She heard she is pregnant and wants to know if she can help in any way. Mel warns her she will not get her back with Phillip, no way no how! Kate claims she just wanted to bring her a gift. Mel opens it. Tis a beautiful music box which Phillip loved when he was a baby. It put him to sleep. Kate now wants to talk about Phil and his and her baby. Mel sighs she is just as bad as her father. She suggests she leave before he comes home and kicks her out. Kate doubts it, as the doc is at the hospital. She checked. Mel becomes sarcastic that she looks into everything. Kate patiently reminds her she loved Phillip once and they created a child out of love. She hopes she does not keep her child from a parent, the way her mother did! Mel explains they will have joint custody. She now brings up Dan. Kate thinks they both want what is best for the child. Mel remains miffed. Kate wonders if she is thinking of her baby's best interests - or does she just want to get back at Phillip? It is not easy raising a child. She is sure Mel had planned to share the responsibilities with her husband. Mel agrees but adds that was before she found out he got another girl pregnant. Kate assures her that he still wants to be there for her, to love and worry about the baby they created. Mel calls that a fairytale only, cos there is another baby and another mama. "Go bug Chloe!" - Phil finds Chloe drinking at the Cheatin Heart and disapproves she is not looking after their son. She left him with Maggie. Phil insists she should not be drinking. Chloe explains she is no longer nursing. Phil gets mad about his name again and threatens to just change it. Chloe accuses him of being just like mama Kate. Over her dead body is he changing Parker's name! Phil tries to be understanding and explains she does not seem like herself. Moments later, Maggie arrives with crying Parker, who is hungry. Chloe only gave her one bottle and was supposed to pick him up over an hour ago. Phil picks up Parker, who stops crying. He finds out Chloe's phone was off and Maggie had to call around to learn where she was. Phil wants to take his son for walk. Chloe numbly agrees. He heads out with his son and Maggie asks Chloe if she is alright. - Jen sneakily lifts Ben's keys from his coat pocket. His phone rings and he reaches into the same pocket for it. Jen stares. "Oops, wrong pocket!" says Ben. He gets the phone out of the other pocket and answers. Tis the warden and she drawls he will be getting an organ shipment tonight. For sure. He cannot really talk, as he is in a public place. Meanwhile, Jen slips his keys into her purse. He gets off the phone and admits it was about a patient. He adds he is quite obsessed with his job. Jen insinuates they will have coffee soon and takes off with the keys. She laments he does not seem to be the type who is up to no good, but Hope cannot be wrong. The secret must be in that infirmary! - Rafe returns home to Sami and updates her on seeing EJ. Sami has just looked over the new custody agreement and she is optimistic. Rafe has already had a lawyer examine the document and it seems on the up and up. He adds Nicole and EJ seem to be off again, as she admitted her nanny duties were almost over. Sami is elated. They hug. Now all they need is to get it signed and notarized. Rafe assures her they will soon be a family again. They exchange I love yous. Ally has been dropped off at school. Rafe drawls they are alone and they start to kiss. Afterwards, they lie in each other's arms. "Mama!" Sami now gets dressed to see to her child ... - At DiMera mansion, EJ is on the phone with fatha, explaining he has some modifications to make to their Rafe plan. When Nicole enters, she notices he ended that call fast. She also brings up the presence of Marco, the noises in the cellar. EJ talks renovations but Nicole claims she knows what is really going on! He asks if she has been down to the basement. No, though she assumes that he is building something for Johnny and his physical therapist to work with. He does not deny it but ominously stops her from going down to take a look. She realizes there is no playroom down there and decides she would rather not know. She only wants to focus on the kids. Elvis pours himself a drink and mentions the agreement Samantha must sign today. Nicole doubts she will agree. She later tells him she is off to get Johnny pizza for lunch. EJ thanks her for being so kind to his children. Nicole smiles they will soon also be hers and departs. EJ now continues his phone conversation with fatha. He assures him that Nicole knows nothing. All is proceeding according to their plan. "Step one starts tonight!" - Nicole's sister Taylor (only her hands are shown) is trying to book her way to Salem on the internet with her credit card but it gets rejected! She now looks in her purse, where she finds a few dollars, a bus token, and a photograph of her sister Nicole. She makes a phone call, asking for the schedule of the next bus to Salem ... - Jen uses Ben's key and slips into the infirmary. The filing cabinet is locked so she rummages through the desk and finds the keys to open it. She soon searches through files, looking