All of a sudden there is banging on the door. "Open up! Police!" Tis the wicked warden, who shoots Bo. Hope wakes up with a cry. T'was a bad dream. She throws open the door of her room on the boat and Bo assures her the warden will not get him. He will get her very soon, that warden, he vows. He was able to use Leo's software to read the warden's emails. There was nothing incriminating, but he knows they will find something out today. She is having a meeting, as someone texted her a message on her secret phone, summoning her to said meeting! Hope takes it all in. Bo thinks they will soon get what they need to bust that warden. And Hope's breakout will then be self-defense. The D.A. will have to cut them a deal. Bo is ready to go, but Hope wants to join him. In fact, she insists he needs her as backup. Bo points out if he is caught, he is useless to the wicked warden without her. However, if they both get caught, they can be shot dead with no witnesses. Therefore, he will have to handle this meeting on his own. "Okay," says Hope, and she implores him to be careful. He will. She emotionally thanks him for all he has done and they hug. "Be safe," she finishes and reminds him he also has a little girl to come home to. "See you soon, Fancyface," tough guy Bo drawls, and he saunters out ... - At the hearing for Carly, Dan informs Dr. Lexie that all he knows is Dr. Manning obtained his DNA and performed the test. Dan glances at Carly. Lexie asks how she obtained his DNA. Dan flashes back to her giving him a cheek swab and fibs he does not know. Kayla stands up and yells at him, accusing him of covering for Carly. Lexie orders her to sit down. Kayla glares. "Everyone in this room knows you are covering up!" Dan states that is her opinion, though he will admit Dr. Carly does have a tendency to interfere in the lives of others. "It is a pattern." Carly blinks. Lexie reminds Dan this is only about the facts. There is nothing more to discuss if he cannot say how Carly got his DNA. Kayla proceeds to rant about her daughter's relationship being in tatters, all because of Carly Manning. And she is to blame for Bo and Hope being on the run, too! Lexie patiently explains this is about Carly keeping her license. Kayla wishes Carly Manning had never come back to Salem. Carly herself is now called to testify. She assures the hearing that she would have acted differently had she known that Daniel was not the father of the baby. She is sympathetic toward Kayla about everything that has happened to her family. Lexie concludes there is no proof of malpractice or any ethical violations. The case is dismissed. Exit Dr. Lexie. Kayla finds it hard to swallow that Carly will be remaining at University hospital and says so. She wants her run out of town. Carly reminds her that her daughter is in Salem. Kayla snaps does she think Mel will forgive her for what she has done! Carly looks ready to cry. She soon thanks Daniel, who warns she will now be under a microscope. She assures him he will not regret what he did for her on this day .... - Down at the pier, mournful Mel starts to say "Nathan, I'm ..." and then collapses. He catches her. Mel regains her balance and pretends she just did not eat enough. He wants to get her something. She retorts she knows what to do, as she is a nurse, and starts to leave. He pulls her back and wants to get everything out in the open. They are both free so there is no reason they cannot be together. Mel gets serious. "Yeah, there is." Things were different before. He does not get it. She sadly suggests he move to Baltimore and live his life, forgetting about her. He replies things have changed, then gets a text about Carly getting off. Dan must have forgiven her, for he did not incriminate her. "If he forgave her, who knows," Nath declares. Distracted Mel unhappily excuses herself and departs. - At the loft, Sami is pretty in purple, fussing over Ally with Rafe. Ally wishes Johnny could be with her soon. So do Sami and Rafe. Sami muses they will have to find a way to deal with EJ. She later returns from taking Ally to her piano lesson. Even the teacher was asking about Johnny. She and Rafe talk Nicole. He wonders if EJ and Nicole will really get married today. Sami gets miffed. It will still not make her mother to her kids! Rafe agrees and promises her they will get something on EJ to prove his crimes. - Back at the hospital, EJ reels from learning that Johnny's cancer has spread. He stammers it makes no sense as a couple of days ago the doc said Johnny was cancer free. Then layperson Nicole saw it? He snaps and grabs Kim by the scruff of the neck. "You told me everything was fine!" He repeats this and shakes him. Nicole pulls him off. EJ growls his son needs a doctor who is competent. Kim explains he needs to do more tests. The rapid growth indicates the cancer is aggressive. Changing doctors would