Maggie appears at Dan's door and Nicole must inform her Dan is not at home. The redhead realizes he is bothered about the Zander situation, as is she ... Dan stares down his Greek godfather at the house of Kiriakis. He knows he is playing GOD with Zander and demands to know more about their mysterious connection. Victor smoothly dances around Dan's questions, then gets a call that makes his face fall ... At the hospital Kayla profusely thanks Serena for saving sweet Caroline. Serena assumes Eric would rather she leave but he stops her ...Abi steps up to the Horton front door, where JJ finds her outside in tears. She cries they are not sad tears and flashes her ring with the big engagement news. JJ is happy for her but somewhat surprised, Jen opens the door and Abigail now announces to her as well. Jen pauses, then congratulates her. Abigail sits down and gasps there is more. She sighs and stammers as Jen and JJ wonder what has the bride-to-be so rattled ... Clyde confers with Ben over ale outside the club. He congratulates his boy on his engagement, and even more so when Ben notes she is also pregnant. Ben is bothered by the timing. The fiancee is 8 weeks pregnant and was with Chad DiMera exactly 8 weeks ago so how the hell does he know it is his! His temper is starting to show. Papa Clyde insists Abigail the honest would have told the truth. Ben curses again and alludes to Abigail needing to keep up appearances by showing her baby was not a DiMera ... Victor numbly updates Dan on Caroline ... Hope is hugging Roman as they watch Caroline. Aiden stands off to the side. Dr. Kayla comes in to check on the Salem patient, who has woken up and is her usual sassy self. Kayla clears the room to let the Salem patient rest. Roman intends to call Sami and Will with the good news. Hope hugs the matriarch whose son she used to be married to ...Serena admits to Eric it was no coincidence she was with Caroline when she collapsed. She had asked her a favor - to hand Eric this last letter. She gives it to him and he gets to reading her goodbye note ... Nicole agrees it is awful that Zanimal could get away with attempted murder. Maggie understands Victor wants to keep an eye on him until the cops build their case against him. Nicole notes he wants to protect the family. The redhead would rather pursue a more positive topic of conversation - that is, the planning of her engagement party! Nicole is grateful she is pretending not to mind her and does not blame her if she harbors a grudge. She herself has been unable to forgive the dreadful things she did to Jen. In a moment of candor, Maggie muses she used to consider Dan a dog, which he was, but then he changed. People can change. She lets Nicole know she wants her to be part of the family and Nicole becomes emotional ... Back at the hospital, Hope explains to attentive Aiden that her in-laws still mean a great deal to her. They share a kiss and she admits she would never go against the wishes of Caroline ... Serena sighs she is leaving Salem as she screwed everything up. Eric wonders whether she really wants to leave town ... Victor sneaks into Caroline's room and they share a few heartfelt words ... Victor with Caroline Eric sympathetically suggests the dust might settle from Serena's drama. She dramatically declares her reason for leaving is due to the fact that HE despises her. Eric blinks ... Dr. Dan is shocked when Kayla informs him that Serena saved Caroline ... Serena woefully wonders whether her helping Caroline has changed the way Eric feels about her ... Ben complains to Clyde that if Abigail were indeed carrying a DiMera babe, there is no way Chad would not interfere ... Back at Horton house, Abigail exclaims she is pregnant. Jen is stupefied. JJ soap stares ... Eric explains Serena should not give up her career in Salem because of him. Now he needs to see Caroline ... Jen realizes her daughter is rather overwhelmed but is she happy? Abigail goes between crying and gushing. Jen promises to accept her daughter's decision, be there to help, and asks if she has eaten. Not enough so Jen heads to the kitchen. JJ lets his sis know she has his full support and is curious. He perceived she was weeping for real. Is this really what her heart desires? Abigail claims she would have accepted Ben's proposal even if not pregnant. JJ now asks about Ben's response to her baby news ... Ben and Clyde walk into the club together, where Hope and Aiden cuddle like lovers at a table. Clyde pokes fun at the lovebirds. Aiden tells him this is neither the time nor the place, sensing trouble. Hope offers to give up her seat to the clients so Clyde enlightens her on how Mr Jennings decided to drop him and his son as clients. However, no hard feelings. Matter of fact, they are dealing with good news the rest of them will find out later. Once alone again with Aiden, she asks his reasons. Aiden explains he cannot say due to lawyer-client privilege. Hope understands and they kiss again ... Victor emerges from Caroline's room, joking she is still impossible. He now approaches Serena, announcing he will forever be grateful to her for saving Caroline. Kayla continues to give her credit. Maggie has arrived on scene. Dan is surprised by Victor's words. Serena is as well ... Eric goes in to see his grandmother, who is her usually snappy self. It makes him smile ... Dan decides to continue his conversation with Victor later but make no mistake, this is far from over ... Caroline summons Serena to her room. Eric is the messenger ... Dan heads home and enjoys a glass of wine with Nicole. They kiss on the couch and he goes to check on Parker, letting her know that Serena played a role in saving Caroline. Nicole is incensed and complains to herself how Serena will play it up to get to Eric. The idea makes her see shades of red ... Victor returns to his mansion with Mrs. Kiriakis. He gives Maggie a quick kiss and implores her to stay around a loooooong time. Maggie smiles with stars in her eyes ... Caroline thanks Serena for saving her life and now asks about that favor she needed. Serena states it was nothing and starts to go. Eric stops her. He believes that the Lord led them to this place so he would perceive things differently. However, he would need a time of reflection. He will be prepared to talk to her tomorrow so don't leave Salem yet ... Abigail admits Ben was a bit surprised but all is well. Jen returns with food for her daughter and gets excited about spoiling the baby. The three Devereaux come together for an emotional family hug ... Hope stays at the table as attentive Aiden steps away. She feels so much better not being alone anymore. Behind her another reminder of the Salem Bicentennial hangs on the wall. It is a SIGN in every sense of the word ...! THE END Ahead on Days: Paul is perturbed. Aiden snoops more than he should. Kate comes clean to Marlena. Brady wonders which is the best way ... |
