THE CATFIGHT COMETH!

- Salem patient Rafe slowly moves his fingers. Not an easy task. Enter suited slick legal eagle Justin. Rafe is hoping to walk soon. Justin is there for some questions for Sami’s case. If he is up for it, that is. Kate now appears and snaps like hell! She questions whether Sami’s defense attorney even has permission to be there and is miffed he did not check first, given what Rafe has been through. Rafe, however, would like to answer the questions. Kate warns Justin not to tire him out. Justin asks about Marge Bernardi or anything that can help him defend Sami. Kate presses him to leave. Rafe assures her he is alright with this. Justin finally gets her to give them a moment and notes she is a tad protective. He is interested in Rafe’s dealings with and impressions of Joe Bernardi. Rafe pauses. He was a fine cop, loving family man, all around good guy. They were not acquainted off the job, however. Justin wonders whether there was anything not quite right. Nothing. Rafe sighs. Unfortunately, he is not helping Sami’s case. Justin would still like him to be a character witness. Rafe wonders about that attack video in the square that emerged. Maybe he can help. Justin would rather not discuss it. Rafe would.
- Needy Adrienne shows up at chief of staff Kayla’s office looking for an old friend, but Kayla does not agree with her recent antics. She threw her family under the bus with what she did to Sami! She also made Justin’s job more difficult than it already was. Adrienne laments he is no longer speaking to her. But she only did what she did to save Sonny. She thinks Kayla would have done the same for her daughter Stephanie and bitterly starts to leave. Kayla concedes she is right. Adrienne is grateful. Kayla reminds her of the book club gathering at Jen’s later. Adrienne is not sure she should go Kate suddenly storms in and rages Adrienne’s husband is harassing poor Rafe! Kayla returns to the Salem patient’s room with diva Kate and puts an end to the visit. Justin will talk to him later and exits. Rafe wants out of the damn bed. Dr. Kayla checks his vitals. His blood pressure is slightly elevated. Rafe is disappointed and repeats he wants out. Kate follows Kayla out with the shortlist of physical therapists. Kayla quietly reminds her this must remain a secret. She thinks Rafe is a lucky man to have her. Kate gushes it was not luck that brought them together. Meanwhile Justin and Adrienne lock eyes at the elevator. She would like
a few minutes to talk. He snaps he has no time to chat as he is trying to get his client out of jail. She implores him to talk to her somewhere. They get in the elevator together. His body language is aloof.
- Abigail is at the town square with Cam, boasting she actually prepared some food for their makeup date. Chad arrives with a grin and greeting, pretending to be busy with the renovations. Abigail talks stress and when she leaves to check on a class, Cam assures Chad he said nothing. Chad accuses his romantic rival of wasting no time with his girl! The intern hopes he has made the appointment with the specialist. Chad has and states as soon as he gets back to him, he will make an appointment and give Cam the good news first! Chad is putting on a brave face. Cam
wants him to be well but Chad remains convinced he wants him out of
the way. Cam tries to encourage the young man that it might be nothing, not the worst case scenario. Chad admits he is not prepared to lose ... anything. Ring ring! Tis the specialist. Chad will be there shortly. Abigail reappears and wants to know what that was about. Elusive Chad leaves. Abigail notes his strange secrecy and wonders. It makes her feels badly. She thanks Cameron for being so open and understanding and walks off with him for their picnic.
- Marlena mutters John’s name in her sleep on the couch as the sunlight streams in. She dreams of evil Kristen standing over her, leering she is only getting started with her! Marlena wakes up with a start and vows not to let her destroy her day.
- Eric brushes by Brady at the pub and Brady wonders why the cold shoulder. Eric give him an icy glare. Brady offers to help with his priestly problems. Eric is less than receptive. Brady now assumes his foul mood concerns Kristen. Brother Eric blurts out she told him all about him and Nicole! Brady drawls they were only a blip. Eric is indignant. His brother points out she mistreated him in the past and she is a grown woman.
They are still friends. Eric insists she is upset. Brady talks honesty. Eric growls he was not honest with him about the affair and is not even sorry about what happened! Marlena arrives and senses the tension. Eric greets her with a hug. Brady insists everything is fine. She quips not really, for his sister is in jail. He wants to see her. Marlena informs him one must be on the list. And Sami will be in jail a while, too. According to Justin, it could take weeks to find a jury! Eric asks her to let sister Sami know he will be there at his usual time. Marlena wonders what is new. Eric acts nonchalant, announces Brady has news for her, and leaves to attend to
his priestly duties. Marlena would like to know what news Brady has.
