- Dan and Jen kiss and she thinks it was long overdue! They gasp and
are all over each other like a couple of teenagers. He explains Maggie could return with Parker any moment. Jen explains she does not have to go back to work for a while. Dan now races out with her hand in hand. They have reunion fever!
- JJ tells Theresa the tease he cannot talk now. She offers to make up for her bitchiness and orders him to the town square in ten. Bev the almost date asks who he was speaking to. JJ stammers it was no one important but he needs to check with his mom that he is allowed to go out. He
kisses the clueless girl and adds he should go get some things ready for their date tonight. The long haired rival glares at them.
- Suited Nick has just lost another interview and sighs all alone in the
park. He is understandably distracted and ambles into the town square. Theresa also ambles, distracted by a shop window. BUMP! Nick drops his stock portfolio. Theresa helps him pick up the papers and slyly notes he must be a stock broker. He admits he dabbles. Her eyes narrow like a cat and she purrs to wait when he starts to go. She would looooooove to hear all about his fascinating job! He tells her he is Nick Fallon. Nick is clearly flattered by the attention of the pretty young thing. But Theresa is after his bank account. She gushes he must be good at his exciting job. He thinks he does alright. She would love to hear all about it and suggests they have coffee so they can talk about it. Nick muses that mergers and acquisitions are not so exciting. She coos she would love to learn more, plus she is new in town. Nick is ready and willing for that coffee and so they walk off together. Jealous JJ observes and slowly shakes his head.
- EJ is with Sami at her cell. He suggests champagne to celebrate, for the autopsy will prove she did not kill Bernardi! Sami is hopeful. EJ promises she need not worry about Marge either. She complains the guards glare like they hate her. EJ points out high ranking cops Hope and Abe assured her they would protect her. She is still curious about the court order for the exhumation. EJ explains the new autopsy will certainly vindicate her.
- The widow Bernardi has just advised defense lawyer Justin to forget it, for Samantha Brady is going to pay! Justin tries to explain her husband might not have died from the gunshot wound, as previously believed. They are after the truth. She leers she already knows the truth - Sami shot her husband in the back. The entire town and police department are on her side, not to mention Justin’s wife, who gave over the video for justice to prevail! She wants justice for Joe. Justin states there is nothing she can do to stop the court order. She smirks there is and she did!
- Nicole nervously brings up Father Eric to brother Brady at the pub. Things have become uncomfortable and he is shutting her out. She seeks assurances that his health is alright. She simply must know! Brady stares. His brother seems fine though if anything changes he will keep her
posted. Why not ask him herself? They work together day after day after holy day. Nicole admits she would rather not, as he already suspects she
is in love with him! They sit and she blames EJ for enlightening him. Brady notes it was long obvious though Eric did not see it. She sighs Father Matt implied she should attend confession. Brady is sympathetic. She laments this is the new normal and Eric has put a wall between them. If only they could be friends! Brady suggests she open up to Eric about her true feelings. She calls him insane for the idea. Eric is a priest after
all! Brady points out one should not lie to a priest. She thinks it is worse
to fall in love with one. Brady feels he deserves to know, plus she would feel better. She gasps he might suggest she find a new job and home.
She does not want to go back to her wicked ways. Eric might also opt for a transfer, but he is needed here. Brady believes she is underestimating him. His brother would try and work this out between them. Nicole fears a scandal. Brady argues there is no point in lying as even Eric suspects the truth. She sees no other option. Brady sarcastically wishes her luck and departs.
- Kristen has her bracelet in hand and is on all fours at the rectory. Eric would like to know what she is looking for! She stands up, dusts herself off, and tells him of her lost bracelet which is now found. It must have fallen off when she dropped off that hefty check! Eric stops her from leaving and calmly accuses her of lying to a priest. He finds it highly suspicious she came in without knocking or asking. She insists she did
not want to be a bother and suggests if she wrote another check, he
would be a little more understanding. The priest warns her the church cannot be bought and drawls she is still not telling the truth. She makes a funny face and admits he is right. She has not been totally honest with him! She hoped to find Nicole alone to talk. Eric wonders why she is out for her blood this week. Kristen wants Nicole to know she is back with Brady so their sordid affair is officially over! The priest stares in shock. "What affair?" He sits on the desk and hangs his head. Kristen muses it was just about the sex and she wanted Nicole to realize it is over. She perceives the priest would rather be alone, insists she hates gossip, and exits. Eric finds his way to his chair with a sigh and stares at the cross before him on his desk.
- Dan and Jen make mad passionate love under the grey sheets.
