mansion, where she acted rather strange. The pieces start to fall together. Kristen remains insulted and indignant and does not hide it. Brady is very sorry he jumped to the wrong conclusion. “We both got played.” He adds he has a way to prove it too and he will after he takes another look at those documents! - Nicole waltzes back to Father Eric at the rectory, beaming about the beautiful day. The priest would like to know whether she got Kristen’s signature on the letter of resignation. She happily hands over the letter and he exits with it. Enter cowboy Brady, asking her to hear him out. He pretends to think she was right about Kristen. Nicole hopes she did not hurt him. Brady hopes she can help him make some sense out of the situation he is about to share ... - Hope becomes impatient when her pen runs out. Enter Rafe and he can identify with her mood. He sits across from her desk and hands her a working pen. She understands why he is in a foul mood and asks about Gabi. He just hopes things do not get worse and complains about her and Nick planning to marry today. Hope cannot believe it and offers to talk to Nick. Not necessary, as Rafe already spoke with them. He now mentions she seems edgy, assumes she has a good reason, and wonders when Bo might be coming back. - Gabi reasons waiting to wed might not be a bad idea. Nick, on the other hand, fears Rafe never wants them to be together. Gabi insists he simply wants them not to rush into things. He could be right. Maybe waiting will help everyone feel happier for them. She would like to have family and friends present so waiting to wed might be a good idea. Enter diva Kate. Someone is finally talking some sense, says she. - Kristen is outside on her phone, ordering extra security measures be put in place. Marlena happens by and overhears. Kristen notes this was not about her but perhaps it should be! Marlena mutters she must be proud of herself. Kristen pokes fun at her stupid tricks. Marlena concedes she won. Both she and John are suffering. Kristen, however, thinks she thrives on self-pity and dares her to take responsibility for what she did. She knows for a fact she did not even tell Brady what she pulled. She hates that she is a smug hypocrite and walks away. Marlena gets an idea. - Brady complains to Nicole about what happened. She is sympathetic. He adds there is more. The stolen documents were brand new so they were time stamped when uploaded to his computer. Based on that alone, Kristen could not have stolen them! Nicole suggests she hacked into the system. Impossible. He wonders whether Nicole saw anything at the house. He, Victor, and Dan certainly did not do it. She scratches her head and suggests Henderson. Brady suddenly declares it was HER. He knows she copied them to Kristen’s computer when she went for her signature. Nicole accuses Victor. Brady flies at her for throwing his grandfather under the bus to save her sorry self and grabs her. “You lying little bitch!” He rages he stood by her and cannot believe what she did. Eric suddenly appears and stands between them to break it up. Brady continues and announces he has proof that she planted documents. All she did was make him and Kristen stronger than ever! He snaps she crossed the line and therefore they are through! Nicole cannot stop him from storming off. Eric now turns to her. “My God, what have you done!” he gasps. - Nick assures Kate his work would not suffer from getting married today as he does not start until next week. Kate talks just waiting, nothing to do with work, and also advises Nick to thank Will for making her honor his employment contract. She lets it slip she knows the baby is a girl. Nick asks her not spread it around just yet. She agrees to be discreet and hands him his parking pass, warning she will be keeping him very very busy. That means she will not be having much time for his fiancée either! - Marlena runs into upset Brady at the town square. He sighs this is not a good time to talk but she insists it is important … - Back at the pub, Nick laments to Gabi that no one seems to be on their side. Today both Kate and Rafe tried to call the shots with restrictions and conditions. Gabi gets stressed. Nick assures her they will figure this out. Gabi cries she knows what Rafe wants her to do and what he wants her to do. She does not wish to be caught in the middle. She suggests they wait a couple of months for the beautiful wedding they want. “Please Nick.” He reluctantly agrees, if it makes her happy. She hugs him and he sighs. - Hope appreciates the concern. However, she is not on edge! Rafe casually remarks Bo has been gone a while. She replies he is spending time with the kids. Shawn, Belle, and their little Claire. She only wishes she could be there. Rafe now get an unexpected call from Gabi, who informs him they will postpone the wedding after all. Rafe is relieved. Hope realizes they agreed to hold off for now and thinks it is good news as well. She hastily makes for the door, to pick up Ciara from school. Rafe had thought they were talking … Hope insists things are fine, there is no more to say, and asks him to lock up before he leaves. Exit Hope. Something, however, is not quite right ... - Nick is seated at his computer. He quietly does an internet search of "Lucas Horton prison sentence.” He is ready to get down and dirty and play hardball with Will Horton! - Nicole starts to explain she was trying to help Eric and Brady, though Eric is not impressed. She talks about the better path he wanted her to be on. He quips he failed if this is where it led. Nicole argues she will never be virtuous. Besides, if she had succeeded, he would be thanking her. He snaps he would not! Nicole now admits she would do it again in a heartbeat, to make Eric happy and to make Brady see that evil woman for what she is, even if it meant losing Brady’s friendship.
