Dan dutifully returns home from seeing off Chloe and Parker. Nicole shares her worry that Serena will use saving Caroline to worm her way back to Eric! Dan would rather make out and starts to unzip ze dress. Ding dong! Tis Jen bearing an engagement gift bag for the happy couple ... Brady calls brother Eric to meet now but Eric explains he must first finish taking care of something at the club. They can see each other soon at the pub. After the call, Serena, sitting at his club table, wonders how Eric feels about her ... Zan is at the Kiriakis barn, shirtless, hot, and seductively sweaty. The flowers are done - at least until he reads the note from Victor to re-pot them all with the necessary stones at the bottom. Zanimal growls and throws a pot against the wall, his eyes most murderous ... Zander's evil intent! Theresa is on the telephone with sister Eve, who is surprised Brady is letting her stay for Tate's sake ... Rafe has followed Kate all the way to the town gate, where he gets testy about her comment and demands clarification. Kate sighs it was a reference to his feelings for Hope, which he seems to wear on his sleeve, though she believes his feelings are not returned by the dedicated detective. Kate acts sympathetic about that but Rafe accuses her of being angry about her dangerous boyfriend. He wishes she would see Clyde for the creepy criminal he was ... Hope approaches Abe at the hospital, asking to launch an official investigation into Clyde Weston. Abe would need probable cause cos Clyde is now known for his huge hospital donation ... Aiden acts disinterested when he comes across Clyde waiting in his office. He asks him what he wants. An explanation why he now refuses to represent himself and his boy Ben. Aiden assures him his confidentiality is protected by the law unless he forces him to break it. Clyde scoffs and counters he takes care of those who work for him, with emphasis on take care of. Then he creeps out ...Back at the mansion, Brady's meeting has been cancelled so Theresa tries to talk to him about Tate's schedule. Brady loses his cool and coldly reminds her he wants NO direct contact. She can speak to Emma, who will pass it on to him. She proceeds to protest. The billionaire heir blasts her again for her lies and fumes she can never fix the trust she broke ... Nicole and Dan gush, grateful for Jen's gift. Jen smiles Abi is also engaged - to Ben - and suggests Dan go see her at the hospital. She wants a word with Nicole so Dan departs ... Back at their club table, Eric chooses his words with caution as Serena waits with bated breath ... Wet shirtless Zander gets back to gardening outside the Kiriakis front door. He is not an easy sight to ignore on this hot summer day ... Nicole finds it a tad uncomfortable to be alone with Dan's ex- girlfriend. Jen declares Dan is now her dear friend and she is busy with drama of her own. She lets Nicole know she understands her past problems stemmed from the stress of losing her own child. It is her hope that she will shower Parker with all her maternal love. Nicole is over the moon and still sorry about the past. She feels the future is bright for her as far as female friends go, cos she is now good with Jen as well as Chloe ...Eric breathes he will always be grateful for Serena saving his beloved grandmother. She sadly states she still loves him. He slowly states they are over. Serena sighs he still loves Nicole. The former father pauses ... Kate suspects Jordan poisoned Rafe against Clyde though Rafe knows no details of their drama, only what he himself senses about that sinister one. Clyde shows up and Kate suddenly acts like they are arguing about Arianna and Gabi. Clyde wonders. Rafe snaps to mind his own business, mutters to Kate he meant what he said, and saunters off ... Hope pays Aiden an unexpected visit at his office .. Eric informs Serena of what a fellow father once told him - that time heals all pain. Naturally he knows Nicole is with Dan now and wishes only peace for each and every one of them. He goes on to suggest she stay in Salem to finish her research, not run off on his account. Serena senses an eventual opening and cries and thanks him. They hug as she weeps. Dan walks in and soap stares at the scene ... Theresa tries to take Tate's carriage out the front door for some fresh air at the park. Zander stops to give her the eye and she haughtily makes him clear the path, adding he should put a shirt on. Zander stands by the flowers, furious ... Aiden is decidedly distracted and stops Hope from asking anything about the case he and John conversed about. Hope understands. He claims to be behind with his work. She claims to want a kiss so they smile and smooch. Aiden turns away to take a call about a motion he must file. Hope raises an eyebrow and spies a file with Clyde's name on the desk ... Clyde gets snarky about Rafe and who the hell he thinks he is. Kate reminds him they share a romantic history. Clyde makes a snide remark and admits he has been very busy. Kate offers to help. Clyde is clearly not keen on any help so Kate claims she cannot meet him tonight as planned, given she has a long distance late night work call. Clyde makes a snide remark about hurting her feelings ... Eric repeats how grateful he is to Serena for saving Caroline and leaves the club. Serena sees Dan and tearfully tells the medicine man she is so lucky Eric does not loathe her. However, she has a favor to ask ... At the square, Jen comes face to face with the dastardly developer who intends to oust the Horton Center. They have words and she vows to mobilize all of Salem against the sleaze. He hands her his card and she tosses it in the trash. After they go their opposite ways, Eve the eavesdropper emerges. She reaches for the card of Jen's enemy, a wicked look in her eye ... Serena shares her good news of Eric not minding her staying in Salem to finish her work. However, she seeks Dan's assurance that he will not ever tell either Eric or Nicole that she secretly recorded his confession session. Dan agrees it is best left unsaid, he has not changed his mind, and she hugs him with relief. Nicole steps in, notices the hug, how Serena says thank you to Dan, and steps back, concealing herself. When they are gone, she comes back out, a frown creasing her concerned brow ... At the pub Eric and Brady sip coffee and speak about the Theresa turmoil. Eric points out people can change. Brady quips he does not believe that of Theresa, nor does his brother deep down ... Theresa and Eve are seated together on a park bench, Tate's baby carriage before them. Theresa is feeling sorry for herself over Brady hating her, then gets an idea when Eve has a strong reaction to news of Zander the attempted murderer lurking around the mansion ... After Hope has left, Aiden gets down to business. He checks a detail in Clyde's file against what he has found online and stares in horror ... Brady comes back to the mansion and blasts Zander for standing so close to the front door. He warns him not to step inside and leers he is watching him. Zander's rage grows ... Back at the park, Theresa ignores Tate's crying, whereas Eve does not. Theresa is more interested in her new plan - to exploit Brady's worst fear about Zander getting close to Tate as well as his mommy ... Jen now sits with Eric at the pub. She has heard how Serena helped Caroline. Eric admits he is extremely grateful ... Clyde makes a comment about Kate's curiosity and conduct, claiming he still considers them a great team. Then he walks away ... Rafe returns to the square, only to see Hope sitting all alone. She looks glum. Rafe glumly remembers Kate warning him the dedicated detective does not feel the way he does ... Aiden anxiously places Clyde's confidential file in his briefcase, snapping it shut. He spies a certain someone calling him and tells himself that is a call he certainly cannot take, given the timing... THE END! Ahead on Days: Abigail does not agree with Ben. Paul wants Will to know he knows what he did! Roman gets JJ's game. Sonny gets marital advice from his mom. |
