- Father Eric gets off the phone with his Excellency and Nicole appears
in her summer dress. She did not expect to see him and learns he was speaking with the bishop. She fears he is getting transferred away! She arranges a delivery on the phone for her priestly boss and he thanks her. She understands he was trying to remain under the radar after what happened with Sami. He remarks he will be lying low for a while. Nicole gets closer and complains they must be transferring him. He tenderly explains he belongs here long term and the bishop shares the same view. Nicole is relieved, now ready to tackle the next problem on their plate. "What about you and me?" The holy hunk stares. Nicole emotionally apologizes for upsetting him the day of the school opening. She hopes he can find it in his heart to forgive her. He thinks it would be best to forget
it even happened. She gasps that is great. However, things do not feel right between them. Things are simply not settled. There is still ... He
looks up from his holy desk "You and me!" Nicole insists she did not mean that and dismisses EJ's foolish gossip. She was referring to Brady and Kristen’s reconciliation. They must take action to get him away from the wicked witch. She is all wrong for him! Eric gives her an odd look.
- Cam presents Chad’s test results to a fellow doctor. He peers at the results, then solemnly advises him to get the young man to the specialist. It might be a tumor. Cam sits down and thanks him. Abe appears and perceives he is troubled. Cam sighs. Meanwhile, Chad is spending quality time with Theo at the park, impressing his nephew with magic tricks. Abigail smiles at the scene. Chad talks catching frogs. Abigail clears her throat and Chad gushes he is pleased she made it. He has a picnic of sorts ready for them! Theo sweetly offers her his breakfast. Chad gushes they are both glad she is here. Theo asks about fun Uncle Cameron. Chad points out it is better to be with a magician than a doctor! Abigail points out doctors are like magicians too, however. Theo recalls his mom was
a doctor, then gets diverted by a frolicking frog. He and Chad chase after the creature the way boys do.
- Hope was hoping to catch up with Jen at her office, but she is not there. Jen, who is on her phone with Hope, is at the town square. Hope wished to discuss Daniel but Jen would rather not and decides to work from home today!
- Lucas comes to Horton house and JJ asks how Will is. Lucas suggests he drop by to see him. JJ explains that is just not possible. He is officially stuck! Lucas notes he is grounded and lectures him for the shoplifting.
JJ claims some bad company convinced him to do it. Lucas senses he wants something. JJ asks him to be on his side, help make his mom see
he has reformed. Lucas quips that is something he has to do himself! JJ laments she is not giving him a chance since he has been trashing Dan, whom he does not like. This pleases Lucas for he can relate. JJ claims he was being honest. He insists he would like to console Will so perhaps Lucas can help him get that privilege. The teen steps in the other room to get a book. Jen returns home and is happy that Lucas was hanging with JJ. Lucas muses she needs to know something about her son's current state. Jen becomes defensive about him questioning her parenting. She exclaims she is tired of the judgment! Lucas insists he is not doing that.
He can sympathize that she is doing her best as a single parent. Jen gasps it is not easy. He understands. She is sorry she lost her cool. He explains no prob, he is her brother. He suggests her teen son is trying to move on and thinks she should let him visit Will. He could use the family around him. Lucas now realizes he is running late and must return to work. Jen thanks him for the mini visit and apologizes for her overreaction. He drawls they need to get the kids together and exits. JJ emerges with his book and innocently asks about Uncle Lucas. Jen wants to have a word about him summoning Lucas. He mutters he wants to visit Will. Jen suggests next time he come to her. Of course he can go see Will. They will try this temporary ungrounding. JJ is grateful and even more so that he can also stop to get a coffee on the way. She informs him he must carry his phone with him so she will be able to reach him at all times. JJ lifts her up in a bear hug and offers to also buy some groceries. She agrees, adds she loves him, and leaves for the office. JJ waits until the door shuts, then calls Rory. He hopes he has the stuff cos he is ready to party hearty!
- At the hospital, proud papa Dan shows Maxine a picture of Parker the little surfer man on their holiday. One of the nurses spies a pic of shirtless Dan too and calls him the hottest surgeon around. Theresa appears and stares. She then gets intercepted by Anne, who orders her to her office. She is ready to lay down the law. "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM!" She
is HR and no one - not even the chief of staff - is above her. Theresa
gets sarcastic. Anne needs her paperwork and leers no processing, no pay. She expects to see her skinny rear end in her office in ten minutes! Exit the haughty HR diva. Theresa searches for a match, a cigarette in her mouth. Hope yanks it out and sternly reminds her there is no smoking here! And she heard her with the HR woman. Paperwork is a necessary annoyance, she cannot escape it Theresa gets shrill. Hope leans against
the desk and explains she has discussed her with her mother. Theresa would rather talk about Sami or Hope’s daughter. She snaps she does
not want to be a phony and act like she feels a way she does not, cares
for people she does not like!
