It went well until the hacking. Sonny feared they could be arrested. Chad feared the site had been hijacked. Will took a look and found the hyperlink to the online gambling page. He then found the ip address of one of the posters and they confronted him at the dorm. Arty the student stated he was just a pawn and showed them the multimillion dollar gambling operation. A big international website run by the mafia. They play for keeps! The website gang then shut their website down. NOW ... Chad and Mel are locked in a room somewhere, being watched by cameras. Chad curses. Mel starts to cry. He is sorry. A thug enters with a gun and another thug. SIX HOURS EARLIER ... - Tonight is the night of Abigail's journalism award ceremony. Jen is with dressed up Abigail at the house. Gabi is there as well. Abigail thinks this is the last thing her friend feels like doing. Gabi assures her this night is about her award. Besides, she would rather not think about her and Will breaking up. Abigail checks her phone again and Gabi notices. She notes she has not heard from Chad, who was supposed to be there. She tries to call him and gets his voice mail. Meanwhile, Chad is at the town square with Mel and chooses not to answer. He thanks her for keeping this between them. Mel giggles. A thug in a leather jacket watches them. He is packing heat. He gets a call and leers he is watching him right now. The target is with some chick. Those stupid kids will not know what hit them! - Sonny finds Will alone at the pub and asks if he is alright, given what happened at Maggie's place. They are worried about him. Will drawls he is fine, he is great, but would rather be left alone. Arty the student rushes in and gasps "They are gonna kill us!" Sonny reassures him they have his back. The student gasps they are all in danger and warns they better find their friend or he will be as good as dead! - Bo and Hope have been summoned by Rafe, who is with a football star from Salem U. Rafe explains something big is going down on campus and Will might be involved too. He could be in danger. He asks the nervous athlete to repeat what he has already told him. - At the house, Gabi helps Abigail with her makeup. Jack calls Jen and she tells him they are not ready yet. Abigail sighs and hopes Chad is OK. - Meanwhile, Mel has helped Chad pick out a necklace for Abigail. She puts it on to model it for him. He fastens the clasp and she turns around. Their eyes lock. He drawls it is perfect. She blushes and smiles that Gabi will love it. The thug brushes past, causing Chad to drop the necklace, and Chad says to watch it. The thug shows them the gun tucked in his pants and threatens to put a bullet in their head unless they do exactly as he says. They start to walk ahead and Chad attempts to disarm him. The thug laughs, brushes him off, and warns the girlfriend gets it if he tries any more funny business. The teens walk ahead as instructed. The thug takes them away from the safety of the town square at gunpoint. No one has noticed. - Daniel arrives at the Kiriakis mansion to pick up Victor and Maggie for Abigail's award ceremony. He admits Jen will be there with Jack. Victor hopes he has not given up on the fair Jen. He assures them he is fighting for her still, just not today. Maggie thinks he is a great man with a big heart. Any woman would be so lucky to have him. Dan grins like a schoolboy. - Carrie is with Rafe, Bo, and Hope, as the athlete tells how he was threatened to throw games. His whole family was threatened with death! - Arty the student is a mess. He gasps they are all dead if they do not act fast. Sonny informs him they shut the website down. Arty explains the bad guys are the mafia. Now that they cut off their cash cow, they are gonna make them disappear! - Bo and Hope ask the athlete about the bad people. They mostly sent him messages. So in the game against State he set a school record and played well. It was a mistake! - At the pub, Will wonders if Arty is on drugs. Arty warns they probably already got their pal and suggests they call him. Will realizes there is no answer. He asks how bad it is. Arty points outs there was a complex infrastructure with offshore access. Bookies from all over the world had access. The guys now realize if they do not put the site back up, the mob will really kill them! - Sonny and Will head out to search for Mel and Chad. - Maggie, Victor, and Dan greet happy Jen at the town square. Vic notes she must be proud of her daughter. Jen gushes she is talented at many things. Vic asks when they start. As soon as Abigail gets there. She went back to Gabi's place to get her fave earrings but should be there soon. Jen excuses herself and Dan watches her go to Jack, who is staring at his phone. Jen smiles he made it all possible. Jack is modest. She thanks him for encouraging their daughter. When she won her first award, it was one of the best surprises of her life. He always believed in her and Abigail. He laments he has not always been the best dad but Jen insists he loves his daughter and she loves him. That is enough. Jack grins. - Abigail arrives at the town square with Gabi, who picks up the fallen necklace. Abigail thinks it is beautiful. She is delighted when Austin shows up, minus busy working girl wife Carrie. Gabi says hello. She spies Will and asks Abigail to stick with her. Together they join Will and Sonny, who nervously ask if they have heard from Chad. Negative. All of a sudden they all receive a message - tis a photo of Chad and Mel held at gunpoint! The girls start to panic. Sonny wants Abigail to calm down. Will assures her the site is all they want. Gabi asks Will what they can do. - Vic and Maggie approach the teens and Maggie wonders where Abigail has gone. To the restroom but she will be fine. The redhead asks if they have heard from Mel, as she has been unable to reach her. Gabi pretends she just spoke to her and she is on her way. Victor and Maggie now walk off together. - Chad and Mel are roughly shoved in a room, the door is locked. Mel wants to know what is going on. Chad has no idea! They yell to let them out.
