He cannot believe it. She notes he claims to want to save his marriage. Then he must tell Carrie. He replies to save his marriage, she can never find out. It must stay between them! Enter Carrie and she wants to know what has to stay between them! Abigail smugly states it looks like the secret is coming out. Carrie notices the pair seem close. Abigail boasts they are closer than she could ever have imagined! Austin suddenly explains what she means is that Abigail helped plan their romantic getaway. Carrie thanks her and asks how she is doing. Abigail claims she was just talking to the guy who treated her badly. Carrie is sorry to hear it. Austin tries to usher her out for a bite to eat with him but Carrie wants to hear more. Abigail admits the guy might sound like a jerk because there are commitment issues. However, he is a good guy and was just telling her how important truth and honesty were to him. They are important parts of a relationship. Matter of fact, Austin himself was just saying he felt the same way. Carrie is not surprised to hear it. Austin cringes. Carrie and Austin now start to leave. Carrie suggests Abigail get in touch if she ever wants to talk more. Abigail sweetly agrees. Exit Austin and Carrie. - At the mansion, Victor, Brady, and Maggie glumly greet the morning with thoughts of evil Ian, what to do about him. Brady blames himself for the mess. Vic walks with his coffee and laments he had not found any connection between Ian and Madison. Enter Ian, reminding them she is his wife! He charmingly gives Maggie a box of Scottish shortbread as a peace offering. Vic snaps not to eat them, for they could be poisoned. Brady agrees he is dangerous. Ian insists his only agenda is to run Titan successfully. In fact, he is here to mend fences. After all, the woman he loves is living in Salem. Brady glares daggers at him. They do not hide their mistrust of him. Ian points out if anyone was not up front, it was Madison. Brady drawls and now he is now throwing her under the bus! Ian assumes that is just sour grapes talking. He hands the Greek tycoon his innovative business plan. Victor takes a look and is admittedly impressed. Ian insists he would be much more effective than the last CEO. Victor notes time will tell. Ian pleasantly leaves after smugly reminding dour Brady that one cannot lose what one never had! Once he has gone, the redhead asks about Madison. Brady thinks he was a fool. How could she let him propose when she was already married to someone else! - At the spa, Madison is playing with her products and Quinn gushes over their lucrative agreement. Kate walks in and demands to know what those products are doing on her display! Madison suggests that he tell her about their new arrangement. Quinn explains Mad World is taking him international. He is growing his business and will be expanding in Europe with her products starting in a few days! He walks off to run his business. Kate confronts Madison for playing dirty. She suspects it is all about some bizarre revenge. Madison denies it. Kate muses it could be for something personal. Madison coldly states they have only business in common and makes a catty reference to age. Ian suddenly saunters in and loudly greets his lovely wife, much to Kate's astonishment. - At the loft, Sami demands to know what Marlena knows about Will! She can either tell her or get out! Will enters and wants to know what they are discussing. Marlena suggests he give them their privacy. Will taunts Sami that his grandmother already knows her secret about her poor decision making. He smirks and states she already knows she had sex with EJ. Sami is utterly mortified. Marlena explains how Will was upset, hence his desire to confide in her. Will angrily points out Sami has treated Rafe like scum. Sami has tears in her eyes and assumes Marlena must be enjoying this payback. Marlena is not enjoying it, however. Sami raises her voice and Marlena notes she is really just angry at herself. Sami loudly insists she slept with EJ as she was in pain over losing her son. Will gets sarcastic. Sami wonders what she can say to make it better. Will quips she can tell him he is adopted. Marlena urges him to stop. Will bitterly reminds his mother that he stopped talking to her a long time ago, as she never listens. Marlena remarks she must see the pain he is in. Sami assumes that they mean she is a bad mother and starts to half-cry. Marlena intervenes between angry Will and his mother. They are the same family! She implores her daughter to let her help! Sami laments she never meant to have sex with EJ. She had believed Johnny was dead. She cries she was scared and upset. "I don't know how we ended up like that!" Marlena does. She was trying to avoid the terrible grief. And after ... Sami confesses she hated herself and gasps she still does. Will watches and listens as the tears roll down his young cheeks. Sami is truly sorry and wishes she could fix it. Marlena assures her that she is not alone. Everything will be alright. Mother and daughter embrace. Sami cries on her shoulder like a baby, wailing she did not know what to do. Marlena promises they will figure this out together. Sami sobs and wonders how. Marlena knows she wants to make things right with Will and Rafe and herself. The next thing she must do is tell Rafe what happened with EJ. She simply has to tell him what she did!