- Nicole laughs her head off when Kristen declares she is her boss. The she devil insists it be true! At least as long as she will be helping Eric
pour over the holy scholarship applications. Nicole feels Eric will stop the insanity but Kristen insists the decision came from high up, from Bishop White. She righteously remarks Father Eric understands and they will be spending time together. A lot of time! Nicole rages she already ruined Brady’s life, and she will not allow her to do the same to Eric the good! Kristen purrs it is too late! She proceeds to taunt her for loving the priest, who considers her a mere charity case. Nicole retorts she is overqualified for this job. Kristen talks obsession. Nicole cannot believe such a psycho is walking free. Kristen now returns to the topic of Brady, who is not doomed like his brother, and warns her to keep away! Nicole is amused she is so worried about her being near Brady. No wonder she has her crazy on! Kristen officially issues a warning. Her bed hopping days at the Kiriakis mansion are over or else! Nicole boasts Brady jumped into bed with her right after they broke up. Kristen hisses if anything happens and they break up again, people will suffer, especially Nicole! No one stops the great Kristen DiMera! Nicole feigns fear. Kristen hisses she cannot begin to imagine what she is capable of!
- Marlena sits at a pub table with bothered Brady and deduces this concerns Kristen. She has a bad feeling and she is right! He stammers there was a misunderstanding. She gasps she lied to him if that is what
he thinks. He declares things have changed for them. Marlena is utterly horrified. How could he forget what his eyes and his instincts were telling him! He claims it was in fact John who made him see the light, after he enlightened him on some things that happened. Brady now confirms he and Kristen are trying again. Marlena politely thanks the love addict and adds he has lost his mind!
- Kristen reminds Nicole that she has work to do on the scholarship fund. Nicole reminds her she is not her boss and she is going to keep an eye on her. Kristen smiles her crooked smile and muses they can keep an eye on each other. Eric appears in the doorway. He opens all is well. Kristen purrs it is and takes her leave, gushing about the wonderful work they will be doing. Exit Kristen. Nicole scoffs she cannot believe that one will now be lurking around here!
- Chad is in the office with the specialist, who announces they need an MRI immediately!
- At their picnic in the park, Abigail serves her surprise lunch to Cam,
who loves it. He tries the salad and she starts to feed him.
- Adrienne and Justin confer at the town gate. Apparently Justin has moved out. He accuses her of not acting like a partner in a marriage. She did whatever she wanted and hung him out to dry!
She argues she was afraid and assumed he was aware of the video. He murmurs he would never have put work over family. She thinks he did, considering who he
is in league with. She quips she was right. He is disgusted by her lack of faith in his judgment. She haughtily states he is in bed with EJ DiMera.
- Kate fusses over Rafe at his bedside and assures him there is no need
for a brave face. She tells him to talk to her. The big guy confides he can hardly move his arms and cannot move the rest of his body at all. What
if he never walks again? She promises to get the best physical therapist! Meanwhile, Kayla is on her phone, arranging to hire the best therapist on paper, one Jordan Ridgeway. HR Anne must be informed. Dr. Kayla gets back to her computer, pleased with her choice. But is it really the right
one ...?
- Chad awaits the doctor with the results of his MRI. He stares at the medical encyclopedias on the shelf and flashes back to happy moments with the fair Abigail. He is a young man with much to live for. He blinks and the doctor enters, his demeanor solemn. He gets to his computer and motions for Chad to sit. The tension in the air is thick.
- Abigail now has dessert for Cam and remembers their past date, after
he quit his dancing job all for her. That was even better than chocolate. He has no regrets. He would do anything for her. She blushes.
- Marlena offers Brady her professional opinion. Kristen DiMera is a sociopath with a borderline personality disorder. It will never change. Brady refuses to believe it. She urges him to get out of the fire before he gets burned. He must save himself from the she devil while there is time! Exit Marlena. Brady frowns.
- Kristen is holding the usb key containing her Eric sex tape and considers throwing it in the trash, then thinks better of it. She is not yet certain she will not need it and places it back in her expensive black leather purse.
- Nicole thinks the bishop’s idea was dreadful. Eric admits he had no say in the matter. Nicole snaps everyone thinks Kristen is nothing but a bad idea. He suggests they make an effort. She reminds him there are children involved here. How she hates her! Eric’s eyes narrow and he wonders if that is because she has Brady’s heart. Nicole shakes her head in dismay. Perhaps that is true, she fibs. She will do her best to deal with this situation. Eric sighs mama Marlena will take the news badly as well. He has not had a chance to tell her. Nicole notes it is a world view that Kristen is bad news and she does not like the arrangement one bit.
When she walks out with the files. Father Eric mutters neither does he.
- Offended Justin decides he and his wife are done. Adrienne woefully asks if he is referring to their discussion or their entire marriage! He turns back and peers at her.
- Cam wants to share his dessert. Abigail the flirt wipes some of it from his mouth. They share a kiss in the sunny park.
- Ominous music is heard as Chad urges the doctor to say something.
- Back at DiMera mansion, Kristen gets a call from Brady, who wants to forewarn her he just spoke to ... Ding dong! She ends the call to open the DiMera door to the visitor. There stands Marlena the tigress. Kristen the dragon lady coos she was hoping to see her! Marlena stares her down without blinking (see picture above). Braces yourselves. The catfight cometh!
