Wednesday, December 7, 2011 up on December 6 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! THE GAME IS AFOOT! PART 1 - Gabi and Mel flounce into the brand new spa. Proud owner Quinn charmingly welcomes them. Mel wants to treat Gabi, though they have no appointment. Quinn offers to customize things for them. Chad enters, spies Mel, remembers kissing her, and tries to sneak out. Mel sees him and asks what he is doing there. He starts to stammer. Mel explains they are waiting for Abigail. Chad is there to sign up for martial arts classes. Quinn offers to do everything on the house for the gang today, so long as they tell their friends about his great spa. He assumes Chad and Mel are a couple and offers them a couple's massage. They blush. Chad, Mel, and Gabi now sign in. Quinn leads Chad to the men's locker room. Gabi thinks Chad is cute! They wonder where Abigail is. The girls are soon accompanied by a female employee. Mel accidentally leaves her phone on the front desk. - In front of the town square bookstore, a very pensive Austin bumps into Abigail and spills her coffee. She is all smiles when he offers her another cup and goes to get it. Abigail happily accepts it when he rejoins her. He admits he was thinking of something that involves her. Abigail gushes. He explains he could really use her help. As a college student, what does she think makes a good teacher? She is sure the students will love him, especially the girls. Austin, however, does not want to be out of touch with the students. Abigail tells him what students are like these days. Austin pleasantly says she should be his teacher! Abigail thinks the students will also be impressed he used to be a stud boxer. Austin, whose stud boxing days are long behind him, is still a tad nervous about being a professor. Abigail assures him he will be great. She informs him how she herself is now considering a career in journalism. In fact, she just won an award. Austin congratulates her. She is excited about tonight's ceremony and impulsively invites him to attend. - At the café, Madison is mad when Sami comes late. She snarls at her they will discuss her job after she takes a phone call. - Kate is on the phone at the mansion, barking at flunky Chris. After she gets off the phone, she realizes the phoenix is distracted at his chess set. She wonders if she can help. Stefano coos he loves his sweet Katarina and wants to protect her. As the head of the family, he must keep all his loved ones safe. Kate elegantly reminds him she is his wife. He stands up to pour himself more coffee and appreciates her concern. However, he will be alright. Kate suggests he start confiding in her. "Absolutely not!" says Stefano. He teases he knows she keeps secrets too. She wonders how. He grins he is Stefano DiMera. However, he trusts her judgment. Kate calls him amazing and purrs she loves him. He loves her too and they kiss. - At the pub, Bo and Hope are in fine sleuthing form. They go over the odd note in Alice's ornament in addition to the bank account. Bo drawls he will help solve this mystery and steps away from their table with a grin. - Bo has obtained Susan's phone number from Marlena, as she used to treat her. He makes the call for Hope and hands her the phone. Funny Susan answers and is surprised to hear from her. She hopes her Elvis is alright. Hope assures her he is fine. "I hear he's running for mayor!" chants his wonderfully wacko mom. Hope explains she is actually calling about Stefano. "Ugh!" replies Susan. He is a mean mean man! Hope brings up her letter to Alice. Susan states Mrs. H was a saint and helped save Elvis. Then Stefano found out and went to Alice. Hope asks why. Susan pretends not to be able to hear and cackles like there is static on the line. She then hangs up. Hope informs Bo she panicked and is fearful. Bo considers. He tells Hope to get her stuff and takes her somewhere. - Having had his hair done, busy assistant Chris meets Kate at the town square to go over the day's agenda. He gets a message and frowns. Kate is miffed there is always some drama with him! - Meanwhile, Madison tells Sami that her bad work ethic ends here! Kate spies them, instructs Chris to get them some coffee, hides, and listens. Sami insists she has the mockup Madison wanted. Mad snaps that is not the right image. Sami insists that was the one she wanted. Mad warns she has potential, but if she does not shape up ... She should have know it would be a disaster, given she has never had a job more than 2 minutes. Madison gets a call and steps away again. Kate approaches upset Sami and points out her boss is a b*tch! Sami wants to be left alone. Kate wonders if her boss always treats her like that. The Sami she used to know would have chewed her up and spat her out! Sami is worried she will fire her. She thinks Kate just wants her to be fired too! Kate reminds her she is the mother to her grandchildren. She claims she does not want her to reply on Lucas for all that child support and gives her a pep talk. "Be strong even if you are wrong!" Sami thinks she is right and the mockup is as per Mad's original instructions. Kate suggests she tell her dragon lady boss just that. She must stand up to her, once and for all! - Bo and Hope pay Stefano an impromptu visit at the mansion. He chuckles they must be there about his so-called bond with Alice again. Hope realizes he has the same photo of EJ displayed at the mansion. He calls it a coincidence. Bo doubts it. Hope reminds him they know Susan asked Alice to help EJ get medical treatment as a baby. The phoenix makes a comment about Susan ending her call due to the static on the line! Bo and Hope realize he tapped Susan's line. He drawls they are so predictable. When it comes to Susan and Elvis, he kept an eye on them, but no worse than that. He insists he thought it was a good idea for Susan to seek Alice's help. Bo and Hope remain suspicious. Stefano claims he knew Alice would help even a DiMera. Hope asks why he never told her that before. Because Alice evidently chose not to. He calls that a clue and tells her to let it go! Bo insinuates he is being dodgy. Hope suddenly holds up the note from the ornament. She wants to know why Alice had it. Stefano takes a look and stares darkly. It is interrrrrresting! He asks how they came by it. Bo will not say and demands he tell them why Alice had this. Hope thinks this voucher is typical of the phoenix. Bo wants to know why he gave Mrs. H his own version of a get out of jail free card. The phoenix refuses to answer. - In the locker room, Mel and Gabi are clad in towels. Mel realizes she forgot her phone and scurries out to get it. Mel quietly emerges, sees her phone, which is still on the now abandoned front desk, and reaches for it.