for the ones on patients and finds a folder. "This is what I'm looking for!" She recognizes April - a patient name Hope gave her. She now realizes there are medical codes written which she does not understand. Meanwhile Lee approaches. The warden arrives at the door and asks her to make sure her computer has not had any more unauthorized activity. The wicked warden leers about what is happening to Bo Brady tonight. Jen puts her ear to the door but cannot hear what they are saying! Lee wants more deets on Bo. The warden informs her she told Ben Walters they would soon have the organs he requested, and he was elated. The warden stops Lee from going to check the computer, as she also requires her assistance in another matter. They walk off together. Inside, Jen realizes she will have to work fast and gets ready to take photos of the files ... - Sami and Rafe meet with EJ at his law office. Sami explains Rafe has already had a lawyer look over the agreement. She is prepared to sign. Nicole enters and Sami does not understand why she is there. EJ clears his throat and airily states she is a party to the agreement, as she is going to be stepmother to the children. "The hell she is!" snaps Sami. Lawyer EJ advises her to read page 6 of the agreement, which states if he dies, then Nicole has the same rights to the children that he did. Sami had not received that page. She is livid to hear that they are still getting married. Nicole denies ever saying otherwise. Sami calls her a lying bitch. Nicole claims she herself was surprised that EJ still wanted to marry her. Sami continues to insult her. EJ coolly claims the fact that he is marrying Nicole is his personal life, which does not apply. Rafe reminds him Nicole ran with Sydney twice. He should not give her legal rights. Sami refuses to let her raise her children. Not ever! EJ wonders if she is now rejecting the agreement. Rafe drawls he added the addendum in the last minute on purpose. Sami worries about signing. EJ thinks he will live to a ripe old age anyway. Sami snaps Nicole will not. Voices are raised. Nicole and Sami almost go at it but their guys stop them. Rafe quietly reminds Sami this is about her kids and it is still a good deal ... - Jen waltzes back into the pub, innocently leaves Ben's key chain on the counter, and sits down somewhere else to examine the pictures she just took. Ben arrives with a smile on his face and asks what she is looking at. She pretends to be simply checking her email. He wonders if she has seen his keys. She sweetly suggests he ask the bartender. He walks off to do just that. Jen hopes he will not notice the prison infirmary key is missing and ponders her next move. In order to decipher those medical codes, she will need to consult with a doctor ... - Back at the apartment, Mel and Kate continue to talk. Mel does not like Chloe and admits she had even thought she and Dan should take Parker from her. Kate is all for it and encourages her to do it. She and Phil could be one happy family with both babies! Mel gets sarcastic. Kate continues to encourage her, adding she would be surprised at what people will do. - At the Cheatin Heart, woeful Chloe admits to Maggie she never thought she would have to raise the baby alone. She does not even want to go back to the new place Daniel is paying for cos it reminds her of all she lost. She cries she does not know where to go. Maggie tells her the baby's needs must come first. Chloe cries some more and fears she will lose her baby if she does not pull it together. Maggie assures her she will not lose her baby. Chloe is scared and feels bad she does not have enough milk. Maggie points out she is a new mom and asks if her mom can come and help. Chloe does not think so, as she is busy with the family and she does not want to bother her. The redhead graciously invites her and Parker to come home with her. She will take care of them. Chloe accepts and tearfully hugs her. - Phil talks to Parker outside. He vows to take good care of both of his kids. No one will stop him ... - Meanwhile, Kate reminds Mel that train wreck Chloe is not fit to raise the child who is her baby's big brother. And Nicole is the company Chloe keeps! A case certainly could be made. Mel would rather not continue the discussion. Kate agrees to leave. She is sorry and woefully states it is hard for her to accept that neither of Phil's babies will be raised by their father. It does not have to be that way. She coos to Mel it is up to her and walks out. Mel appears to consider .... - Back at the law office, Rafe advises Sami to sign so she will have access to the children. It is better than having no rights to them. Sami grimaces and picks up the document. EJ hands her a pen. Sami scrunches up the agreement and flat out refuses, accusing EJ of using Nicole to try and poison her kids against her. "I know that is what you both have in mind!" She storms out alone ... Next on Days of Our Lives Chloe looks at Parker. "There is something wrong with him! I know there is!" "He doesn't even have to give her shared custody!" Nicole yells at Rafe. "How about that!" "I will see her dead before I let that happen!" declares Sami. |
