EJ adds Abe knew which questions the moderator would ask. Lexie calls them both crazy. Nicole notes Jen is silent. What a shocker that Abe is a cheat! Lexie still insists it is not true. EJ feels his sister is too trusting of her husband. Lexie becomes indignant. Abe attempts to calm her. Lexie repeats the finest man she knows did not cheat! EJ points out his answers sounded rehearsed. Lexie believes he did his homework. Nicole vows to find out how he got the questions and spread the news. Then they will lose! Lexie quips they will never prove Abe and Jen cheated, for they did not! EJ patiently explains she is blinded to the truth. In the end, he will win this race. Lexie snaps that Abe won fair and square. Unlike how he plays the game! EJ warns her to open her eyes. If she does not, she will be in for a shock when the truth comes out. And it always does! Abe gives him a dubious look. Lexie calls her brother pathetic. She is done with him! He warns her husband is a liar and a cheat and walks off with Nicole. Lexie apologizes to Abe. Jen and Abe make light of it. Lexie is baffled how they could let them say such horrible things and have no response. She suddenly stares and hopes they were just crazy, not accurate. Abe cannot believe she asked him that. She notes he has not answered her question. "Did you or did you not cheat to win the debate?" Jen looks down. - At the elegant DiMera mansion, Kate is enjoying a visit from Austin. She is proud of the professor and invites him and Carrie over for dinner. Stefano, meanwhile, stares numbly out the window. He has other things on his mind. Kate notices. She mentions his blood sugar. He sits down and praises his wife for her devotion. He asks Austin where his lovely wife is. Working. The phoenix fondly remembers how his son Anthony loved her as if she was his own. He misses them both. Kate points out that is another reason they must come for dinner. Stefano agrees. Austin laments it could be a problem as he and Carrie have been having issues. Things have been strained since they were on opposite ends of the John Black case. Kate is surprised he is mentioning it now. Why he is even here? Stefano explains she really means he should be with his wife. Kate suggests he take action and surprise her. Austin does not want to tip off Rafe that they have problems. Kate realizes he is worried she is getting close to Rafe. She advises her son to take the day off and work on his marriage. He agrees they will work it out. Stefano wishes him good luck. Kate reassures him they will be able to celebrate when he fixes things. They exchange I love yous and Austin departs. Kate now wonders what is troubling the very preoccupied Stefano. He confides in her that sweet little Alice Horton was blackmailing him and updates her on how he came to get the envelope. Hope presently has his envelope and it is up to her to open it. Kate is curious what Alice had on him. He admits he knows not and he has not even opened it. Kate asks why not. He has it cautiously sealed, until he has made his decision. Alice was a formidable opponent. He recalls how she smiled he should not let anyone ever see the contents. Kate is sorry to see him so troubled. What can she do? He takes her in his arms and drawls having her love is more than enough. She assures him he has it and they kiss. She now coos she is dying to know what is in Bo and Hope's envelope! The phoenix chuckles. - Hope stares at the envelope and cannot decide which would be worse - being at the mercy of the phoenix or the deep, dark secret. Bo is by her side. He sits and drawls they will never know what Alice had on Stefano. Hope sighs he will win. Bo insists he did not win. Hope remains nervous about the mysterious secret. Bo jokes Mrs. H must have stuck it to the old man. Hope confesses the piece of paper and ink in the envelope they have now terrifies her. A photo of Alice is shown. Bo points out Stefano could go public with the contents if they do not beat him to it. Hope hesitates. She wants a sign from gran. Bo teases she has already given her a number of signs. Hope suddenly spies a book on the mantelpiece she has not seen in years that belonged to Tom. She opens it and a slip of paper falls out. She exclaims she now has her sign! - Replay of Carrie and Austin celebrating their job, getting closer, and kissing passionately, only to be discovered by a frazzled Sami! She glares at the scene and loudly clears her throat. The two lovebirds turn around, aghast. She starts to yell what the hell where they doing! They swear they became carried away celebrating. She rages that Carrie has always wanted what she has. Sami faces Rafe and adds she thought he loved her. He mutters he does. She demands to know how he could so betray her! She now flies at Carrie and accuses her of trying to even the score. Carrie plays innocent. Sami rushes up and rages she had her tongue in her husband's mouth. Carrie wishes she could take that back. Sami starts to storm out. Rafe stops her and begs her to think. He explains Carrie loves her husband and is not a cheater. Sami yells Carrie is nothing but a slut and he is a traitor! Rafe is sorry for the innocent kiss. Sami is livid he continues to downplay it. Carrie defends him. She should trust in Rafe's love. Sami snaps this is not about her insecurity, it is about Carrie having problems in her marriage and hating the fact that she has no problems and has kids! Rafe tries to explain but Sami rages she saw and they were kissing each other. Enter Austin and he cannot believe what he is hearing! He lunges for Rafe and Carrie intervenes. Austin snaps they crossed the line. Both Carrie and Rafe are sorry. Austin gasps to Carrie they took vows. Rafe quietly suggests he and Sami go home. She agrees, darkly warns her sister she will NEVER forget this, and they depart. Austin cannot believe for once he agrees with Sami. He sits down and wonders if Carrie has anything else to say.