take time and they might not have that luxury. EJ allows him to get started on tests. Nicole assures him he is doing the right thing. Dr. Kim soon returns. Johnny is asking for his mother. Nicole replies they will make sure she is there when he wakes up. She tells EJ they must involve Sami but he disagrees! Nicole reminds him that the boy wants his mother. If he must face another operation, he deserves to be able to hold both his parents' hands. EJ considers. She understands his reluctance, though she too is worried about Johnny. Surely his father wants him to feel safe and secure ... - Outside, Jen is on her phone with the warden. She would like to come in and finish some filing. The warden explains she will be out of the office for the day and would rather be there to supervise. Jen understands. She ends the call, pleased to at least know she will be out of the office. Jen enters the pub and joins Will, who is studying for a biology test. She asks after Johnny. Will glumly admits Sami does not get to see him much. Will's gaze wanders over to Gabi as she enters. However, she is with a guy and they are giggling together. Will grimaces. Jen excuses herself and walks out, only to run into Ben Walters. His eyes light up and he drawls his rough day just got better. Inside, Gabi asks Will if he is ready for the bio quiz. Her pal steps away to take a call. She is surprised to see that Will is quietly jealous of Cory. They are only classmates who were joking around. She hopes Will is not going to make this into something it is not and kisses him. Will kisses her back with a smile. - Sami opens her door to EJ and Nicole and becomes sarcastic. EJ tells her to shut up. Sami tells him to get lost and starts to close the door. EJ is ready to leave, drawling he tried, but Nicole stops Sami from shutting the door. She must listen to what they have come to say, she quietly says. She would like to come in. Sami yells more sarcastic remarks. Rafe comes into the room to see what all the commotion is about. When Nicole states she and EJ are not getting married today, Sami bitterly pretends to cry and wonders if they fell out of love. Nicole is not sure how to react. EJ tells her to now shut up and listen. "We just came from the hospital. We left Johnny there. He has to have some tests." Sami quips he already did. Nicole drops a bomb. The cancer seems to have spread to the other eye. Rafe puts his arms around Sami, who looks ready to faint .... - Ben and Jen enjoy coffee and chatter at the pub. She notices he is no longer wearing the walkabout bracelet. He admits he noticed it was a bad reminder to the fair Jennifer and was hoping to see her again soon. He now knows who he is and what he wants. Jen smiles. All of a sudden, he gets paged and announces he must go. - Bo watches the warden in the woods as she lists her concerns to her boss, who is not visible through the snowy trees. All of a sudden, Bo is knocked unconscious and falls to the ground! - Down at the pier, Gabi and Will are good again and seal the deal with a sweet kiss. - Ben returns to Jen at the pub and apologizes for taking off so abruptly without saying goodbye. It was a false alarm. Jen understands. His phone starts to ring and he charmingly wonders if perhaps he ought to ignore it. Jen glances at his phone and remarks that is the prison calling! - Back in the woods, the warden is dismayed that Bo Brady followed her. What to do with him? The goon takes Bo's gun as the big boss observes. - Back at the hospital, Lexie has just asked Carly to assist in a delicate surgery. Sami, Rafe, EJ, and Nicole nervously rush in. Sami is loudly upset. Lexie explains this time the surgery will be complicated. Carly will do a laser procedure as Dr. Kim and Dan operate. The doctors are ready for the challenge.EJ wonders why this time it will be complicated. Sami is suspicious. They explain they must get the cancer before it spreads. Sami yells she wants to know why did they not catch it sooner and what if they do not get it this time? Lexie patiently states there are variables ... Sami starts to cry she promised her boy there would be only that one surgery and then sobs as Rafe holds her. EJ is clearly affected ... - Mel slowly walks into Maggie's kitchen and touches her tummy. She sits down, opens the computer, and stares at a website about family planning. "What are my options?" - Back at the pub, Ben replies to Jennifer it is indeed the prison, as he volunteers at the prison infirmary. She is most interested ... - Hope anxiously awaits Bo. Meanwhile, Bo has been blindfolded and tied to a chair in a dingy room. The wicked warden leers he is an idiot for underestimating who he was dealing with. Stefano DiMera steps out of the shadows and slowly shakes his head ...! Next on Days of Our Lives BO Who's there? WARDEN Your wife's worst nightmare! Hope gasps "Oh God, he's got Bo!"
