- Prisoner Sami wants the guard. She sits and wonders where everyone has gone. Something is not right. The widow Bernardi suddenly appears and proceeds to taunt her. She is wearing a red top to match her raging mood and declares Sami will not get away with this! Sami calls for a guard. Marge presents her with a photo of the little boy who still cries after his dead father. Sami is sorry but Rafe’s life was ... Mad Marge screams to stop lying. She saw the video of her attacking him! Why did she hate her husband enough to kill him! Sami looks down. She cannot explain why she acted the way she did. The widow warns she killed a decorate hero and the jury will leave her to rot behind bars. Sami insists some proof will be found that reflects her innocence for she is innocent. The widow doubts she will ever see her kids again and departs. The surveillance cameras were conveniently not running. Sami is alone and scared. She should be.
- Kayla rushes into the courtroom as impatient EJ and Justin await. The judge’s seat is empty but His Honor is expected shortly, for the hearing is scheduled for today. EJ hopes Kayla has something solid. She has gone over the notes and the autopsy report and is convinced Bernardi’s bullet wound did not kill him. EJ hopes it is sufficient evidence to have the body exhumed. Justin wishes they just had something bigger. They could use a miracle! Meanwhile, Salem patient Rafe dreams of the widow Bernardi’s words to him. He wakes up to Nicole and smiles. She teases he has more friends than her and she could not bear to lose a close friend like him! He asks her about the latest. She mentions the new school at St Luke's. He read about it in the newspaper. Nicole snaps it should be no surprise that
it all went to hell, thanks to Sami Brady. She strikes again! Rafe wishes
he could speak with her. Nicole stands up and blasts her for causing such trouble for her twin Eric. Rafe muses it is making her crazy. The parish secretary does not deny it. It drives her to distraction that Sam’s antics almost got Eric transferred away from Salem! Rafe stares. She dares him to share what he is thinking. Rafe raises an eyebrow. Evidently she cares for the holy man. He grins and adds she really cares! Nicole gasps, then claims she is just protective of her two friends. She almost lost him and almost lost Eric too. Rafe is now surprised to learn that Eric might have been poisoned. He weakly offers to help Dan in his investigation. Nicole asks him not to repeat what she said, however. Father Eric has sworn her to secrecy ...
- At the park, Theresa the tease boasts to JJ that her man is a successful one. She brings up his position but jealous JJ stops her. She chides him
for not getting her what she wanted and he takes off in a huff, smarting from the apparent rejection. She sarcastically yells after him to have fun
in algebra class.
- Brady remains torn between his sixth sense and his love addiction. He questions whether he is right to trust Kristen again. Jen suggests he be wise if he wants another try with the she devil. Meanwhile, said she devil is in full Susan disguise, locked in the bathroom of Mason the forensics investigator’s office. Dan and Eric demand answers about the evidence.
It was all destroyed by the spillage. Mason is not even sure he will be
able to salvage this. He is also waiting for the woman who wrecked everything to emerge from the bathroom. Dan solemnly steps to the door and assures her they are not cross but she cannot stay there forever. He wants her to open the door! She shoves a note under the door, claiming embarrassment. The priest steps up to try. He asks her to speak with
him, having had much experience talking on the other side of a door. Kristen starts to panic, searching for a way out, and accidentally knocks over a shelf. The men get worried and decide to force open the door. Kristen looks left and right, desperate for an escape! There is a window nearby ... Multi-talented Dan the man picks the lock with a pen. The
three men burst in, only to discover the mysterious woman gone, the second floor window wide open. Now what? Dan finds it too odd to be
a coincidence. They were getting close to the truth with that evidence.
The investigator folds his arms. Eric has a sudden flashback of the raven haired French woman and announces he did meet a woman at the hotel who was acting strangely. It still haunts him, it does. Perhaps she was connected to his attack. He proceeds to describe her. She was black haired, sophisticated. Mason points out the woman he saw was not like that. She was mousy, uncoordinated and idiotic. He believes the spill
was an accident and apologizes for the inconvenience. Father Eric is disheartened. Determined Dan assures him they are not giving up!
- Brady thanks Jen for her candor. She must get back to work. He notes Daniel still loves her. She explains it is not easy but her son needs her now. She does not know what else to do than keep her distance from the doctor. Jen now returns to her PR office. Theresa races in late again,
lying that she was in HR as instructed. Jen is fed up with the lies and places a call summoning Anne to her office. Soon, she leers, Theresa will not have any hospital job to worry about! The girl stammers she cannot lose the job and refers to unspecified legal issues in L.A. Jen stands firm. Theresa leers she knows why she really is mad. She has no man in her life, hence her pent up rage and bitterness. Jen scoffs she is lazy and
rude and incompetent. Anne eavesdrops at the door as Theresa rages at Jen for being too much of a downer to hang onto any man. Anne now enters and innocently asks if all is well. Jen leaves her to do her thing and waltzes out. Anne stares with interest at the girl and shuts the door. Oh oh!
