EJ loses, Rafe finds Sami, and more ...! - At DiMera mansion, Nicole gleefully tells sister Tay that she will surely want to hear this and adds to EJ that nothing is true forever. She explains she and EJ have had a heart to heart and decided they need to find hot sexy romance in their relationship. She announces they are leaving as a couple for their honeymoon. Tay forces a smile and drops her things. EJ bends down to help and she snaps at him not to. She excuses herself but Nicole insists she stay so she can tell her all about it! EJ stares, not sure what to do next. He stops Nicole from bothering her with any of the details. Flustered Tay takes off. EJ asks Nicole if that was necessary. Nicole innocently points out she wanted to share the news with her sister. EJ decides the gloves are off. He will no longer treat Nicole with any respect. She taunts he cannot huff and puff or blow her house down. He will simply have to stay married to her for the rest of his life! She smiles triumphantly. EJ remains tense. This is a loveless marriage. He offers her full access to the children and big money. What is her motivation to remain in a loveless marriage? She remembers him kissing her sister and quips she is not ready to give him up yet. He reminds her of her dismal attempts at blackmail. She talks evidence. He calls her a conniving b*tch no one would believe. Nicole taunts she could call Sami's Uncle Bo, who happens to be the commissioner, and tell all about what he did to Rafe! EJ stops her. He finds her unbearable when she thinks she has control! He wants to know how she knew he wanted a divorce. She airily claims woman's intuition. He admits she played her wild card and then wonders what she wants a marriage between them to look like. Monogamous. They will grow old together! He chuckles she will not be able to pull this off. She wonders if he thinks he even has a choice on the matter. Does he have a way out? EJ is silent. She laughs he is speechless. He agrees to concede to her pathetic demands - for now. She kisses him and adds they will be inseparable. He kisses her hard, his face red with anger. She calls it nice and then goes to the kitchen to fetch Sydney. They can have some family time before bedtime. Exit Nicole. Taylor enters her room and gasps this cannot be happening. She flashes back to Nicole stating that EJ could not love anyone, then remembers EJ telling her how he felt about her. She cries on her bed and flashes back to him asking her to have faith, as he promised to take care of everything. "What happened?" She puts on her scarf and wonders why his sudden reversal. Downstairs, defeated EJ woefully sighs, then remembers Taylor. He gingerly climbs the stairs to her room, knocks, and asks to come in. She allows him in. She would like him to tell her what the hell is going on! Are they really going on a honeymoon? He is not in love with Nicole, is he? He lets her know he still cares about her but must admit he is staying with Nicole. She gets upset that he made her love him. "You told me to trust you!" He promised he would ask Nicole for a divorce as it would be best for everyone. She cries now there is nothing. "You son of a b*tch! Why?!" she cries, hitting him. He is sorry.He exclaims he has done things with his family and cannot be with her. She wants to know what exactly he means and implores him to open up to her. She put it all on the line to love him and is owed an explanation. He agrees. But he cannot say more. He insists he never meant to hurt her. She bitterly calls him a coward. He whispers he is sorry. She accuses him of playing her. She was a game to him! He comforted her and assured her he would fix things so they could be together. She now calls him a liar. He earnestly states everything he told her was true and it still is. She turns away and tells him it is too late. He tries to touch her. She warns him to leave her alone, her eyes flashing with anger. EJ woefully gives her one last longing look and exits. Tay sits on the bed, covers her face with her hands, and sobs. Meanwhile, Nicole is downstairs and notices EJ is gone. She calls him a son of a bitch. She goes out for a walk on the pier, where Lexie see her. Lexie alludes to the fact that this must be a hard time for her. She knows things between her brother and her are ... Nicole smirks things are great and they are going on a honeymoon. She asks Lexie why she would think otherwise. Lexie asks if her brother knows. Nicole snaps he does and whatever she thought she knows, she does not! She excuses herself to head home for family night. When she is back she sees EJ approaching the front door and asks where he thinks he