ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. Link Only! POWER PLAYS Friday, August 14, 2015 Episode 12,655 Beware of copycats. These are my words. There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... JJ dutifully presents DEA Agent Watts with the pictures he took of Kyle's clandestine fund boxes and the serial numbers. He lies he took them when Kyle was in the bathroom. Agent Watts approves, but Roman voices his displeasure about two things. Number one: JJ went rogue. Number two: He is really in this investigation cos Kyle happens to be hanging around his EX! That makes it personal. JJ learns anything personal can lead to questions of evidence tampering and give the defense attorney in a case a great opening to cast doubt. JJ argues he and Paige are done. Roman just wants JJ to be done as far as the DEA goes but Watts will not give up so easily ... Outside the club, demurely dressed Paige gets a call from Kyle, who thinks they should meet so he can return her tablet to her. She replies she presently has plans. Kyle is charming as ever so she agrees he can call her in an hour ... Mama Adrienne visits Sonny at the apartment. As he tidily puts away Arianna's toys, she expresses her upset over his nightclub attack, then asks what Paul was doing there. Sonny pleasantly points out Will arranged the get-together so they can all be friends ... Paul has Will in his hotel room under false pretenses. He pretends to have a hot story in mind. Will is all ears. Paul proceeds to tell the sordid tale of what a certain writer did. Will realizes he is referring to him and acts indignant. The former baseball player is blunt. I KNOW WHAT YOU DID! Will reacts with Sami-esque innocence over any wrongdoing... Paige has accidentally overheard Jen discussing the big wedding with Abigail on the phone. She gets worried ... Ben has a nightmare about finding Abigail in bed with Chad, wishing her baby belonged to him. Ben wakes up alone in bed, growls, and goes to the shower ... Abigail comes back to the apartment, on her phone convo with Jen, who wants to help plan the wedding. Abigail admits she has no date as of yet. Big wet Ben emerges from the shower shirtless and agrees they need to set a date SOON. Abigail tries to act like all is well but Ben is gruff at best. He denies anything is the matter and then drops a bombshell on her ... At DiMera mansion Chad shouts at Shin over the phone. He enters the living room where Stefano is seated. Father Phoenix suspects he is scowling up a storm since he lost the fair Abigail and advises him to go to her. Surely he would win against that big piece of brainless beef she is with ...Chad snaps at Stefano for wanting her Irish land and refuses to do as suggested. Stefano cannot comprehend when his offer to OFF Ben is refused. Chad barks back ... Chad's shocking statement about DiMera men! Preoccupied Paige is at a table with Daphne at the club. She does not seem to hear a word her friend says, then greets Jennifer. She wonders whether she was discussing Abigail getting married earlier. Jen confirms her daughter is engaged. Paige wonders whether JJ knows. Indeed. Jen uncomfortably excuses herself. Prim Paige gets to thinking and also takes off ... Adrienne finds it odd that Will wants to be friends with Paul and warns her son to stay away from his ex. Sonny is not surprised by her reaction. Adrienne goes on to suggest if he spends time with Paul, he might be compelled to compare him to Will and question the choice he made. Sonny lets out a sigh ... Will condescendingly claims he was merely trying to help Derek. Paul exclaims he could have him fired for violating his confidence. Why did he do it? Will exclaims cos he knows he still loves Sonny ... Adrienne is rather relieved to learn Derek was with Paul, but bothered by the fact that Paul made a point of later telling Sonny they were not serious. All the signs are there that Paul still loves him. Sonny dismisses the notion ... As Commissioner Roman continues to cry foul, JJ states his case to the DEA boss. He promises to follow protocol. Ring ring! Tis Kyle. JJ is told to take the call and so he does ... Paige follows Jen all the way home to Horton house, where she warns her that JJ is hanging around a dealer called Kyle. He might create chaos at his sister's wedding! Jen diverts her gaze and patiently explains she spoke to her son, who denied doing anything illegal. As a mother she believes him. Paige calls her clueless ... Chad storms out, still sulking. Stefano sighs at his son's petulance and decides to take matters into his own powerful hands ... Ben announces he and Abigail should move to Santa Monica to raise their baby. Abigail is caught off guard. He adds Clyde could even help them afford a house there. She stammers Salem is her home ... Adrienne gets Sonny to admit he has some feelings for his old flame but he is committed to working out his marriage with Will. She adds it is alright to yearn for more. Sonny snaps that must be what she thought when she cheated on his dad, then apologizes. Adrienne admits the pair were at a problematic empty place in their relationship. She wishes way better for him. However, if things are NOT like that for him and Will, she wishes the best for them both ... As Will rehashes Paul's past with Sonny, Paul snaps he went and married the first guy who came along after he said no. Oops. Paul seems to regret letting that slip. Will accuses him of still being in love with and after his hubby. They bicker some more about Sonny until Paul questions how Sonny would feel if he found out what Will had done. He opens the door and shuts it behind Will after he walks out ... Kyle thinks it would be a good idea to meet. JJ pretends to be at work and wants to call him back. Jump Street JJ is still on the job! Roman tells off the DEA agent for putting him at risk before he is ready, not even letting him wear a wire ...Paige states she actually saw JJ at the drug dealer's place. Jen notes Paige should not have been there ... JJ gets to Kyle's apartment. Kyle wants his client list. Done, Kyle gets a call and steps into another room. JJ snoops around and cleverly unlocks a window. Oooooo ... Chad sits all alone at the pretty park. He catches sight of a kissing couple and gets glum, then ignores an incoming call from Stefano the great and powerful ... Sonny is seated on his sofa, tablet in hand, a faraway look in his eye ... The more Ben speaks of moving away now, the more he likes it. Not Abigail, though. The son of Clyde insists she think it over regardless ... Kyle comes back and lets JJ know he will get in touch when he needs him that is all for now. JJ exits cool as a cucumber, but not before noticing that Paige's tablet was in Kyle's possession ... Will returns to the apartment, interrupting Sonny's thoughts. Will is glad they are alone and gets straight to the point. He feels the need to tell him something. Sonny watches with expressive eyes as Will stammers he helped Derek. It was no big deal but Derek wanted help with Paul and since they are both single, Will wanted to help with a few details he knew about Paul from his interview - details that did not get included in his article. Sonny questions why he is telling him this now ... Paul paces his hotel room. He has Sonny on his mind and suddenly decides to do something about it. He grabs his keys and gets going ... Chad stands up at the park, only to come face to face with Ben. If looks could kill ... Paige reminds Jen that JJ will work her and he is in deep with Kyle the dealer so he could go to jail. JJ appears, having returned home and soap stares. "Paige!" Jen and Paige turn around ... Abigail happily takes the congratulatory flowers Dan left her at the hospital and heads into her office. Stefano is already waiting for her inside. "Hello Abigail!" She stops in her tracks. The dapper don observes her with his crafty eyes ... THE END! |
