Maggie and Brady meet up at the Kiriakis door. Before they go inside Brady confirms they have a new nanny. Maggie wishes Theresa would leave soon. But they both suspect that one is still stuck to the sofa like glue ...Inside Theresa is interested in cooing to Tate, until she realizes he needs a diaper change. Then she hollars for nanny Emma to come down and do her job. Tate wails. Brady and Maggie enter, having overheard ... In the park, Victor's nephew grovels for his life. He will do anything Uncle wants! A thug appears and Victor cackles as he is tossed his new casual clothes. Zander's new duties are a far cry from the high life he used to enjoy ...Clyde is at the town square, talking tough with hospital lab head Martin on the phone. He threatens to send another fake inspector to his family. Martin stammers Kayla has not come with the samples yet. Clyde continues to threaten until Ben greets him. Then he turns around and appears relieved Ben did not hear his conversation. He makes light of it and Ben shares his news, that he gave the ring to Abigail as advised. Clyde grins he senses that girl will say YES sooner than his son thinks ... At DiMera mansion, Stefano the great and powerful presides over his chess set, smiling as Chad confidently concludes the deal of his career over the phone. Father phoenix claims that confidence must have come from his candid conversation with the girl he loves, which he wants to hear all about. He teases if he does not tell him everything, he is not above putting spies into place ... Abigail is at the apartment, filled with angst. Kayla calls and she promises to be there. Today is D Day. The daddy of her baby will become known. Kayla can hear her anguish and assures her she is a strong loving young woman with many who love her as well. She will be alright no matter who the daddy is .... Abigail ends the call, flashes back to both Chad and Ben's recent revelations, and eventually exits, leaving Ben's ring behind ... Kyle dismisses the notion of anyone being in his place and points out he has no roommate. Must have been the neighbor's loud TV. Paige has something to show him and they sit on the sofa. JJ grimaces ... Theresa tells Tate she is sorry and explains to solemn Brady and Maggie that her ankle hurts. Maggie takes the bawling baby. Theresa complains Maggie was cold. Brady snaps she was not. Theresa innocently insists she wants to move out as soon as possible. Maggie returns and informs her Emma is taking Tate to the garden. Theresa gets on her crutches and hobbles out. Maggie strongly suggests Brady check her doctor's report. Brady realizes the timing is too coincidental but stops short of discussing anything drastic. Victor makes his grand entrance, announcing he has come up with the perfect solution ... Chad is no longer smiling. In fact he is seething as he states he intends to be honest and open with Abigail should she choose him. Stefano bursts out laughing that his son actually believes husbands and wives must be honest with one another. Chad exclaims he is not EJ. If chosen, he intends to warn the fair Abigail about Stefano seeking her Irish inheritance land. That land does not belong to the DiMeras and he will tell her so! Stefano's eyes darken dangerously. He warns Chad that he would counter with something that would cause him to lose her. Some secret information about his past no one in Salem knows ... Stefano's Threat! As Paige shows Kyle a website with vocational training he could take, he slides closer. She adds one would be perfect for him. He murmurs she is perfect and steals a kiss and another one and another one. JJ is ready to explode behind said sofa ... Clyde finds out from Ben that Abi had not left the apartment before him and asks him to track her with his app. Abigail is now at the hospital ... In fact she is Kayla's office. Kayla takes the samples, reminding her this will all be anonymous ... Victor's eyes dance with delight as he informs Maggie and Brady of what his solution is. Zander, the nephew from hell, is let in clad in casual clothes. Brady protests. Victor points out he could not let him go homeless until his court date so he is staying here as a landscaper. Maggie and Brady do not understand the method to his madness. Victor sends Zan out into the hall, then explains he is expected to be sent to the slammer once Roman et al have compiled a case against him. This is his way of keeping an eye on him to ensure he does not escape justice, plus he will humiliate him. Brady thunders what the hell was he thinking, he does not want his son endangered in this house! ... Out in the hall, Theresa recognizes Zander. He checks her out with a naughty grin ... Paige and Kyle are soon lying on the sofa. She stops, out of breath. Kyle plays along and promises to look at the site. Paige hopes he will call and departs. Luxury loving Kyle does not seem to notice the extra keys are missing. He curses the crystal on his watch got scratched. JJ waits with bated breath, as quiet as a Horton mouse. Kyle gets a call from his contact, laughs about playing the girl who believes him, and agrees to meet up. When he has gone, JJ peaks out the door and decides the coast is clear. He takes off in a hurry ... Clyde gets the text he has been waiting for after Kayla hands Martin the secret samples in the lab. But Martin must step out minutes later, having been summoned by the hospital administrator to discuss a donation ... Theresa has a good laugh upon learning that Zander is the new Kiriakis gardener. Victor takes a look at her cast and quips her kneecaps should have come first ... Brady gets in Zander's silent face and rages he had better stay away from his son OR ELSE ... Chad stands up, scowling at Stefano for his threat. He will tell Abigail about her land. Stefano snaps then he will lose her. Chad storms out. Stefano is soon on the phone, insisting the Irish land is important and MUST be his ... Victor kicks Zander out to be shown his quarters by the caretaker ... Maggie questions the wisdom of his plan but Victor will not back down ... Abigail is torn between thoughts of Chad and Ben... The lab assistant enters and realizes Martin did not have the chance to do the test, and is still away from his desk. She takes it upon herself to finish the test for him ... Kayla gets the call that the test results are in ... Abigail takes a deep breath ... Once outside, Zan is handed a large shovel by Victor's goon caretaker. His first order is to shovel tons of horse manure ... Theresa plays up being worried about Zander being near Tate and tells Brady to protect him. She cries like a female and finds herself in his strong arms being consoled ... JJ spies Paige at the square and calls her stupid for trusting Kyle. She counters her life is not his business. JJ warns her some people never change, just look at him, and she wonders. It sounds almost as if he overheard her with Kyle ... Ben is getting coffee at the club, talking on his phone about the shifts he covered. He is in good humor until Chad asks him for a word about Abigail. The he glowers at his competitor ...Clyde waits for an update near the town square ... Martin is back at the lab. He panics when the assistant informs him how she ran the test for him, how Kayla picked up the results 5 minutes ago ... Kayla enters her office and slowly passes Abigail the sealed envelope. Drums of doom play in the background ... THE END! |