is going! - At the convent, Rafe tells the nun the key will take him where he needs to go. He had images of an apartment near the convent of the Holy Cross. He needs her help. Sister Rose agrees to take him there. He senses that place holds the key to everything. - Sami takes a deep breath and uses her key to open the door to the safe house. She walks around and has flashbacks of herself and Rafe butting heads at the beginning, when he was stuck protecting her. Shirtless, towel clad Rafe prevented her from leaving. She comes back to the present and sits down with a sigh. "He was always able to save me from myself." She laments she could not do the same for him! She flashes back to crying to Rafe about the DiMeras, who could cause her family to be destroyed. She stands up, looks out the window, and laments she wants him back! How could he have changed so much? She flashes back to patching him up, when he got his scar. He called it a memento of the time they spent together. She now remembers sponging him down until his fever broke. "I was able to save him then. Now I can't!" The man she loves is gone! She starts to walk out but drops her purse. The bank card falls out. She wonders what it is. Someone comes home across the hall with a crying baby. Sami listens as that apartment door is closed. - At the pub, Rafe 2 is determined to find out where the safe house is. When Will and Gabi enter, he lies he and his mom could lose everything if they don't help! He blew it with Sami, but believes he can fix it. He knows she is at the safe house but forgets the location. He now asks Will where it is. Will replies he does not know. Rafe 2 gets impatient. Will suggests he call Roman to ask. Rafe 2 snaps he needs fresh air, suggests he do it, and walks outside. He mumbles he needs to get that address, the bank card, and split. Gabi follows him outside and wonders what is wrong. She presses as she is his sister. He leers at her to stay out of his business and yells at the frightened girl. Will races out and stops him. He hands him the address and Rafe 2 bolts. Will comforts Gabi. What is the point anyway? His mom is miserable without the old Rafe, who is long gone. Gabi cries he is now a sick creep and she never wants to see him again. - Rafe is at the convent of the Holy Cross with Sister Rose. They meet a Sister Barbara, who does not know him, as she is new. The other nuns are on a retreat. He shows her the key and it does look familiar to her! Those keys are for the apartments nearby. Rafe gets the address and explains those evil doers could still be after him so he should go alone. He is on his way! - At the safe house, Sami flashes back to Rafe feeling her baby kick and cries they were once so happy. She cannot help him now and he does not want to help her. Nothing is the same. Sami covers her mouth with a hand and sobs. Meanwhile, Rafe is at the apartment building trying his key on a door. No luck. He hears Sami crying and tries that door. Success! - Back at the mansion, Taylor hastily packs her suitcase in her room. Downstairs, Nicole stops EJ from walking out the front door and notes he is agitated. He drawls that is because she is in his presence, saunters into the living room, and pours himself a drink. Nicole taunts it must be rough not getting what he wants. He can no longer use his children as leverage. He points out he offered her money as well. She calls him a liar and reminds him he informed Sami he wanted to make peace for the kids, while secretly ruining Rafe to make the kids hate him. He will never use her like that. She is not above taking the evidence to the cops either - and then he would lose his kids! Maid Mary enters with little Sydney, who would like daddy to read her a bedtime story. He sits her on his lap on the sofa. Nicole immediately sits beside him. He smiles while reading to his daughter. Nicole happily looks on, snuggles up to EJ, and tells Syd that everything is as it should be. Taylor has quietly come downstairs. She pauses, observing the scene, than storms out with her suitcase ... - Rafe 2 enters the convent and the nun assumes he is the Rafe she just saw. She is surprised he is back so soon. Did he find what he was looking for? - Real Rafe slowly enters the safe house. Sami, continuing the earlier argument she was having with the imposter, yells at him to get out. Real Rafe gives her a blank stare. "Who are you ...?" Next on Days of Our Lives "You’re the reason she left. She knew that you couldn't stand her!" Nicole snaps at EJ. Taylor is on her phone. "I just need to get out of Salem." Sami glares at real Rafe. "You know who I am damn it!" He gives her a bewildered look. |