- Abe is curious about what weights heavy on Cam’s mind. Cam will only say it is a patient. Abe suggests he slip away to join Chad, Abigail, and Theo on their park picnic. Cam replies he is rather busy here today.
- Abe now goes to pick up his son, who alas has lost the elusive frog. He must escort him to speech therapy. The commissioner tells his son that Cam regretted he could not be here. Chad makes a snide remark. Abigail and Chad say their goodbyes and father and son depart. Abigail muses
she can see how much Chad loves his little nephew. She does not often get to see that side to him. Chad marvels that Theo’s heart is pure and his I love you is always sincere. Abigail thinks that is in part thanks to Lexie. She now asks about his recent run-in with Stefano DiMera the great and powerful. Chad would rather not discuss and invites her to hang out, after he checks on the coffee house renovations. She is interested until ... Cam calls Chad to say they must follow up on his test results. Chad drawls he would rather wait until next week. No can do. Abigail demurely folds the picnic blanket and insists he follow up. She thanks him for the very fun outing. With stars in her eyes, she kisses his cheek and walks away. Chad watches after her with a goofy grin.
- Eric is admittedly worried about his brother but all they can do is pray.
It is not their place to try and interfere. Nicole rages they already bore witness to what Kristen did to Brady. Eric gasps the heart wants what the heart wants and that cannot be changed. It is the way it works, is it not?
He meets Nicole's gaze.
- JJ ends up in the school hall, leaving a message for his mom, thanking her. Pal Rory hands him a calculator, implies the stuff is in the battery compartment, and laughs idiotically. He is not laughing when he admits the guy who sold him the stash was creepy, though. He is out of this party! JJ does not seem to care.
- Back at the hospital PR office, Hope warns Theresa that the perps she meets up with are people who have blown all their chances and offers
of help. Therefore, she should not push people wanting to help away. Theresa snaps she happens to make her own chances in life. Meanwhile Maxine advises busy Dan to let nature take its course. There is simply
no denying he and Jen were amazing together. Jen arrives and walks past. Dan sighs he agrees with Maxine, but nothing can be done. Jen primly arrives at her office. Theresa waltzes off to HR, claiming she and Hope were just catching up. Jen assures Hope that Theresa is starting to do her job. She can pass it on to Kim for her latest report. Otherwise she is
busy. Hope refuses to let her keep throwing away what she had with
Dan. Jen retorts her son must come first and urges her to respect her decision. Hope muses she sounds just like Jack and she did not put up with his kind of nonsense so why should Daniel? They exchange I love yous and cousin Hope goes on her way.
- JJ asks Rory for his phone so he can call Theresa without Jen seeing his number. He now has a look at the tube of white powder between the two batteries and smirks. Meanwhile Theresa gets the directions to medical records from a gossipy nurse. She brings up not knowing everyone’s name and asks about the doc with the picture. The gossip muses that is Dr. Jonas. Is he gay? No and he had a scandalous relationship recently. Maxine orders the nurse to get back to work. Dan walks by. Theresa starts to follow him like an alley cat. He does not seem to notice.
- HR Anne storms into Jen’s office and demands to known where her assistant has gone now. Jen quips it is not her problem but the HR queen disagrees.
- When Hope appears at the rectory, Nicole scurries off, relieved to have an excuse. Hope bears Ciara’s medical forms for the new school. Eric wonders about Sami. Hope saw her briefly and she seems safe. She starts to leave for the station but the holy man wants a word and it is personal
in nature. In fact, it is a private matter. Hope promises to keep this between them. He murmurs it concerns him and parish secretary Nicole. Might she have inappropriate feelings for him? Hope believes Nicole is truly trying to be who she says. However, a while back she wanted to leave town, then stayed after he was attacked. Eric notes her being there is a struggle. Hope suggests the struggle could really be how she feels about him. Her woman’s intuition has noticed the way she looks at him! That is her answer. Eric blinks and appears to blush.
- Theresa is outside the pub when JJ finally reaches her. He is sitting on
a bench, the tube of cocaine in hand, and boasts he has what she wanted. Pause. She glances at Dan, who is inside the pub, and quips she is busy, she has a date. Click! After the call, JJ stands up in a huff and bumps into Nicole, who yells he should watch where he is going! In the commotion, the cocaine has fallen to the ground. JJ is not sure what to do next.
- Jen leaves Theresa a voice mail that she and Anne are trying to find her. What is she doing?
- Theresa flounces into the pub approaches Dan the man’s table. She smiles a flirty smile as he reads the menu alone. "We meet again!"
Dan looks up.
- Chad suspects Cam is attempting to cut into his alone time with the fair Abigail but Cam explains that is not the case at all. This is a very serious! Chad freezes ...