- Dan meets with Nicole, at her request. She is admittedly worried about Eric and the fact that he could still be in danger. Dan will only say they have some leads. He knows Eric would not want her to worry. She sits and confesses there is something else she knows and it concerns that JJ Devereaux. She implores him not to let JJ get in the way. He is playing his mother but Dan should know better. He wonders what has happened. Nicole explains she bumped into the teen and he was holding something
he was purposely hiding from her. Like what? Like nothing good. Dan muses Abe has his eye on the lad, who has had shoplifting trouble. Nicole advises him to take charge and speak with Jen. Dan disagrees, for it might make him lose her for good!
- JJ runs into Rory by the blue high school lockers and fibs the girl he was supposed to score with was not his type. Rory laughs, sensing he struck out. Nearby strange girl Bev is being asked out by the school hoodlum. She spies JJ and approaches. JJ lets her know he is not busy tonight. He invites her to hang out. The hoodlum glares. Bev gushes she will await JJ’s text and walks off. JJ grins he has a date. But the hoodlum warns
him to back off. JJ quips she is not into him and departs. The hoodlum scowls he is messing with the wrong guy!
- Moments after Kristen returns to the mansion, dressed as herself, Brady arrives. He notes she is frazzled. She claims the caffeine did it. Brady knows she is hiding something and wants to know what! She stares at
him with her big blue eyes. He asks for honesty. It was unusual she was carrying a garment bag. Lover boy Brady seems to suspect she is seeing someone else. She emotionally insists he is the only man in her mind.
She had a tough presentation today. She promises from the depths of her dishonest heart that she too wants their new beginning. Brady realizes she is missing her bracelet. She freezes, then remembers sitting at Eric’s desk in the rectory when she hacked into his holy computer. She bites her nail and wonders. Brady also wonders. She explains she must have lost it when she delivered the donation check to the rectory. He is satisfied with the response and they hug. She wants to go look for the bracelet. He suggests they meet up for decaf after. She kisses him ardently and he exits. Once alone, the she devil raises her eyes to the heavens and gasps no one will know she defrocked the priest so why did God have to go
and make such a complication!
- EJ arrives and consoles scared Sami at her cell. She cries Marge was there and there was no guard! He tenderly tells her to take a deep breath. Sami is terrified and feared he would not even be allowed to come. She now asks about court. Apparently the hearing has been delayed. They do not yet know whether the judge will approve the exhumation of the body. But lawyer Justin is hopeful, as much as he can be.
- Jen pays Salem patient Rafe a visit and he asks her to get Dr. Daniel to release him. He has had enough of the damn bed! She sweetly explains
he is being super cautious. Rafe sighs he is grateful and notes Daniel is always there. Jen is lucky She sighs she is indeed fortunate to have him
in her life. Matter of fact, she had almost lost sight of that big picture!
She thanks him for the enlightenment. Rafe groggily thanks her too for making him feel useful. He assumes she will go speak with Dan. She gushes she will and exits.
- When Theresa refers to her boss as a miserable human being, Anne is pleased as punch and perches on her desk like a reptile. She suggests they do the paperwork and make it official. Theresa is surprised she is not getting fired. Anne smirks she is exactly the kind of assistant that Jennifer Horton needs. Theresa smirks too.
- Marge Bernardi is clicking through the town square when she gets a text that makes her see red. "No way in hell!"
- EJ returns to Samantha and sighs there have been so-called difficulties with the surveillance cameras, not to mention that there is no record of Marge Bernardi being there. Sami is worried. Abe cannot protect her as promised in this place. EJ tries to be optimistic. If the judge agrees to the autopsy, she will be scott free! He holds his fiancee through the bars and kisses her unhappy head.
- JJ walks with strange Bev and asks what they should do tonight. How about a party! Theresa calls him and apologizes. She purrs she wants to make it up to him. They can hang out later and she will make it worth his while! JJ considers.
- Dan opens the Kiriakis door to Jen, who breathes hi. He assumes she
is there for Maggie but she is there for her medicine man and proceeds to kiss him passionately.
- Nicole catches up with Brady at the pub. The love addict refuses to listen to what a bad idea she feels his reconciliation with Kristen is. She proposes a truce, if he does something for her. It concerns brother Father Eric!
- Kristen sneaks into the empty rectory office and soon spies her missing bracelet under the desk. She gets down on her hands and knees, thanks God, and grabs it. Eric silently appears and a frown creases his brow. He wonders what she is doing in his office on her hands and knees.
- Sami cries she misses being with EJ and the kids. He encourages her to hold on. Justin now calls with big news. Voila. The judge has granted the court order to exhume the body. Sami is relieved. EJ kisses her through the bars. They have no idea the widow Bernardi has just found Justin
and vows the exhumation is NEVER going to happen ...!
