STOLEN SECRETS - Part 2 Marlena admits to Brady that John did not venture to Europe only for business, it was also to get away from her. She whispers she went to see Kristen while wearing a wire, hoping she could make her come clean about her intentions but it all backfired. Brady suspiciously wonders why she is telling him this now. Marlena had assumed Kristen would have told him and explains she was onto her from the start as she even held up a note that said I KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING. Brady flashes back to finding the ripped up note and asking Kristen what it was, her telling him it was work related. Back to reality. Marlena is sorry. He grimaces and hastily excuses himself. At the coffee house, Kate is seated at a table, busily writing notes in her appointment book. Enter Billie, who would like to join her. Kate explains she already put out feelers for her replacement, in case she wants to stay at the company ... But Billie bears news. When she ran into Will, he thought Kate deserved to know and so here she is. She was offered a job. Kate congratulates her. Billie now drops a bombshell. She leaves tonight as it is in Europe! Kate cries does she really hate her that much? Billie did not intend to hurt her. She is doing this for herself, for her own peace of mind. Kate breaks down. Billie promises she can come visit and she will sometimes come back. Kate does not want to say goodbye. Billie would rather not and cries that she loves her. She only wishes it was not so hard to be in her corner, though she will always be there in spirit. They embrace and exchange I love yous. Billie now walks out sniffling. Kate’s eye makeup is running, yet she does not even seem to care, so heartbroken is she. At the pub, Gabi has just informed good friend Will that she and Nick are postponing the wedding. He is thrilled and grateful when she presents him with a picture of their little girl. He thanks her, then asks where Nick is, for he would like to thank him too. Little does he realize ... Nick is reading his computer, having found the old news about Lucas confessing and going to prison for 10 years, charged with attempted murder. Nick is doing the math. “Lucas went to jail for Will, so the confession was a lie for Will so he took the rap for Will”. He laughs out loud. “The gay boy tried to murder EJ DiMera!” Will now pops his head into the room. Nick freezes. Father Eric is sorry this cost Nicole her relationship with Brady. Perhaps she will be able to repair things, though she should brace herself in case. He now points out she broke the law and if Kristen or Brady are angry enough to press charges … “I would end up in jail!” Nicole panics. Kristen smugly enjoys a glass of wine and victory at her place. Knock knock! Tis Brady. She wonders why he did not use his key and assumes he confronted Nicole. Brady confirms she did indeed confess to the crime. Kristen wants to celebrate with a kiss but he coldly holds her at bay and demands to know “Why did you lie to me about Marlena!” Kristen stares.
