Marlena helps John move his boxes at the station. He is serious about leaving all his case notes with the Salem P.D.. Rafe arrives with his final paperwork. John drawls to hurry back to law enforcement.His skills are needed. Rafe is rather nervous about waiting for his last task - to get his psych evaluation. Marlena smiles she can get started on that with him now ... Eric anxiously calls Detective Hope as no one has heard from Serena, who did not come to her job at the hospital. He was listed as her emergency contact. Eric has an ominous feeling he cannot explain. Hope promises to let him know if she hears anything. Unfortunately she is unable to do more until 24 hours have passed. Then she can file a missing persons report. Aiden arrives ... Chad is groggy and perhaps still somewhat drunk when he wakes up in a big bed. The room is dark and old world. At first glance it could be a DiMera bedroom but it looks more like a hotel room. Chad has no idea of how he got there and mostly murky memories of the last 24 hours. He remembers his last talk with Abigail, the girl he loves, how Stefano threw him out after ... At Ben's apartment, the son of Clyde is in an unusually good mood as Abigail stirs in bed. He boasts he made breakfast for his princess, even going out to get her fresh muffins. Ben has been out and about. Abigail smiles and enjoys the attention. The mother-to-be is touched when he tenderly kisses her tummy ... At Horton house Jen is going over the donation page for the Horton Center with JJ when trouble comes knocking on their door. Roman and DEA Agent Watts waltz in with bad news ... Hope and Aiden share a brief kiss. She is still bothered by the fact that he has bruised ribs. He laughs only his hurt pride bothers him and asks to use her office phone to make a private call about her special surprise. She gushes and goes, assuming she is about to learn what his surprise is. Once she has left, he mutters not if he can help it and makes the call ... Paige is pleasant to Kyle when she runs into him outside and he breathes she is beautiful. She wants him to know the rumors about JJ that seem to be spreading around Salem are only rumors. Kyle claims his source was credible, a grown woman familiar with the family. He leaves and Paige starts to lose it. She panics and places a call to JJ, urging him to call her cos he is in DANGER ... Jen and JJ hear that someone is spreading a rumor about JJ brazenly dealing meth from the Horton Center. Jen is horrified and gets to work on a statement, a denial from both but Roman and Watts disagree with their involvement ... John solemnly hands Hope a file on Salem's scandalously high drug trade. He is also sharing all his case notes. Hope thinks the ISA is lucky to have their star spy back in action. She muses he and Marlena make a great team. John drawls Hope and Bo made a great team too. Hope notes not now. Now she has moved on ... Aiden is on the phone in Hope's office, making mysterious plans to ISOLATE her with him ... Chad has difficulty standing and groans. His head hurts. As the sun streams into the darkness, more memories return of drinking, Serena slapping him for grabbing her in a kiss. But what came after ...? What did he do?! Eric is standing at the square. He senses Serena is not far off but the call he gets is not from her, as he had hoped ... At Horton house, the commissioner and the DEA declare the danger would get worse for JJ by calling attention. For now they are dealing with rumors only. Jump Street JJ is ready for action but they shut him down ... Eve is pleased that Paige her daughter has arranged to meet her at the pub. Paige rages at her mother for ratting out JJ to Kyle. She made him a target! Eve explains the whole thing away as two bad boys playing dangerous games. She insists Paige stay out of it lest she become a casualty. Paige snaps if she set this up, she is going to come after her. She storms off .. Back at the apartment, Abigail has a call from unseen unheard Will. She thanks him for listening to her earlier and gushes about being completely committed to Ben and their baby. His kind behavior warms her heart ... Ben comes out of the shower in his towel and tells her he would like to shop for their baby together with a credit card from Clyde. Abigail has some things to take care of. He states then he will wait for her to be ready and he will be waiting at the hospital until she is done. Abigail does not seem to notice he now does not want to let her out of his sight. Ben has become even more controlling ... Eric now knows Serena's suitcases and her computer were not moved or touched all night. He leaves her another message, concerned cos he knows she has not left town and yet not a soul has seen her ... Chad takes a look at the man in the mirror. When Serena slapped him his lip bled. His fuzzy memories flood back and he recalls leaving the club after her but that is all. Then there is a gap until the morning but why? ... Roman and DEA Agent Watts have issued Jen and JJ their orders. For now they must wait while they try and squash the rumor. They advise them to lie low until they have heard from them and exit. JJ boasts to Jen he is close to nailing Kyle and getting Paige back. He has no intention of pulling back now. Jen is unable to convince him otherwise. Jump Street JJ is on the move again... Aiden is off the phone in Hope's office when he gets an impatient text to meet his mystery contact immediately and NOT keep them waiting. He sighs and starts to sweat. Hope steps in and wonders what is the matter. He tells a smooth story about a judge having questions before he rules but promises to see her with his surprise tonight. He kisses her and walks out. Detective Hope starts to wonder ... Chad is trying to have breakfast with coffee inside the square. He is seated by the window and watches as Abigail and Ben arrive, arm-in-arm. Ben bought a gift for the baby and seems to be boasting and holding his fiancee close just for Chad to see. They kiss in bliss ... Eric calls Serena again and hears the sound of a ringing phone. He steps away from the square and spies her phone. He then takes another step and comes across her lifeless form. She is on her back staring from the flowers, clad in the same dress she was wearing the night before. Her face looks like a beautiful doll. Eric gasps in horror ... JJ and Paige meet up at the town gate. She tells him someone ratted him out to Kyle ... Julie and Maggie are most concerned when they come to Horton House. Jen insists the rumors are false and insists she resign from Horton Center to spare them of the bad publicity. With a hug, she then sends Maggie and Julie back to the center, assuring them there is more to this than meets the eye. The truth will come out ... Agent Watts has phoned to warn Jen about the article now in circulation. Once again, do nothing ... Chad has seen quite enough and storms outside. Ben turns Abigail to look in a boutique window. He smirks as Chad vanishes from view ... Back at the station, ISA John assures Hope she knows where to reach him. Rafe returns with Marlena, having aced his psych evaluation. Hope now gets a shocking call from Eric, who finds it hard to say the words that he found Serena in the park and she is dead. Hope exclaims what???? Hawkish John and Rafe watch and wait. Marlena blinks ... JJ promises Paige he has it covered with Kyle. But she must stay away from him to let him finish what he started. Paige kisses him, calls him brave. Then she pretends to leave. Jump Street JJ turns and heads into the danger, not realizing Paige is right behind him ... Roman gets Rafe in his office to let him know he has his eye on him but he had better go by the book this time. He welcomes him back to the Salem P.D. ... Chad returns to his dark room and decides to keep going with his booze breakfast. He drinks to numb the darkness of his life, not realizing it is about to get even darker. Chad has a bender on the brain. He turns on the TV and sits down to drown his sorrows, only to hear the most horrifying announcement ... BREAKING NEWS! THE END! Ahead on Days: Patch is at the hospital! Caroline fears for Bo. Hope gets a proposal. |