- EJ hands Samantha the phone, for it is an important caller. Tis little Johnny. Sami cries tears of joy. Ally is swimming and he cannot wait to feed the ducks soon. Sami thanks her boy for the video. He asks when she is coming home. Soon, she hopes. Meantime she asks him to hug and kiss his siblings for her. He loves her and she loves him too. Her face is red as she cries they will talk soon. Maybe even tomorrow! The little boy in the green t-shirt says goodbye to his mommy. Sami breaks down and emotionally thanks EJ, who holds her hands. As soon as she gets out of here, he intends to escort her to the chapel and then carry her over the threshold to their home. He is adamant they will get their thrillingly
blissful ever after!
- Justin drawls the court order is final. Mad Marge points out even Rafe does not believe Joe would have wanted to hurt him. This ploy will help nothing. Her husband was cremated! Justin insists he has the records that show a burial. She complains it would have cost thousands more. It is hard enough to meet their mortgage - which also proves her husband was not on the take! After the memorial service, there was a private burial of the urn. She now believes Joe helped her make the right choice. Sami
can kiss her whole life goodbye!
- Theresa and Nick are carrying their coffees at the town square. Slick Nick has an incoming call from the Department of Corrections. He is vague about the call he needs to take and steps away. The gold digger sweetly offers to get them a table and smiles smugly. She sits down and fixes her face in her compact. JJ appears behind her and muses she is a fool for being after that guy! He is his cousin, an ex con and ex stalker. She quips no one is perfect and edgy is good. He adds Nick used to have a drug problem and would not even score her any coke. She suggests he
is jealous of his brilliant successful cousin. JJ laughs she seems to think Nick the nefarious is rich. Theresa now looks worried. JJ cackles he was just fired too. She argues he was in a suit with a briefcase. JJ chuckles it was an interview, He cannot get a job with his record and is probably a busboy at the pub again. Any money he makes will go to alimony and child support. Theresa had no idea there was a baby too and squeals to help her get out of this coffee date. JJ reminds her she was about to ditch him for her potential rich ticket. She insists they were only having fun anyway. JJ concludes she is no fun and advises her not to call him again. He storms off. Nick comes back and admits to the curious girl that he is between jobs at the moment. She screams he is a broke loser not a stock broker. Nick realizes she only asked him out as she believed he was loaded. She calls him dishonest and takes off in a huff. Nick squints.
- Dan and Jen cuddle nekid under the grey sheets. He kisses her head
and breathes he missed his baby. She whispers she missed him too. The medicine man wonders what has changed. She does not want to lose him again and could not resist him. He assumes ... She gushes she loves him and will never take it for granted again. They seal the deal with a kiss. She later scrambles to get dressed and get to work, not wanting to be
late. They kiss and promise to see each other soon. Shirtless Dan grins.
- Sami suggests she and her fiance pick a new wedding date. EJ declares there is no need. He believes she will get to the church on time! She loves EJ and kisses him, then hopes Aunt Kayla can get her out in time for their scheduled wedding. He is certain of it. She gushes this will be her last and most important wedding of her life. Justin now calls EJ with bad news. There shall be no new autopsy. Sami is crushed. Her kids will grow up without a mother just like she had to! Now what can they do? She looks up at EJ with her baby blues.
- Jen returns to the hospital and Maxine hands her the latest messages. One concerns the magazine article on Daniel. Another message indicates Jen has won a PR award. Dan arrives and admires his girl as Maxine congratulates and hugs her. Dan must sign a document for another nurse. Nurse of the year Maxine is pleased for PR maven of the year Jen, who must get to work. Dan now approaches Maxine and pours her coffee. They discuss the good news. Maxine is grateful Jen won, not that barracuda from Saint Mary’s. Dan did not mean that good news, having assumed Jen shared their reconciliation with fan Maxine. He realizes she did not. Meanwhile Jen goes into her office, where JJ awaits, hoping for
a favor. He wonders about her good mood. Jen smiles.
- Brady stands in the mansion doorway, zipping up Kristen’s cocktail dress. Father Matt appears and loudly clears his holy throat.
- Nicole finds Eric alone in his office, deep in thought, holding a bible.
She thinks he was praying. Negative. In fact, he was thinking about her!
- EJ receives another phone call from lawyer Justin, who is sorry but Marge was right and the cremation has been confirmed. EJ suggests a cover-up. He does not think there was one. Regardless, they have to contend with the recorded cause of death before the court - that Joe Bernardi was killed by Sami's bullet. Sami weeps in her cell.
- Father Matt sits with gracious hostess Kristen and informs her how grateful the bishop is for her generous scholarships. He was hoping she would also play a role in selecting the beneficiaries, along with Father
Eric. Kristen snaps NO, she cannot spend more time with Father Eric! Father Matt and Brady are baffled by her unusual reaction.
- Eric peers at Nicole with a pair of accusing eyes. She thinks this is
about EJ’s gossip. No. Then it must concern her run-in with Sami. No. The priest mutters this is about his brother and asks, through clenched teeth, whether she is sleeping with him! Nicole is at a loss (picture above)!
