At the Kiriakis mansion, Brady ends a call with an update for Maggie on the state of Caroline. They breathe a sigh of relief she is better. But something else weighs heavy on the billionaire heir's mind. How do you solve a problem like Theresa? It troubled him to hear her tell Caroline how lost she was. He updates the redhead on his realization that the cast was a con. She advises him to kick her out as he wanted but Brady laments he could lose in that situation since Theresa is Tate's mother. He complains about her only contacts being her psycho sister and Anne the HR horror. The only way he will feel Tate is safe is if she stays at the mansion. Otherwise she would have time on her own with Tate. Maggie tells him to be firm with her in that case ... Caroline wakes up to find tormented Theresa at her side, where she has stayed all night. The matriarch wonders where her crutches went. Theresa lies about the intern overreacting to her ankle, though she is sincere when she states how worried she was ... Marlena is all smiles as Sonny speaks with her at the apartment, grateful for the last minute babysitting. She smiles about him and Will going to see Caroline together and asks how things fare. Sonny feels pretty good. Will likes his therapist and even arranged for them to socialize with Paul and Derek. Sonny would like them all to be friends, especially with Paul. Marlena is somewhat surprised. Sonny will be meeting Will at the hospital and appears not to know where his hubby is at the moment. Arianna calls for daddy from the other room. Marlena sweetly assures Sonny she can handle it and he departs lest he be late ... Meanwhile Will meets with downtrodden Derek at the park. Will is furious to find out there is nothing to report. Derek drawls it is not his fault Paul is still hung up on Sonny. Will is in angry denial ... John and Paul are enjoying a father/son breakfast outdoors at the square. It is pleasantly serene - at least until Kate slinks over and lets it slip that Paul is seeing Derek. She teases Paul about his new boyfriend and mentions finding them together. John purses his roguish lips. Paul points out his personal life is none of Kate's business. John takes her aside for a private word ... Rafe growls to visitor Hope that the nightclub is currently closed. She wants to discuss Clyde. Rafe refuses - until she updates him on Aiden firing his illustrious client. He had no idea ... Attorney Aiden quietly shreds the contents of Clyde's file. Something on a page catches his eye and then another page and another ... Meanwhile Clyde is outside on his phone, ordering his flunky to find dirt on Aiden Jennings or face the consequences. And he is not a man who minces words ... John thinks Kate should give it a rest. She assures him she is happy Paul has someone to keep him away from Will and Sonny, just as John must be, and goes on her elegant way ... John sighs and sits back down at the table. Paul realizes Kate was being protective of Will. John, however, is more interested in hearing all about Derek. Paul dismisses it since he thinks there is nothing special to say ... Will gets stressed as Derek makes him see what Derek has seen in Paul's words and longing looks - he still loves Sonny and wishes he had married him. Will almost implodes ... Theresa laments only Caroline understands her. Caroline tells her to go home to Tate, who really needs her. Theresa hesitates ... Will worries that Derek might tell others about the private Paul file he shared with him. Derek assures him he is grateful and it goes no further. He wants to try again with Paul, whom he liked at first sight. Will softens and suggests he go slow. That might just work ... Rafe catches himself and stops speaking about all things Clyde. Hope urges him to tell her what he knows and could know from Victor's side. Alas Aiden refused to reveal why he fired his client! Rafe sternly tells her to let it go and walks away. Hope is exasperated ... John jokes he will stay out of his son's personal life. He has been down that road many times and it bugged Brady. Paul now informs him he is not comfortable calling him John as they have become closer. John grins, much moved. Dad it is! Paul grins too ... Kate drops by the Wilson apartment to visit with Arianna, surprised to find Marlena babysitting. She apologizes for bothering her with their conversation about Clyde. Marlena is sweetly sympathetic to her situation. Kate sighs Clyde is yet another dangerous man, perhaps the one who will break what is left of her heart ... Will and Sonny sweep into Caroline's room, all smiles. She means a great deal to them both and is someone who has always been on their side. So says Sonny. Will is relieved she is in fine form. Theresa has departed, having been told to go home to Tate. At the mansion front door, she pauses, uncertain of the reception she will get from Brady. Then she goes in and slowly climbs the staircase until ... Paul meets Derek at the pub, pleased he texted him as he feels they need to talk ... Marlena lets Kate know she approves of her self-analysis and gives her a rather cryptic pep talk. Kate thanks her for listening. Anytime and the blonde means it ...Brady asks Theresa to come downstairs for a candid conversation. She slinks into the living room and they both sit down. Brady can barely look in her direction and lets her know how it is going to be from now on ... Paul implies there is no real relationship between himself and Derek. Derek decides that is fine and encourages him to talk about his breakfast with his father. Paul feels positive about his proud papa. Derek muses his dream might come true about playing ball with his pop at Golden Gate park. Paul pauses. How did HE know that??? Derek does his best to do damage control but it is no use. Paul is smarter and senses a scheme. He knows he did not tell Derek and that information was not included in his interview. Derek comes clean about Will helping him with his crush by sharing his personal file. Paul bellows UNBELIEVABLE! ... Aiden has asked John to join him in his office. He was wondering what the timeline was with the increase in drug dealing last fall. John was on the case. John will double check the dates and get back to him. Aiden is grateful and plays it cool so John does not suspect he is doing his own sleuthing ... Clyde catches up with cool Kate at the club. He coos he missed her last night. She explains she had a meeting. He warns not to make a habit of it and steps away for another secret phone call. Kate fumes ... After asking about Caroline, Brady is ready to get straight to the point. Theresa suspects he is kicking her out and cringes. In fact Brady invites her to stay, since he does not trust her to have Tate at another location on her own. This is solely for his son. He coldly adds he wants nothing to do with her and will never forgive her for making him lose Melanie. He walks away and Theresa slowly stands. She smiles and feels like doing a victory dance ... Will and Sonny are going to bring Arianna next time. Alas the reunion must end when the nurse enters, explaining the patient needs her rest ... As Aiden stares at his Clyde file, Clyde excuses himself from his lady and states he will see her tonight. Kate raises her diva head in defiance LIKE HELL! Rafe perks up from his seat, having overheard ... Will and Sonny arrive home and Sonny takes sweetie in his arms. All is well with Caroline. Sonny takes Ari in the other room for a change and Will watches all smiles. Marlena asks how things fare. Will has a very good feeling about the future of him and Sonny ... Clyde thinks he will be able to smooth things over with his paramour later. Rafe approaches and hopes she has come to her senses about Clyde the criminal. Kate hisses at least SHE is not mooning over someone who is not even available and she is pretty sure he knows who she means! Speechless Rafe looks like he has been slapped ... John and Hope walk and talk with their coffees outside. He is looking forward to reading her notes on a politician's case, then asks her to tell Aiden the next little league game will be at the middle school. He forgot to mention it when they met earlier. Hope senses a hot lead. They met earlier? Hope learns a secret! Aiden opens the door to his office, only to find Clyde making himself at home with a file, his feet on his desk. He sarcastically greets his ex lawyer as Aiden watches and waits for his next move ... THE END! Ahead on Days: Theresa plays with fire! Hope intends to investigate Clyde's drug link. Kate and Rafe continue that conversation ... |
