Friday, January 14, 2011 up at 5:20 pm est January 13 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! TRUCE! - Replay of the scene of Johnny being taken to surgery, Sami collapsing into EJ's arms, sobbing. Sami now walks back into the room and thanks EJ for letting her be there. She sadly wonders if he would make Johnny face his life without, in case he ends up blind. EJ warns her not to try and take advantage of what was a brief close moment with her son. Sami reminds him Johnny ran away from the house just to see her and tried to memorize her face. She cries is that what he wants for her son, her face reddening. Rafe saunters in and berates EJ for making her cry even more. They hug and Sami laments he does not understand. EJ walks out of the room. He runs into Nicole, who would like to know what happened, then walks off, announcing he will do what is best for his son. - Mel is in Maggie's kitchen, assuring herself she could always have more babies - without Phil. She puts down the paper she was looking at and calls to make an appointment for next week. She then decides she will call back. Steph bangs on the door. Mel snaps she is busy but Steph yells to let her in. Mel opens the door. Steph takes off her coat. "You ruined everything for me and now you're gonna answer for it!" Mel reminds her that it was in fact her grandmother who switched the test results. Besides, Nath was going to marry her. Steph angrily states that was until he heard she was a free agent again. She bitterly brings up Melanie and Nathan's closeness in quarantine. Mel sarcastically denies it. Steph accuses her of going after Nath. Mel calls it twisted that she toyed with others' lives cos she thought that. Steph reminds her of the letter she wrote Nath on her wedding day to Phil. She wants to know if Nath has come to see her and sniffles when she realizes he did. Mel retorts he loved Steph and she has only herself to blame cos of what she did. - At the Kiriakis mansion, Phil talks tough to an employee on the phone, then picks up Mel's picture and declares it is not over. Enter Nath, who drawls it is not up to him. He calls Phil a son of a bitch. Phil remarks he is late for his wedding. Nath snaps there will be no wedding. Phil accuses him of trying to come onto his wife the whole time he was sleeping with Steph. Nath drawls if Mel had been open to it, he certainly would have pursued her. Phil pours himself a drink and accuses him of treating Steph badly. Nath states he only broke it off with her cos she lied - something Phil knows about! Phil plays innocent. Nath informs him he overheard him and Steph talking about the secret. He adds Steph and her computer geek pal Ian had planned to change the paternity test results. Phil denies knowing that. Nath, however, suspects he knew about it the whole time. Phil explains he only knew about the paternity test, though he had no idea he was the father. There was no way he would have turned his back on his son had he known. Nath wonders if he even cares about his other son Pocket. Phil wants him to leave. Nath warns him to stay away from Mel and calls him a pig. Phil suddenly slugs him! Nath drawls he hit him cos he knows he is right. He lost an amazing woman. Nath will not hit him back, he will just let him watch him put her back together. But if Phil goes near Mel, he will KILL him! Phil gets sarcastic. Does Mel know he is threatening him? Nath smugly states Mel hates him now anyway and there is nothing in this world that would make her take him back .... - Down at the pier, sad Stefano stands alone. He spies Kate walking by. "Katherine!" She asks why he has been crying. He thinks she should keep walking. Kate declares he needs her and she is not going anywhere. What is wrong? He sighs Johnny is back in hospital, with cancer on his other eye. He is in surgery and if they must take this eye too, he will be blind. Kate whispers how much more can the little boy take? She still thinks of him as her grandson. She will always love Johnny, just as she will always love Stefano. He wonders about that. "You know I do," she murmurs. He refers to her betrayal and they proceed to catch up regardless. Kate informs him that Vivian is no longer running things at Titan. Stefano, however, remains preoccupied with thoughts of Johnny. He laments the great Stefano DiMera has power but cannot help those he loves. Kate is sympathetic. She admits she too is upset - about Chloe being connected to Phillip forever now. Stefano is sorry. She laments it has been hard without her husband by her side. She misses him much and asks why they are doing this to themselves. They are so much better together ... - EJ heads to the hospital chapel and introduces himself to God. He prays for Johnny, for divine intervention. He believes God is punishing him for the things he has done. Johnny's mother says he is an arrogant, egotistical bastard. Sami slowly enters