Will breezes in with good news of Johnny's eye being just fine They hug. - Nicole is sitting with Sydney upstairs at the mansion. Chloe arrives, having left Parker with the maid. She got Nicole's message and Nicole tells her about Johnny. She also informs her of the Sami/EJ truce. They will have shared custody. Chloe is surprised. Nicole is dismal. She later comes back after putting Syd to bed and the gals discuss the truce. Nicole laments heartless EJ will probably get rid of her. He will certainly not have any compassion towards her. Chloe points out Brady has compassion and still loves her. Perhaps he can help. But Nicole suspects that he no longer loves her. Chloe insists love does not disappear ... and she also knows Daniel will come back to her. Nicole reminds her what she did to Dan was a love killer. She adds he did not ask after her when she saw him today. Chloe claims then he must have been tired from surgery. Nicole agrees it is possible, as he went home to sleep. Chloe, excited to know where he is, decides to go see him now. Nicole warns if she goes there, she could be ruining her marriage for good. Pushing him too soon could backfire. Chloe gets miffed and suggests she take action for herself and call Brady or she could end up all alone, She, however, refuses to be alone and storms out. Nicole considers. She now calls Brady, who is at home reading a book. He coldly asks what she wants. She requests a meeting for his help. He agrees to let her come over, though he is not as enthusiastic as he used to be. - Tired Dan returns home, takes off his jacket, and sits on the sofa with a sigh. Ring ring! Tis daughter Mel, congratulating him on little Johnny's successful surgery. He thanks her and adds much credit goes to Carly. Mel requests a meeting and it cannot wait. She will explain when she sees him in an hour. "Sure," he drawls. "Just come on over." Mel hangs up at Maggie's place and tells herself she must tell her dad she is pregnant. Enter Maggie, and she has heard! Mel cries she is indeed having a baby. The redhead hugs her, promises it will be fine, and assures her this is a blessing. She prepares tea and asks if Phil knows. Mel admits he does and he believes they should reconcile, but she cannot forgive him. Maggie promises to be with her all the way. She will help her anytime. Mel wants help now. How can she tell her dad she is having a baby with the very man who destroyed his life? The redhead assures her that Daniel loves her and will love her child. He has the biggest heart in Salem. Mel is still nervous about it. Maggie thinks he will also get past his anger with Phil and Chloe. Mel snaps she will not let him forgive that Chloe! Maggie feels she should stay out of it. However, Mel does not want him to be taken in again by Chloe and her assets. Maggie warns her to butt out, cos he can look after himself. Mel agrees. Maggie asks if she has told Nath about the baby. No, and she implores Maggie not to tell him, as he wants them to be together. Mel, on the other hand, is not sure what she wants. Besides, now that she is pregnant she is the last thing he needs. She has decided to focus on the baby. Maggie is proud of her for being so strong. They hug. - Dan lies down on his sofa and finds baby Parker's pacifier. He flashes back to a time he was holding the baby, murmuring he was everything to him, and now blinks back the tears. - Replay of EJ spying Sami and Rafe kissing at the hospital, repeating that Rafe is a different matter. Stefano approaches and wonders what Elvis means about Rafael. EJ announces he has finally figured out what to do. Stefano is dubious and wants the deets of this marvelous plan of his. First EJ wishes to take him to Johnny. The phoenix is elated to see the tyke. He would have been there earlier, but he was not feeling well. However, now he is better. "Just like me!" charmingly states Johnny. EJ smiles. Stefano talks family vacation ... Meanwhile, Rafe advises Sami not to count on EJ, given how he changes his mind on a dime. They soon head to Johnny's room and Sami informs Stefano that Johnny has missed too much school for a vacation now. EJ agrees the lad needs a normal routine, as well as both his parents. The phoenix grumbles. EJ suggests they head home and leave Samantha and Rafe to spend time with Johnny. He kisses his son, assures Sami he will be in touch, and walks out. At the nurse's station, the phoenix hopes that disgusting display of good will was but an act. EJ drawls he will explain as soon as they get home ... - Back at the loft, Will and Gabi kiss as there is a loud knock at the door. Will opens it to Chad, who bears news. He just won a radio contest and front row concert seats. He is inviting them. They are thrilled and