Bo senses she has doubts and suggests they tell Stefano it must be on their terms - or no deal! A part of Hope wants to throw the key into the river, but she cannot bring herself to walk away. She would wonder about the secret her whole life. Bo points out they will have to make a deal with the devil. Enter Stefano, who chuckles the devil has arrived! Both parties have their keys. The phoenix repeats he gave them fair warrrrrrning and once they open the box, there is no turning back! Bo gets sarcastic and reminds the phoenix he too has much at stake. He does not deny it and agrees this will be an illuminating day indeed. They think he has a lot to lose. He retaliates by stating that Hope has no idea what family member will be hit when she opens the box or what will happen to them. "So you keep saying," growls Bo. Hope insists she will do it so he will not be able to threaten them with the big secret. Stefano wants the envelope with his secret to end up with him only, no questions asked. Bo remarks he is scared. He denies it. Hope thinks his family could find out something that changes their opinion of him. He sarcastically states oh it could be something baaaad. No surprise there. Besides, Alice was not really a match for him. Hope just wants them to open the damn box. - At the elegant DiMera mansion, EJ reads cue cards to Nicole about finances, etc. She applauds and calls him well versed. He makes a snide remark about having the questions in advance. She quietly warns him not to say such things in Will's presence. EJ is sure Will would repeat nothing. Is that not right, William? Will assures him he is loyal. Nicole demands to know what the hell is going on. She pulls EJ aside and he drawls she has nothing to worry about. Nicole gets mad about being blown off. She does not want to be kept in the dark,while the intern knows all. EJ informs her he is aware of her attempts to bribe said intern. He is amused she was so predictable and gives her a kiss. Nicole is miffed Will turned her in. He reminds her he works for EJ, not her. Nicole threatens to quit unless she is brought into EJ's inner circle. Hiring an intern should not be a state secret. She suspects he is protecting himself. EJ sternly wonders if she would walk away from her job. He then adds he is protecting William, who has a secret. She asks what exactly it has to do with him. EJ grins diabolically. "I'm blackmailing him!" Should Will do the honors or shall he? Will is stunned. EJ now explains that William's ties to the Carver clan have proven useful. Nicole wants to know why he agreed to betray them. EJ brings up the time he was shot before marrying Samantha. She recalls that Lucas pulled the trigger. Not exactly! He merely took the rap for his son. Will calls him a son of a bitch. EJ calls him a bad shot. Nicole takes it all in. She sees in the young man's eyes it is all true. EJ acknowledges William wanted him dead. "But not anymore, right William?" Will stares. EJ explains he will become a valuable addition to their team, particularly when that sword is no longer hanging over him. He is confident he will move forward. Will questions that. Nicole wonders if anyone else knows. EJ declares it is best to have the cards on the table with her, as she is his significant other. Only the three of them know. Will steps closer to EJ and wonders how far he wants to go with this so-called full disclosure. Should he too put all his cards on the table? EJ realizes he wants to play in the big leagues. Will smirks should he not put all his cards on the table for Nicole? EJ dares him to go ahead and do it ... - Sami rushes into a clandestine meeting with Madison, only to be told that she is pulling the plug. No more Sami the spy! Sami accuses her of hanging her out to dry. Mad begs to differ. Sami points out she spied at her request on Kate and if the DiMera queen bee finds out the truth, she will kill her! Madison vows to protect her. She has an exit strategy she will need to modify. Sami wants details. She later is not impressed with the exit strategy and thinks Madison is only protecting herself. She does not accept it! Kate almost sent her to death row. If Kate finds out what she did, she is surely doomed! Madison claims she is just overreacting and getting emotional. Sami knows she is really just doing this for Brady. Madison gets defensive. Sami thinks she is letting her boyfriend call the shots. Madison admits he was disappointed. Sami exclaims so what, Rafe is disappointed in her and that will not affect her work. Madison pulls rank. She is the boss. Sami argues she is a parent and the two paychecks have made a difference for her and Rafe, who is not making more than a few cents. Madison doubts the money is important to Rafe. Sami is not impressed by her lack of nerve. Madison orders her to resign to Kate. Sami flat out refuses and instead, officially resigns from Mad World ...! Read Part 2 - click here! |