just as EJ proposes a deal. If God allows his son to be cured and see again "I will end my battle with Samantha. I'll let her see Johnny and Sydney again." He promises he will keep his side of the deal and assures God he will let Sami be a mother to Johnny and Sydney if only his son is saved. "Amen." He stands up and turns around, only to come face to face with Sami. How long has she been there? Long enough. She quietly asks if he really meant what he said. He drawls it is between him and God and suggests she talk to Him herself. Sami invites him to stay and listen to her prayer. He does. Sami kneels, makes the sign of the cross, and apologizes for it being long since her last confession. She is there for her son and asks God to make sure he can see and has a long life. She promises he won't regret it and cries her son is so brave, smart, and funny, with a big heart. EJ blinks back the tears. Sami praises Johnny for never complaining despite the hard life he has endured, being shuttled between her and EJ. He just once said he wished they would love each other more. EJ listens intently. Sami adds she knows that she and EJ have done things and understands God will deal with them, but begs for him to take care of Johnny. Sami and EJ now sit together and decide they have a deal. If Johnny is spared, they have a truce. EJ wonders if it will be a permanent truce. Yes! - Meanwhile, Nicole calls Mary to check that Sydney got her lunch. She tells her what she likes. After the call, she turns around to see Rafe. He mentions her canceled wedding day. She states it can be rescheduled. Rafe thanks her for telling him and Sami about Johnny. Nicole wonders if Sami knows he is speaking with her. Rafe replies she is in the chapel. He remarks it must be hard on EJ. All he can do now is ... "Pray!" deduces Nicole. They head to the chapel before all hell breaks loose. Once they arrive, they spy EJ and Sami sitting together, discussing their deal. All of a sudden, EJ gets a text message. Johnny is out of surgery! The gang race back to the nurse's station. Dr. Dan and Dr. Carly bear news. They got the cancer, saved the eye, though he will need chemo and radiation. They will know how his sight it after he wakes up. Sami asks EJ if he is going to hold up his end of the bargain. EJ first wants to see how Johnny is doing. He and Sami go to visit him in recovery. Sami is extremely grateful to the doctors. Nicole goes to wait in Johnny's room. Rafe thanks Carly and Dan and walks off to call Will. Carly reminds Dan that kids need their parents in tough times. Dan realizes she is thinking of her daughter. He reminds her that Mel is no child and she will be the one to decide if she wants her in her life ... Rafe joins Nicole in Johnny's room. He plays devil's advocate. If EJ keeps up his end of the bargain and Sami is back with the kids, what will that mean to her? - Chad drops by the loft and visits Will and Gabi, as he is back in town. They update him on Johnny's operation for cancer. He could go blind. Chad is affected. "Poor little guy." They wait and wait until ... Will gets the call. He excitedly shares the news of Johnny's eye being saved with Gabi and Chad. He and Gabi are elated. Chad looks emotional. - At the pier, Stefano speaks with Lexie on the phone. He tells Kate the good news and they hug impulsively. Lexie has instructed the phoenix to go home and rest. He bids Kate goodbye and turns to walk away. Kate tenderly stops him. "Let me go with you ..." The phoenix feels that they should leave things the way they are. Kate replies she was not referrinng to moving in, but neither of them wants to be alone. Stefano grins when she is right, she is right, and offers her his arm. They walk off together, arm in arm ... - Back at the hospital, Rafe hopes Nicole will not become any kind of threat to Sami, if she and EJ make their peace. Nicole reminds Rafe she was the one who told them about Johnny and discovered the problem with his eye. EJ will not turn on her, cos he owes her. Meanwhile, Sami is hugging sleeping Johnny. She thanks EJ for letting her be there with him. EJ murmurs "I just want what's best for my son and that's you ..." - Chez Maggie, Steph admits she is a screw-up, but at least she only wants one man. Mel accuses her of telling Caroline about what happened. Steph screams at her for messing things up for her. Mel has heard enough and starts to leave. Steph grabs her bag to stop her and the pregnancy options paper falls out. Mel tries to force her to leave. The pair struggle. Steph gives her a shove. Much to Mel's horror, she falls on her fanny. She touches her tummy and gasps, giving Steph a disbelieving look ... Next on Days of Our Lives "Brady and I took care of Vivian. She isn't a threat anymore," Kate assures Victor. "I think Melanie's pregnant!" Chloe confides to Phil. Stefano addresses EJ. "Are you going to kick Samantha out of here again?" |
