He is elated. She thinks the press and the people are ready for new leadership. He grins he has big plans for this town. She gets up close and personal and he opts to start with domestic issues. A bottle of bubbly awaits at the romantic fireplace. She asks what the occasion is, then suddenly remembers a year ago to this day they were remarried. It is their anniversary. He kisses her. The candles are soon lit and EJ romances her with the best champagne in crystal glasses. He appreciates her hard work and admits he could not have done it without her. He remains puzzled how she got his last minute win and she makes light of it. "To you," drawls EJ and they toast their glasses. Nicole wonders where Stefano went. EJ is more interested in her and airily states he had to go out of town. He gets close and compares them to Jack and Jackie Kennedy. He teases Nicole is a power broker who was swept off her feet by a white night. She thinks she will need to keep working. She enjoys what she has been doing and does not want to give it up. He points out he will need to keep her for his PR, especially when he runs for higher office. She agrees to think about it. He smiles he can sweeten the deal and they kiss in the candlelight. He later confides to her he will do his best to win over the good people of Salem. The pair of them surely are "legitimatish." She laughs. They lie down together and get physical by the fireplace. Afterwards, they lie in the fire glow and she muses they have made it through everything. In honor of their anniversary, she wants to go upstairs and tear up the divorce papers she once made him sign. He kisses her and coos first he has something to give her. Nicole happily waits ... - Rafe is at the condo, warning Bo, Hope, and John that they cannot do anything to have Alamanian visas issued to Marlena and Bo. John growls Stefano DiMera must be behind it! They suspect if they discovered the secret Alice had on him, they could use it to neutralize him. Bo hopes if he has opened that envelope, the secret his causing him as much misery as he is presently causing them! - At the loft, Marlena starts to admit she might have been selfish, but Will disagrees. Sami laments she never meant to hurt Will. He responds bitterly. Marlena repeats that to make things right, Sami must tell Rafe the truth. Or it will destroy her! Will must takes his leave, warns Marlena not to let Sami be mean, gives her a kiss, and is gone. Sami bitterly accuses Marlena of using this to make sure her son would hate her so she could be a mother to him. Marlena is baffled. Sami leers she wants Will all to herself and wishes to poison him against her. Marlena insists she wants her to be happy. If she wants to save her marriage, she simply must tell Rafe what happened. Sami snaps at her to get out and stay out of her life. Marlena warns her secret could destroy even the strongest relationship and exits. Sami thinks about it. She remembers her mother's words and takes out her phone. Who to call? The names Rafe Hernandez and Lucas Horton are visible. She puts the phone down. - Sonny meets pal Will at the pub with an update on the classes he has missed. Will admits he has been going through something with his family and he is tired of holding it inside. Sonny assumes he knows what he means and he can relate. He can trust him and suggests he open up. Will brings his chair closer. He explains this could tear his family apart. Sonny notes when he told his family he was gay, it brought them closer together. Will doubts that would happen here. Sonny adds his relationship even got better with tough guy Vic. He assures Will that his own family would be supportive. Will retorts he has the wrong idea, for this secret is about his mom! He calls her a selfish bitch. They are now standing up as Sonny wonders what is going on. Will complains that Sami betrayed the family and whispers he cannot tell anyone. Sonny agrees not to ever betray his confidence. Will whispers the tale of how he saw Sami with EJ at the DiMera mansion when Johnny was missing ... Rafe quietly enters and slowly walks toward them, then sits down at a nearby table. "I caught my mom cheating on Rafe. She was having sex with EJ DiMera!" blurts out Will. He does not realize who is nearby. Rafe rubs his face with a hand. Sonny is sorry his good friend had to endure that. Will appreciates it. Sonny thinks they should do something fun. His friends are at a party and a new club He invites Will, who grins he could use a party. The guys exit together. Rafe is on his way somewhere too ... - Marlena joins John, Bo, and Hope at the condo. They discuss Stefano's intentions. John fears he and Hope could be walking into a carefully laid trap the minute they set foot on Alamania. Bo insists they find a way to go with them. Hope argues they need the divorce fast. John agrees and reminds worried Marlena that Hope happens to be a cop. They can take care of themselves. Bo points out the country is unstable both politically and geographically. He fears there could be a DiMera surprise in store. Hope thinks they can win again against Stefano the way they have done before. John now finds online that a flight leaves for Alamania in an hour. They should be on it! Marlena gets worried, but John thinks they should just do it! - Sami is on her phone asking Caroline to keep the kids for a little while longer. A loud knock at the door and there stands Rafe. "How could you do it?! How could you sleep with EJ?!" Sami pretends not to understand what he means. Rafe warns her not to lie to him and storms in.
