Monday, December 12, 2011 up by 5:10 pm et December 9 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! TURNING POINT! PART 1 - Jen reads about the hostage drama in the Salem newspaper. Knock knock! Tis Mayor Abe and Lexie. They are there to see how she is doing. She is doing better, as is Abigail. The mayor is glad no one was hurt. Jen confirms she has also seen the news that Salemites are worried about organized crime. She is convinced the time has come to expose EJ's corrupt background to the voters. Abe refuses. Lexie agrees, as they are above playing dirty, unlike her brother! Abe points out Lexie and Theo would be dragged into it. Jen argues that there are DiMeras who make a good contribution to Salem society, then there is EJ, that crook in designer clothes! Abe will not change his mind. Lexie insists he will win because of who he is. They will stay on the high road. She adds Abe has a speech for the children's charity luncheon today. Jen agrees EJ will not be able to compete with Abe's moment today. As he goes over his speech, Lexie notes Abe is being true to who he is. The mayor is elated that PR Jen made some improvements on his speech. - EJ lovingly watches Nicole asleep next to him in the grand DiMera bed. She opens her eyes and he wonders if he was in her dreams. She smiles he was if they were sweet. He murmurs he loves her. She loves him too and they kiss. After making love again, he chuckles he would like to stay in bed with her all day. She informs him he is the guest speaker for the children's charity luncheon today and it happens to be Abe's pet project. Companies connected to the DiMeras donated money, thanks to her, and she promised them he would remember that once he was elected mayor. He drawls they should take a shower so he can give her a proper standing ovation. She thinks he should go ahead, for she has a loose end to tie up. They are both looking forward to Abe's reaction once he realizes EJ has stolen his thunder! - Sami is with Madison at the office and boasts she was on time and Will helped bust an international gambling ring. She hands her a report. Mad is nice. She notes it is Brady's. Is he not in today? Yes, he is at his office. Sami excitedly leaves for a meeting with Morrison. Madison glances at the file and frowns. She now enters Brady's office and he suggests next time she schedule an appointment. She wants to know why he gave Sami the file to pass on. Brady coldly states everything she needs is in the file and tells her to shut the door on her way out! She stays and demands to know why he is ignoring her. He insists he does not care. She is sorry for what happened between them. He calmly states she was right and they were wrong to mix business and pleasure. Besides, she kept changing her mind. She claims to have a reason. He would like to know why she is trying so damn hard to make him not care. She just has difficulty getting close. Brady wants to know why. - At the festive town square,Kate runs into Sami and they converse about what happened to Will. Sami explains she was out of town with the boss, whom she had told off, as per her suggestion. Worked like a cham! She thanks her. Kate also knows she has a meeting with that tough Anthony Morrison. Sami is surprised. Kate muses she shouldn't be. After all, she makes it her business to know everything about the competition. Ring ring! Chris is apparently on the phone with more drama, as his bronzer turned him orange. Meanwhile, Sami's babysitter has brought her the kids, as she had a family emergency. Sami is not sure what to do and laments Madison is going to kill her for this! Kate stares. The kids start to run around as Sami scrambles to call another babysitter. She wants the kids to look at the Christmas tree. Kate observes. Sami gasps she cannot screw up this meeting. Kate offers to help - again! Sami immediately becomes suspicious, given she has not been close to the children lately. Kate quips that is because she and EJ are hardly civil with each other, among other things. Sami flashes back to her lovefest with EJ. She snaps out of it and claims she says no when Kate wants to see them as she would rather they not spend time at the mansion. Kate offers to spend time elsewhere with them. Sami considers. She does have that meeting ... - Jen gets a call. It was the assistant for the charity event. The luncheon has been moved to Horton square. Jen. Abe, and Lexie are soon at the town square, but something is not right. There is no sign of the luncheon! Meanwhile, EJ is making an impromptu speech at the luncheon, which was not moved! He smoothly states he is there as a concerned citizen. He realizes that it has been a struggle to raise money for the children's recreation center and afterschool program, but the struggle is over. He and his staff have reached out to companies they are associated with and they will be funding everything. The crowd applauds. EJ gets a standing ovation. Mission accomplished! - A the town square, Lexie unhappily reads on her phone that EJ made an announcement about getting the funding for the charity and stole the spotlight at the charity luncheon. Jen gets a call from the director and explains they were told the luncheon was moved. Nicole and EJ waltz in, arm in arm, and he laughs it was certainly his good luck that the speaker did not show up. Jen races over and accuses the smug pair of playing dirty. She calls them both evil. EJ is most amused as she states they are shameless and disgusting. Lexie gets mad and EJ plays innocent. He just happened to be there. Jen calls him pathetic. Abe quietly observes. EJ explains Nicole did not set this up. Abe now says he had been getting everyone to donate, so the whole community would feel involved. EJ gets sarcastic about unicorns and other such fantasies. Lexie grumbles just when she thought she could not be any more disappointed in him ... Abe ushers her away. EJ steps away to take a call. Jen issues Nicole a warning to play fair.
