Stefano gloats over the phone about the land grab he is going to get from Ireland. The phoenix is in fine form at the macabre mansion. For now anyway ...Chad staggers into his club, only to catch sight of Abigail and besotted Ben embracing. Ben is only too pleased to point out they are engaged. Chad smugly points out there is no ring. Ben smugly puts it on her finger and rubs in their happily ever after. Chad fumes and Abigail cringes with worry but he makes no mention of their chat earlier on that day. Instead he announces their happy news with a slur and orders a bottle of bubbly. He reminds them of Salem's low success rate of marriage. Then he staggers out, acting like he does not care about Ben's gloating. Inside, however, the DiMera feels like he is dying ... At the chaotic Kiriakis mansion, Theresa gives Brady an innocent look a la Mary Pickford. She acts aghast he is loud enough to wake Tate and is kicking her out. The billionaire bellows she has played him for the last time, then demands she cut off the cast and come clean or they go to a new doctor. Theresa must take the scissors he hands her and cuts off the cast in defeat...Zander glares at Nicole with his evil eyes and corners her at the park, leering the lying beech ruined his life. Nicole reminds him this is a public place, so he cannot hurt her here ... Eric catches up with Dan at the hospital to discuss certain matters. The medicine man assumes he means Serena. Partly. Dan has to head to the lab but lets Eric know Serena is supposed to be leaving town soon ... Collapsed Caroline comes to, slurring her words. Serena gently comforts her and calls for paramedics. She knows the signs of a stroke ... Zan taunts Nicole for not being worth the trouble. She taunts him about his lowly new tasks for Victor and hits a nerve. The nutty Kiriakis nephew morphs into Zanimal and crouches too close for comfort, growling this is far from ova ... until Dan arrives on scene and knocks him over, growling to get away from her ... Dr. Kayla speaks with Serena the savior on a call about Caroline. Serena explains Caroline wants them to know she feels alright. Kayla credits Serena's swift action with saving her ... Victor is at the Kiriakis barn seeking Zander and cackles about the gardener boss making him pick up more fertilizer from town ... Zander tries to stand up and regain his composure. Dan rages he had warned him! Zander gets sarcastic about the medicine man's ego being the size of God's. Dan snaps to stay far from all his loved ones. Zander leers he might run into Parker at one of his play times at the mansion and exits. Nicole updates him on Victor's new role for the dangerous one at the estate. Parker arrives and they hug. Dan decides to let him play ball with Nicole a while as there is something he must attend to ... Theresa has had to confess that her leg was never broken but her motives were pure. Brady scoffs ...Back at the club, Ben wants them to enjoy the DiMera champagne as they make wedding plans. Abigail blurts out she is pregnant. Ben acts excited and asks how far along. 8 weeks. He flashes back to hearing how Chad made love to her many times once upon a night and wonders how long she has known. A while. He hopes she did not just accept his proposal because she is pregnant ... Theresa woefully states she simply wanted Tate to have a tranquil home, instead of being bounced between parents. Brady bellows this was really about getting HIM as it has always been ... Eric stops by the Brady pub for a serving of clam chowder. Papa Roman joins him at his table and Eric updates him on Serena's plans to leave Salem. Roman gives him an intense stare and wonders how he feels about that. Eric claims not to care ... Kayla is still praising Serena as Caroline is brought in on a gurney and taken for a series of tests and treatment. The matriarch could have a full recovery since Serena got to her in time ... Back at the Kiriakis barn, Victor pokes fun at Zander the slave. He innocently informs uncle he happened to run into Dan and Nicole at the park, though he had not planned to see the pair. The Greek gets gruff. He then smirks about his smell. He cackles to keep on cleaning and leaves him to it. Zander takes out an old photo of his favorite uncle and scratches the face with a deadly blade ...Stefano plays the role of the conductor at DiMera mansion, moving his conductor's stick to the opera music resonating in the room. Chad storms in, slams the door, and turns off his music. Father phoenix asks what happened with Abigail ...Brady rages at Theresa giving him a headache that makes him hate being anywhere near her. Eric arrives for a visit with the new mom and blasts Brady for not considering she is the mother of his child. Eric now gets the call about Caroline. The gang are on their way ...Chad complains cos he hurt her, now he and Abigail are finito. She did not even give him a fighting chance ... Stefano shares his DiMera wisdom Stefano on Chabbi Chad sighs but she is marrying Ben. Still Stefano refuses to give up and offers to get Ben out of the picture so the girl can come around, see the folly of her choice. Chad, however, is hurting and shouts he is OUT. He turns the melodramatic opera music back on and goes on his drunken way. Stefano clenches his fists in fury and lets out a guttural growl ... Abigail assures BEN she loves and wants to marry him. They kiss and she smiles in relief ...Serena makes herself scarce when she spies Eric come into the hospital with Brady and Theresa. Caroline has been stabilized so Theresa is allowed into her quiet room ... Kayla escorts Eric into another room to talk to him. Brady remains and peeks into Caroline's room, where tearful Theresa says something to her grandmother that really gets to him ...Nicole has summoned Roman to Dan's apartment to discuss the case against Zander. Both suspect that his companies and fake charities really belonged to Victor. As of now Roman has no proof. Nicole points out that might be best for all involved, now that she is family. After Roman departs, she decides to help Parker make something for grandpa Victor ... Dan heads to the house of Kiriakis to demand answers from Victor. The Greek gathers his godson would have preferred the loon be locked up and points out this is the next best thing. There is also a method to his madness. Dan has his doubts and lets him know he knows he is not telling him everything ... Abigail gushes about going home to tell JJ and Jen her exciting engagement and baby news. She promises to come back and celebrate. Ben grins until she leaves. The he cannot help but wonder ... Roman has received the call about Caroline's collapse and is on his way ... Eric enters a room with Kayla not pleased to perceive Serena. Kayla lets him know they may have her quick thinking to thank for saving Caroline's life. Eric pauses to consider ... Brady hears Theresa the tormented begging her grandmother to come back to her. She would be lost without her and cries she never gave up on her even though she has already given up on herself. Brady is totally torn ... THE END! Ahead on Days: Ben wonders if Chad is the daddy. Eric is grateful. Aiden's actions astonish Hope. Maggie makes nice with Nicole. |