also give him the good news on Johnny. Chad is glad but states they are his family in name only. He becomes uncomfortable and excuses himself. - At the apartment, Chloe has lit candles and starts to kiss Dan on the sofa. He kisses her back, then opens his eyes with a start. He gasps he did not realize what he was doing. She encourages him to give in and they continue kissing ...Chloe blinks back to reality, as that was a daydream. She gingerly enters the apartment, determined to make her plan work. Dan is asleep on the sofa. She unbuttons her top and gets on him with a kiss. He shouts, wakes up, and throws her off . Chloe lands on the floor with a thud. He hopes she is okay but wants to know what she is doing there! She insists they can work things out as she loves her. He drawls he is tired and wishes to be left alone. She begs. He states they might have had a chance if she had told him the truth but now he will never believe her again. Enter Mel. "Thank God for that!" Chloe woefully leaves, after reluctantly giving back the key. Once they are alone, Dan wants to know what Mel wished to discuss. "I'm pregnant with Phillip's baby!" she blurts out. He holds his crying daughter in his arms and assures her it is okay. "Your daddy's got you ..." - Meanwhile, Brady opens his door to Nicole but will not let her in. What is this about? Sydney and Johnny. He opens the door so she updates him on the operation Johnny just had. He is sorry for the lad and wonders why she is there. She needs his help and fills him in on the Sami and EJ truce, which leaves her out. Could he talk to Sami and convince her that she should be a part of the kids' lives? Brady cannot believe it and angrily reminds her she threw him out of her life for Sydney. Now she is alone and that is what she deserves! She begs him not to turn his back on her. He leers he is done with her and bitterly orders her out. "You are not my problem anymore and I do not want you to come back!" - Back at the hospital, Sami and Rafe are with Johnny. Sami is anxious to get him home. She is certain things will be different this time around and tells Rafe as much. The pair eventually leave together ... - Stefano and EJ return to the grand mansion to discuss EJ's promise to God. He assures fatha he is seeing things clearly. He will keep his word to Samantha, as promised. She, after all, is the mother of his kids. The real problem is Rafe! He suspects he will poison Johnny against the DiMeras. The phoenix sighs and agrees. However, does he want to get rid of him because of the children or so he can replace him in Samantha's bed? EJ makes a strange face. "I am not in love with Samantha anymore." He will never pursue her again and only feels disgust for her. Stefano snaps then why let her in the children's lives? EJ explains she is still their mother and a better one than Nicole. He points out that Rafe was never part of the bargain. For the sake of his children, he must be removed from her life. For good. - At the loft, Gabi is baking and discussing Chad with Will. It is sad that Chad shuns his DiMera family. Unbeknownst to them, Chad is at that very moment in Johnny's room, placing a stuffed frog on his bed. "Who are you?" asks Johnny. He replies he is Chad and he hopes he is feeling better. Johnny thanks him for the cool toy and Chad quietly walks out. He pauses at the door, his eyes filled with emotion. - Back at the loft, Gabi has finished making the cookies for Johnny. Will brushes flour from her face and they kiss and kiss and kiss. - Sami and EJ stop at the pier with beverages. Sami rehashes how sincere EJ was in the chapel. Rafe warns her not to trust him. Sami gets miffed that he thinks she is too naive. He patiently says he just thinks she is too trusting. She exclaims she does not trust EJ. In her opinion, they should be more worried about Stefano, who might convince him to end the deal. Rafe drawls in that case, they should neutralize the phoenix. Sami thinks they should keep an eye on the DiMeras very quietly. She wants her kids, no problems. Rafe promises he will quietly continue to build a case against the DiMeras. No worries. They hug. - Back at the mansion, Stefano has a solution to destroy Hernandez the problem. One that would be even more effective than his death! EJ the willing partner in crime listens intently. Stefano continues. They should kill Samantha's love for him. They will therefore put Rafael through a major change. "A change so drrrrastic that it will destroy his relationship with Samantha forever ...!" Next on Days of Our Lives "Did you think Melanie is ever gonna forgive you?" Carly tells Phil. "Think again!" "Bye bye, Rafael Hernandez!" declares Stefano. Brady slams the door on a crying Nicole. "GET OUT!" |
